I have been coming to this vet for years. I love Dr. P!!! She has been so helpful in my pet's many unusual ways of being unhealthy. She is able to work us in for emergencies and help us understand the best care for our animals. The staff help me to get in and out of the building which is a huge help with my spinal injuries. They are an extension of our family and offer great service for great pricing. I would highly recommend!

The doctor is amazing but it seems the rest of the staff isn't as attentive. I had been waiting for weeks to get a lab result only to find they had gotten the results already but decided to not call me because it was good news ???? several messages went in responded to, I was also told they were unable to use certain pet pharmacy that I had already used before and already purchased the meds from simply because their fax machine was down. Very unprofessional. But again, Dr Diaz is a very good doctor, your pet is in good hands but I like a more attentive team so they lost my business for now

The exotic doctor Dr. Diaz retired and they arent looking at exotics which is very unfortunate because i had a bird and rabbit that needed to be seen. Hope they get a new one soon. I am still rating 5* because they were helpful in trying to help me find a clinic that could see my pets.

Best vet clinic I’ve ever been to! I am only taking my pets (1 dog, 6 rats) here from now on. I’ve had experiences with multiple vets in the central Florida / greater Orlando area and Lake Howell Animal Clinic is the best one I’ve been to. I am extremely happy with the work they do and how much care and time they invest in each furry patient that they treat. You can really tell they care about your pet and not only about the money coming in. Personally, I feel most comfortable taking all my girls here as I feel they actually want to help them and help them get better. For example, I recently brought in my rats, Silly and Nicole, for an URI and the doctor spent time asking my questions about my girls and making a chart so that I could better understand what was was happening to them and where / which rat their infection might have originated from. I forgot to mention, the clinic is run by a husband and wife duo, where he does the exotic animals and she does the non-exotic ones. It works out great if you are a pet owner of multiple species. I used to take my dog to banfield as well as winter park animal hospital (Lee rd) and they were both expensive and too profit-driven for an animal hospital in my opinion. I also gave taken my dogs to the 408 pet hospital and it was affordable, but I also felt as though they just wanted their patients to be in and out as quickly as possible. Ever since my friend—who goes to this clinic—recommended Lake Howell animal clinic to me, this is the only place I will trust to take care of my beloved pets. They really do want to help you and it is obvious by their fair prices and extreme hospitality.

Bad idea. I called to set an appointment and was given one the next day. It was during the COVID crisis so I found out that I could not make the appointment the next day, WITHIN HOURS after making the appointment, I called to cancel and they refused to give me my money back because it was cancelled the day before and I did not give them 24-48 hours notice! It's against the law because there is no harm done here when cancelling the appointment within hours of making it. There is NO LOSS because they had the appointment open the day before. PLUS, I was never INFORMED by Samantha, who gave me the appointment, that the fee was NONRefundable. They have to BY LAW give you that warning BEFORE you secure the appointment. I was furious when she still would not refund the $72, even when I told Ms. Samantha that by law I had to be refunded. She hung up on me. I called right back again and Amy answered. She was nice and said she would check with the office manager. She came back and said the office manager said "No, it was their policy." This appointment was made the day before, so they should refund the money back! Instead, I have to go to my bank and cancel the transaction on my account. Regardless of THEIR POLICIES - they must be LEGAL. Then, I went to my bird store and they told me that this hospital has a horrible reputation among the bird community. He told me that it would take several visits and hundreds of dollars before this vet determines the problem. He recommended another vet. I will go there.

I highly recommend this vet, especially for exotics! I have a bunny who's been sick for a couple of months. I've taken her to another vet who did not fix the problem and barely even diagnosed anything. The dr. Was extremely knowledgeable about my rabbit and explained everything to me. Within a day I could tell my bunny was feeling better and got some energy back. They are a bit more expensive than other vets in the area but I'd rather pay once to fix the problem the first time.

Great staff. They were very good with our previous dog and now we are using them for our new puppy. Easy straight forward visits and the rates are very fair. Highly recommended!

I called on a Saturday morning for an emergency visit and they worked my Butterball in. I have no complaints from the staff, they are all so helpful! Dr. Diaz is the best and so caring!

Overly priced. The first time I took my rabbit here cost $400 for an outer ear infection and eye drops for his sneezing. Everything was done & I was informed of the cost afterwards. A simple check up results in costing $100+ easily. Then I took my bunny in a week and a half ago for head tilt, and the presence of E. Cunniculi was a possibility. No screening or tests were performed. Instead the vet prescribed 4 medications for the length of 14 days, costing $150 total. No medication was prescribed to treat e. Cunniculi. Instead the vet wanted to do a procedure where my rabbit would have to be put under to clean out his ear with a saline solution. This procedure was scheduled, however they never once brought up the cost of it. I called a day before to find out the procedure would cost $300. I took my rabbit to a different vet for a second opinion. This vet discussed the cost of everything openly before doing anything. One quick x-ray and a look inside his ear, the vet was certain that the inflammation in his ear is due to E. Cunniculi. So he got prescribed two medications to treat it. An X-ray, exam, and 2 medications that will last him 2 months only cost me $180 in total. No mention of a procedure or inner ear infection. I will never go to this vet again. But I highly recommend Bob Irelan animal hospital over in Lakeland.

This is by far the best exotic vet I’ve ever visited. Dr. Diaz was absolutely amazing with my Tegu. I drove over an hour because my poor boy broke two legs. The other vet I visited just charged 400 bucks and didn’t even secure the limb (also missed a broken bone) they were more than accommodating , Super friendly and the doctor was so caring and so interested in my animal, I felt so at home. They even had the option to drop off my lizard overnight and they keep them in a temp controlled room for reptiles. I absolutely will never take my exotics to another vet.

We brought our baby bearded dragon in yesterday, and received excellent care! Dr. Diaz was very kind and helpful in diagnosing our new little friend. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful!

Attempted to reschedule an appointment within 24 hours, they require 48 hours minimum to reschedule the appointment; or they will keep your $50 deposit without refund. Absolutely crazy. Oh every call you make, they record you without telling you.

Dr. Perez is the most humane vet I have ever met. She is friendly, kind, and caring. I highly recommend her.

Saw Dr. Diaz for bearded dragon. He seemed knowledgeable enough but didn't come back into exam room after informing me what was wrong with her and instead sent tech so I still had a lot of unanswered questions.

The best Vets in central Florida. One does exotics and the other does cats & dogs I drive 45 minutes from Orange City.

Dr. Diaz and the assistant vets took great care of my bunnies. My new baby was missing a back leg and they did everything to help her. They understand that bunnies are just as valuable as any other pet. I am very grateful for everything they did to help her. She didn't make it but they were very supportive and did everything they could. My other bunny has also had care from them and they gave great advise and care.

Dr. Diaz is amazing. Unlike other vets/ doctors, he will actually sit and talk and answer all questions. Hebis incredibly knowledgeable about bearded dragons. We will only go there for our dragon. Definitely the best.

I want to thank Dr Diaz and his nurse so must for taken care of my African Gray. I bought her in very sick and after a week she is back to her old self with the antibiotic and other medicine that was issued. Every one was so helpful and pleasant. Will differally use them again in the future.

They are the best! I have been bringing my guinea pig Pillsbury for a while and we will always be coming back.
