I had to bring my dog in for specialty surgery. The vet doing the surgery met with me personally beforehand to explain everything in detail, including the full procedure and any "what-if's" that may arise during. The check-in process was …

I would not trust my dog with ANY other specialty vet. this is the second surgery for my pup and its like he never had a problem with his hind legs at all. They explain everything in detail and the follow up is exemplary. Dr Tano and Dr Blumenthal are the BEST!

I brought the love of my life here, an 11 year old lab mix for a second opinion because the first hospital said red red blood cells were very low and she needed specialty care. I called immediately the next time I could get to speak to someone, immediately got an appointment and we went there. After 1500.00, I was told her tests were spot on and they cannot believe how perfect she was. We go home and within 36 hours, she is peeing dark blood and hadn’t eaten in 2 days. We put her to sleep bc she was in distress. When I called them before deciding to put her down, it was the day after Christmas and I called as soon as they opened. I was told the doctor gets in at 8:00am and she will call me then. I was hysterical when I called so they knew how urgent it was. I got a call from the doctor’s tech 6 hours later. I told them my plan and they said, “sorry”. You can decide on your own what your opinion is of this place. I needed to share this in respect to my best friend.

It was the most amazing experience Despite the critical situation of having a very sick dog. BluePearl pet Hospital was recommended by a vet that I know, and I was not disappointed. The staff is amazing and the Vet went above and beyond to help guide us. She kept me updated on the progress And she informed me about the prices. We all know that it cost money to have pets and especially very sick pets, but the vet didn’t try to sell anything. She was fair and honest. The staff followed up a few days later, and when I needed extra referrals they helped me right away. I will highly recommend Blue pearl to other dog lovers who search for the best of the best. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for helping Siko. Susan Binau Celebration, Florida

Update: our sweet boy passed peacefully yesterday at home. He lived to be almost 4 years old thanks to Dr. Wolffs guidance, encouragement, and knowledge. We were a frequent visitor at Blue Pearl and the whole staff was amazing. Thank you to everyone who helped take care of our sweet Loki. You guys were often a light in dark tunnels for us. ❤️ Our 1 year old pup was unfortunately diagnosed with renal dysplasia. Dr. Wolff has provided exceptional care and has been very patient with our questions. He is extremely knowledgeable in his arena and truly orders what is necessary for your pet. My fiancé and I are both in health care (nurse practitioner and nurse anesthesia), and we feel confident and at ease going here to get the best care we can for our pup! It has taken a lot of anxiety off of our chests knowing he is in the best hands possible for his condition.

My two dogs have been unlucky enough to both need hospital care. One for a TECA and the other for diagnostics when presented with nystagmus. Fortunately, BluePearl was here to take care of them. I cannot say enough great things about the staff here. They were attentive, informative and so caring towards myself and my dogs. I trusted them implicitly knowing they would take care of their medical needs as well as look after them as if they were their own. My heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone there: the vets, the techs, the front desk. I am forever grateful they are here for our family members.

I wanted to write a review because as my dog was in their care, I read so many terrible reviews, I was so worried! Our Lilly went to the emergency clinic on Friday night. After spending the weekend there and still unwell, we transferred her to Blue Pearl in Maitland on the clinics recommendation first thing Monday morning. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything to us. They were very upfront with costs, and yes, as many have mentioned they are expensive. But its an emergency hospital. If I go to the people hospital, I know I'm going to be paying a premium. Dr. Summers was excellent, giving us a full picture of what we were dealing with and what the costs would be at each step. But she was also very forthright about the fact that we could certainly skip certain tests until the outcome of others, to control cost. Dr. Summers have very clear pros and cons of taking her home vs. keeping her in hospital and was able to confirm our pups diagnosis and gave us step by step instructions for taking her home. Our charges were actually less than what they originally quoted, so take the posts that say this is a money machine and they will do whatever necessary to charge the most with a grain of salt. We were able to take our Lilly home that afternoon and she is on the mend and back to fighting with her brother.

It was my first time going here. Beginning with making the appointment through to check out the staff was professional, dedicated, thorough and friendly. I really appreciated them working with me to decide what was most important to rule out and then go through the steps to keep costs down. Ultimately, after doing an abdominal ultrasound to check for any issue that was causing a poor appetite and weight loss we decided that using my wellness plan at Banfield to do x-rays and labs would be the best choice. They outlined what I would do next if those results are inconclusive. (A GI panel of labs, they gave me the cost and said I should also ask my vet what their costs would be so I could compare.) They truly wanted what was best for my cat and not just to make the most money. They were compassionate to understand that I could not run all the tests at once ($1,700) and explained that she is stable and this has been a slow ongoing issue for nearly two years of weight ups and downs so that I could budget it out and do more testing when I was able. I will be using them again in the future. My only regret is that I did not understand I only have a wellness plan through Banfield and that it is not TRUE INSURANCE! Now that my cat is 11 years old and having an issue I do not qualify for a plan anywhere. If this issue resolves without having a pre existing diagnosis I will certainly be getting real pet insurance. We love Banfield's wellness plan as it covers unlimited vet visits, immunizations, routine labs and testing as well as dental if you choose that package for a low monthly payment. But I would want to supplement it with insurance. Now that I know a ton of places offer pet insurance: USAA, Walmart, Geico, etc.! I will recommend this vet to friends and family also. Thank you Dr. Wolf & Dr. Taylor as well as your team.

This place is truly wonderful. In 2004, my first dog had back surgery there. We had her for another 9 years. Now, we had to bring my current dog there. Our regular vet thought her kidneys were gone. She called BluePearl and asked if they can see her immediately. They said yes and we brought her over. Dinah, my dog, had pancreatitis that affected her right Kidney. Dr. Ewan Wolff and Dr. Tiffany Lee are the best. Dr. Lee called us everyday to keep us updated on Dinah's condition. Now she is on the mend thanks to this wonderful place, wonderful staff, and wonderful doctors! UPDATE: I know I should have posted this months ago but I was just able to do it now. My Dinah passed away on August 29. This is no way the fault of BluePearl. They are still a wonderful pet hospital. It was just too late for Dinah. At least they gave her a few more weeks to be with us. Without them, she would have died much earlier. Thank you, BluePearl, for giving us those extra special weeks.

I was referred by my Primary Vet for my 5 month old GSD puppy, Primary Vet had taken X-Rays and referred us to Blue Pearl. Primary Vet emailed X-rays with written reports and set up appt with Surgeon, Had to wait two weeks before Blue Pearl would see pup, said it wasn't an emergency even thought x-ray showed a break thru crack in bone. During visit with surgeon, we were told they couldn't find email from our Vet so I had to show X-ray that I took with my phone from my Vets office. We had the surgery done two weeks ago and pup seems to be doing well. I will add that they are Very Expensive and ask for a lot of estimated cost up front. Unfortunately I had no other choice of local care for pup or I would have not had the surgery done at Blue Pearl, especially after setting up appointment and they couldn't find X-rays from my Vet and on there web site, it talks about a clinic trials started in 2018 for injection for Elbow Dysplasia (pup diagnosed with) Surgeon and Tech knew nothing about it when I ask question about trial and tech went on there web site and found it and then commented well it's a trial. Surgeon to me she would look into it and get back with me. Still waiting!

Dr Kramer and her fellow doctor were AMAZING! From over-the-phone check in through the explanation of the surgery, their knowledge and professionalism were unmatched. The explained the procedure in great detail and answered all of my questions. I would recommend them to my family and closest friends. We've scheduled our pets surgery and feel so confident in the successful outcome!

The worst experience of my life! My dog was drowning, they didn't want to help my dog because he couldn't pay the $ 500 deposit. I can't believe they let a poor animal suffer to death because you have no money right now. I offered to leave my card on file so they could withdraw the money in 5 days and they refused to help my poor animal, my baby died hours later.

I want to thank Dr Knight and her entire team in urology for the care and attention they demonstrate toward my precious girl Nala. One day Nala woke up limping on her back legs. My husband and I immediately became concerned and rushed her to our vet whom referred us to blue pearl. We left Nala in the care of the blue pearl doctors to run test and a CT scan. Sadly we received the horrific news that our girl had osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer that was not only the worse form of cancer however very painful for the dog as well. We made the most terrible decision any pet owner has to make to euthanized our beloved girl while she was still under anesthesia. After a month and a half I was still having a difficult time dealing with the loss of my fur baby,I felt so guilty for not seeing the signs and secondly for not being with her while she was being euthanized. I decided to go see the doctors that tended to my girl as well as to see the x rays. Dr Knight not only took the time to show them to me she also explained the severity of this type of cancer and how there are no signs. She also made me aware that I had done everything right. After leaving the office I was feeling much better and more at peace with the loss of my pet. Nala will always have a paw print on my heart and I know that with time it does get better. These doctors not only care for our fur babies they also care for the owners.
