Ricci Mara DVM Lutz, Florida

I have been trying to hold back my opinions on them ,but I’m really disappointed at them as I move along my dog treatment with them. This hospital is very business-driven.The doctor cares more about doing business and making money than caring about my dog. She pushed over more expensive treatments than my dog actually needs , and the monthly refill request is totally a disaster，I have been calling them 4-5 times a day to request a refill for my dog’s prescription,but the doctor seems care less about patients when it comes to no-money request , she is not responding with a positive and timely manner, Which is really disappointing.

My regular vet was unable to get us in easily but recommended NTAH. They are fantastic (and closer to where I live now). As much as I love the vet I've been going to for years I happily plan to transition at least some of my crew because I felt very comfortable having my fur kid seen here.

I wish we had seen dr Ricci first then maybe this review wouldn't be so bad. Took my baby for infection from tooth. Wasnt given options. Wasnt explained what dentist had said to them. Was charged for a service they couldn't perform first day. Wasnt told what they neede to do until he was sedated. Was told no additional meds then there were. Was told post op by Dr ricci but front desk gave conflicting post op instructions. And I still have to take him to dentist for problem I went to them for.

Dr.Ricci is the best. She saved our dogs live. She answers calls and calls you back. The front staff can be alittle better. This is a very busy place and hard to get through and be seen also not sure if everyone gets all their messages but i will not take anything away from Dr. Ricci.

We’ve been bringing our cats to Dr. Ricci for years now. She is patient and compassionate, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful staff and always attentive to animals and owners needs

Dr. Elizabeth Novy is fantastic. Comprehensive and compassionate care. She has seen 2 of our 3 dogs and I am thrilled to have her take care of them. We will be returning. Sad update. One of our 3 dogs was ill and that's why we initially sought treatment with Dr. Novy. Unfortunately, he had an aggressive form of cancer and we had to put him to sleep. Through the entire diagnostic and treatment process, Dr. Novy was there for us with thorough and compassionate care. She referred us to an amazing oncology specialist team, Fetch Veterinary Services in Brandon, and ultimately to an equally amazing veterinary end-of-life team. Dr. Megan with Lap of Love, and Honor thy Pet, were able to give us the gift of Sammy's peaceful passing at home in our arms and cremation services. I can't speak highly enough of everyone who helped us through this difficult time. They made a horrible situation better for us, and I'll be forever grateful.

Moved to Tampa for the winter and they were conviently close to where I lived. Great service and prices. Would recommend.

We have been going to this hospital for all our animals for the past 10 years. The staff is super caring and they are very helpful. We have had two pets pass away and they are just so great there. Let us have extra time and we didn't feel rushed. They were super compassionate.

Dr. Ricci and her team have gone the extra mile for our goat, Gumbo.

Have many pets visit this hospital. Doctor and staff are awesome.

Very patient and caring with my fur baby

I love this place and all the people that work here. I have seven dogs that they take care of and I am very happy with the way they take care of my animals. They're always there for any questions I may have or needs for my animals. The cost for medications or services is comprable or better than most places. I would recommend New Tampa animal to everyone for their animal services and needs.

Run. Scammer$.Get a 2nd opinion. Liers. Abuse dogs. Bad.bad. fund of knowledge bad to worse.

Great place for pets to visit!

Been taking my babies here for years! They love what they do and everyone is ALWAYS very friendly and happy! Dr. Ricci takes time to listen and answer any questions. Love them!

New Tampa animal hospital is by far the Best Vet I've been to. Paris (my dog) has been a patient here for over 4 years and they've always provided spectacular care for my four legged best friend! The office staff and doctors are super friendly and informative! They send annual reminders for follow ups and always take Paris in quickly if there is ever an emergency situation! And I've never been swindled into any unnecessary treatments. Thank you NTAH for being amazing throughout every visit. I have and will continue to send any friends/family your way! ????

What a joke. Nickle and dime central. We need an appointment before your appointment so we can set up your "appointment". To establish a relationship with your animal which they'll proudly charge you for. You've been warned... Stay away from this place.

I brought my Frenchie here to get neutered after getting a ridiculous quote from Banfield. Banfield suggested that I upgrade my pet wellness plan to include neuter procedure. If I did not upgrade, the doctor said that I could easily pay up to $1k for neutering. I called New Tampa Animal Hospital and they gave me a very reasonable quote and patiently explained the procedure. This office is so efficiently managed. Day before the surgery, I received a courtesy call and reminder to bring all of my dog’s records. Day of the surgery, check-in was super easy and fast. They made me and my dog feel so welcome and comfortable. I felt good leaving my dog with them, knowing he will be in good hands. Things that stood out: Clean clinic, kind and knowledgeable staff, organized and efficient. New Tampa Animal Hospital exceeded my expectations.

Been coming here for a couple years. Always have good experiences. From the front desk to the assistants and vets, everyone is really nice.
