Veterinary Center at Fishhawk Lithia, Florida

We are new to the area and we were looking for a vet for our aging dog. So glad we found Dr. Katie. She won't gouge you with unnecessary procedures and is very thorough and professional. I don't think you could find a better vet for your pet.

I recently have switched all of my dogs over to here from another vets office. I highly recommend this establishment. Their entire staff is very professional and informative. I recently had a somewhat emergency situation with one of my dogs and they were able to fit him in in a timely fashion. Doctors have always been able to answer all my questions and every time I have been there I haven't waited long so they are extremely punctual when it comes to appointments.

Our Boykin Spaniel had been mauled by an aggressive dog and she suffered traumatic injuries to her lower jaw, gums and teeth. After being stabilized at the ER that night, The Vet Ctr at Fishhawk, made arrangements to get her in to see Dr. Katie and her team the following morning to assess her injuries. The entire staff was wonderful. Professional, compassionate and caring. Dr. Berger was the surgeon, and after examining her was able to perform her reconstructive surgery within a few hours. She was home with us later that night. I am absolutely awestruck by Dr.Berger’s surgical expertise and skill at reconstructing her jaw. She looks absolutely amazing. Her injuries where horrific and Dr. Berger has restored her to the perfect little Boykin she’s always been. I will never take my animals anywhere else. They cared for her as if she was their own. The vet techs are fantastic too! Thank you to Dr. Katie and all the caring staff at the Veterinary Center at Fishhawk. I especially want to thank Dr. Berger for your skill and compassion, and taking such good care of our girl! ♥️♥️♥️

Everyone at the vet were very knowledgeable and very kind. This is my second pet I take here and have been with them for over 10 years. They listen to your concerns and give you options you are comfortable with. They seem to truly love pets.

We had an emergency with our dog, I called this vet office as a new customer and they took us in the same afternoon. The office is very efficient with wait times and clean, and the vet assistant and Dr. Natalie Paul, who saw us, were very compassionate and professional with our terrified dog who is always afraid of strangers. He did just fine, received the treatment for his awful allergies, and we left with the medications and instructions for his care. He's doing much better. They even called the next day to check up on him. I'll definitely be back if a need arises and for routine visits. Highly recommend this vet office.

We have been taken or babies Gizmo and now Lilly. This team has been amazing. Gizmo past away a year ago and the team of Veterinary Center at Fishhawk have guided us in the entire process. Gave us time to grieve and ensured everything was taken care of. Therefore, when we adopted Lilly we knew they would take excellent care of our fur baby.

We have been taking our wonderful pups, Marley, Maisie, Juniper and now our bundle of fur, Guthrie, to Dr. Katie at VCF for many years. Through surgeries, checkups, and lots of hand holding, we can say, without reservation, that each of our doggies has received perfectly wonderful care. The entire team is professional, responsive and certainly well-equipped to give all the care and advice that is needed at every routine visit, medical emergency, surgery and phone calls from a worried dog mom. I took my dog Bentley in because he had some rashes show up all over his belly. There was no wait and we went right into a room. The Dr’s assistant came in shortly after we got into the room with a smile on her face and made me feel comfortable right away. The Dr came in in the same manner. Bentley loved being there and they were friendly and explained everything very clearly. The charge was much less than I paid at my last vet. We will definitely return.

I just absolutely loved them all . Staff was just so patient with all my questions and so very sweet . Dr. Katie was amazing . I’m very picky when it comes to my Veterinarian practice . They were recommended by someone who’s probably more picky than I am . The place was absolutely spotless , informative, compassionate, and caring . I took my baby Irish Wolfhound. I have another 5 year old Wolfie and a Belgian Malinois that is very difficult. They will all be joining FISHHAWK . Love them

Took our kitten that we found for the first time and was extremely satisfied with the visit. We found him in our ditch soaking wet. He was in rough shape until we found this place. Everyone there was professional, sympathetic and kind. I feel they did a thorough job taking care of our little Oliver. They even called us a couple of days after our appointment to check on the little guy. I would 100 percent recommend this place. You can rest assured that your pets will be taken care of with compassion and kindness.

The staff here are fantastic. Dr. Katie is a gem. They really care for our dogs. They are reasonably priced and are super honest about the needs of our dogs and they don't force anything on us that we don't want. They were compassionate when we lost one of our dogs and two of our Guinea pigs. Highly recommend the Veterinary Center at Fishhawk!

Excellent veterinarians that go way and beyond to take care of your animals if you have any pets you want to go there

I do not recommend this place at all because I took my dog in and they had to put him under some anesthesia for his dental cleaning and they actually sent him home with the catheter in his leg. This was even after I asked when I could remove the bandage they should of notice it was still in his leg but instead they sent him home. This was definitely a horrible experience and I will not take my dog back!

Love, love, love this vet. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Dr. Katie is always up to date on the latest research for your pet. This enables her to make the best decisions to care for your pet. She has helped my pets with allergies, kidney disease, lymphoma, UTI, etc. I always feel I am receiving the best care for my dogs and cats.

We travel from New Tampa to see Dr. Berger. It's a long ride but it is worth it. Dr. Berger is a phenomenal doctor who is not only kind and caring but also incredibly gifted in his field. We are so grateful to have found such a remarkable doctor. Our dog is chronically ill (Dr. Berger saved his life, he had stopped eating, needed to be carried out to relieve himself, etc. After meeting Dr. Berger (who we brought him to as a second opinion), who performed a pair of procedures, he was running around like a puppy. We couldn't believe it. He was right back to his old self. Our dog is now on borrowed time but he gave him a great quality of life for what remains, so far it's been two years! (He was in such bad shape, I was ready to put him to sleep just before Dr. Berger's 2nd procedure.) He is the only doctor we trust him with. He also takes the time to explain exactly what is going on in layman's terms, rather than overwhelming me with terminology that I am not familiar with. He is a truly amazing doctor and a good man. Twenty stars wouldn't be enough.
