All Pets Clinic in Lakewood Ranch Lakewood Ranch, Florida

We have been relying on the veterinarians and staff with All Pets Clinic along S.R. 70 in Lakewood Ranch since 2016 as primary care providers for our cat. They are in a convenient location, on-time with most appointments, provide excellent service, and have reasonable rates for clinic visits and treatments. Most of the time when we've had an appointment for our cat, we were seen within 10 or 15 minutes of arrival. On one occasion it took a bit longer, but this was during the bizarre time of COVID. Let me explain why All Pets Clinic is a **phenomenal** care-provider for your pets. In mid-2021 we noticed a small bump on our cat's back. At first, I was thinking it might be some sort of wart or the sort, so monitored it. After a couple of weeks, though, it had grown, so we brought her in for an appointment. Her primary care vet determined it should be surgically removed and then sent for biopsy. The surgery went well, and in a few weeks the biopsy results had identified an aggressive form of cancer. All Pets Clinic put us in contact with a veterinary oncologist who oversaw radiation treatment in the coming months. This was all a daunting process, and upsetting, but between the surgery and radiation therapy, our cat is now doing great and seems to be cancer free! Even the oncologist said her primary care veterinarian did a good job with the surgery and was confident he could monitor for any potential reoccurrences. We'll be relying on All Pets Clinic for years to come, undoubtedly, and if there are any new animals who come into our life.

The vet physicians are really well informed and helpful; however, the office staff is rude and beyond off putting. I showed up for my appointment and no one bothered telling me it was canceled. When I confronted the office staff later by phone, they were outrageous trying to tell me they called (they did not call me or my spouse). It's one thing to make a schedulibg error and to apologize, but it's very disconcerting to outright lie to a customer. I will not be taking my pet back here.

Our Dog Nacho had to have surgery today, with a pandemic going on right now, Dr Mauricio Vargas and his staff were so kind and made Nacho and us feel safe! everything went great .we highly recommend Dr Mauricio Vargas and All Pets Clinic at Lakewood Ranch it's worth our 1/2 hour drive each way from downtown Sarasota to keep our Nacho Healthy. we give them 5 stars +

I’m not impressed. we’ve scheduled two appointments so far and both nobody showed up and they said there were emergencies and they couldn’t come out until the next day, next day... nobody showed up(again) and no calls were answered until like an hour and a half after they were supposed to be here.. now they say they can’t see us until next week... no thanks!

I don’t even think five stars is enough. The guy is so down to earth and knows animals very well. He knew the exact problem before even running tests. He is very honest and upfront. Very appreciative of Dr. Vargas.

Dr Vargas and Team are wonderful! Dr Vargas explained everything in detail and even took some time to sit on the floor with my GS pup and play for a moment! The front desk and the girls in the back were amazing and personable as well! They even called me the next day to follow up with me and my GS puppy! Highly recommend to everyone!

Dr. Vargas is the best. I wish he could be my general physician. We started taking our pets to All Pets Clinic right after they first opened and have never second guessed that good decision. About a month ago our 4 legged son Bubba(golden retriever) health took a sudden turn when he had a seizure and Dr. Vargas gave us all the options followed by sound advice never trying to push expensive tests based on Bubba's current condition. The care and compassion we watched him give our little buddy as he sat on the floor with him, feeding him was incredible. This man truly loves pets and if we ever move rest assured we'll make the drive with our pets to wherever Dr. Vargas is in the future.

This vet will completely scam you out of your money. He will charge you for random procedures without even asking permission to complete them on your pet. He is just there to make as much money as he can while giving as little care as possible. Please go anywhere else with your pet!!!

Dr Vargas is by far the most caring vet around! He has treated all of our animals for the past 4 years and its always a pleasure!

Dr. Vargas and his staff are all compassionate and kind. They care for all animals. When my Stella wasn’t feeling well, they even came out to my house to help out. Stella was unable to use her back legs and with some vitamins and laser treatments.. she is running around again! I bring my 3 dogs and my bearded dragon to see Dr. Vargas. I have never seen so much compassion and dedication in a veterinary practice. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Always a big hug ???? for Doc. And I have witnessed others giving hugs to Doc. We do not recommend Dr. Vargas. We took our dog in for a small growth under his chin. Dr Vargas suggested a biopsy to learn more. He left the exam room with our dog; no-one ever gave us an estimate for cost, or told us what to expect. We eventually had to go find office staff and were told to come back in 90 minutes to pick up our dog. When we returned we were billed approximately $580 for the biopsy/lab portion of our visit and he told us that he found 2 other growths and that we should "prepare ourselves” for the biopsy results which would be available a week later. After a week of worry, we returned only to learn that the lab had LOST (yes, lost) the biopsy and therefore never ran any tests. The lab refunded their portion of the bill. Dr. Vargas appeared very upset with the lab and claimed he was going to "charge them double". He then tried to tell us that we had nothing to worry about, that our dog’s chin and lymph nodes “felt fine” - a complete contradiction to his conclusion a week earlier. We were very upset at having put our dog through what turned out to be a waste of a procedure and having zero answers and no way of even getting any. So now we “wait and see” if anything returns while we miss out on valuable time that could have been used for treatment if necessary? Unacceptable. We subsequently requested a refund for the rest of the fees associated with the biopsy ($387) since it turned out to be an unnecessary procedure, and Dr. Vargas’ office denied that request. We understand that the lab was incompetent, but it is the lab of Dr. Vargas’ choosing (and we were told by his office staff that this wasn’t the first problem they had encountered with that lab). Mistakes happen, but how they are handled tells you a lot about someone and the way Dr. Vargas and his staff handled this one told us that he definitley isn’t the Vet for us.

Dr. Vargas was amazing! He showed me what was going on with my dog and explained everything that was going on. He showed me as if I was a student and answered the questions I had. Casey, my dog, went in because she wasn’t feeling well. She came out looking great. She ended up having an allergic reaction. We came back to Dr. Vargas and he cooled her down with blankets, ice and gave her Benedryl. They made sure Casey was eating well and drinking liquids and sent her back home. She’s back home now drinking liquids and is eating food. She’s currently begging for human food! The techs (don’t know their names) were amazing! I wish I knew them because the girl in black got along well with my dog. She was amazing! Can’t wait for Casey to go again. Totally recommend this place!

Dr Vargus is the best in the area he's very professional, his entire staff is. He take very good care of our little loving family members. Check it out for yourself. He's awesome!!

My wife and kids love doc he's great with animals and his staff is always wonderful. He makes your pet feel like family a real animal lover. My not be your typical vet stop does not have that hospital like feel, much more homey barn yard love. You and your pet will feel safe and loved.

This clinic has the best staff from the moment you walk in your animal is in the best hands. Dr. Vargas also goes out of his way when we need help at our sanctuary. Look no further if you can get here this is the place.

A friendly office staff with an inviting, warm atmosphere. Dr. Vargas is one of the few First Adopters Veterinarians that has began to utilize CBD to help his wide range of clientele. Always innovating, seeking state-of-the-art answers and solutions for our family pets. From Equine to exotics and of course the family dash-hound or tabby!

We came to visit my nephew from Michigan and they have a pig. The vet came to their house, and he went above and beyond what he was called for, was loaded with information. Hands down best vet I’ve ever dealt with. Highly Recommend.

Dr Vargas and his staff are very caring for my pets. Ive been taking my Belgian Shepherd her for a few months now, and I can say without a doubt, that he cares for my furry pet as much as I care for my own children. His knowledge and understanding of veterinary medicine is beyond compare. I suggest anyone in the Manatee/ Sarasota county areas with almost any kind of animal should bring them here. He will even make house calls if necessary. You have a horse? He'll take care of it. Does your pig need neutering? He's your Vet. Does your Macaw need a break trimming? Give All Pets Clinic a visit. I've never been to a Vet that is so versatile with the amount of animals he knows how to work with.

Dr.s are good however they always charge $75 for exam and do not check eyes,ears, heart unless you ask. Assistants always seem a little confused. Also they are a unreasonably expensive. Wait time in exam room for the Dr is excessive, sometimes 45 min to an hour. Over all not really pleased.

Dr.Vargas is one of the best veterinarians I know. Period. He has provided excellent care to all of my pets and continues to do so. He is one out of few who has explain what and why he wants to prescribe certain medications and treatments for my animals. Even when any of my animals need to have a procedure, he has gone through the steps he will take in what needs to be done. Also if there is a chance that surgery can be avoided he'll take it. Dr. Vargas has always shown kindness, love and compassion to my pets every single time we've come in for an appointment and has always called to see how they have been doing.
