I am so thankful to have Polk County Animal Hospital as my pet's veterinarian. All the staff are just simply amazing and wonderful and when I had an emergency with my Boston terrier this past Wednesday, they jumped right in and Dr. Howell treated my baby girl and I with so much kindness ???? Shout out too to Kim who is amazing at everything she does and all the staff at Polk County Animal Hopsital!!!! Pebbles, Mila, and Luna love you!!!!!

Great doctors, great bedside manner, treats your pet like thier own. Each year, we bring in our 3 cats, who are singing the song of their people the whole way there. One of my cats is always less than thrilled to be at the vets office, and makes it known. Dr. Adler is super patient and very kind with him, and of course, our other 2 cats who don't mind the doctors office. She has been BabyBlue's vet since she was a teeny kitten. All of the staff is kind, compassionate and truly love what they do. Personally, I won't go anywhere else for my animals. Thank you, PCAH for always being there for our furbabies!

Polk Country Animal Hospital and staff are great. Recently my 14 year old cat had breathing trouble attributed to her heart condition. It would have cost me thousands of dollars more to take her to a cardiologist but PCAH was there and drains fluids from her heart making her last days comfortable. I recommend them as your first choice in veterinary medicine!

Sent in an an appointment request yesterday, and received a one sentence text reply today that they are no longer accepting new clients. Might want to mention this on your website .

Staff is great and so is Dr. Howard. Thank you for taking great care of my cat. Only downfall is COVid restrictions of not being able to be in person with my animal.

I am not a client there but my interaction with one of your employees was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name so I could thank her properly but I do remember her bright purple hair. I had just picked up medicine from my vets office and when I got home, after looking at it, was very confused. I was unable to get ahold of anyone there so I tool a chance and called your office. She told me to come on down and even though you would be closing soon, she would wait. She came outside and went over what each medicine was for, the dosing, and tips on how to give it. She even noticed one was not mixed up correctly, it needed water added to it, so she fixed it and gave me a syringe that would make it easier to give then the one it came with. So thank you for helping a silly old women out, your kindness meant more then you will ever know! Austin (my dog) thanks you too and is back to his old self.

I do not recommend. They are severely overpriced. I brought my cat for a suspected uti, and her annual shots. They quoted me for shots, sedation(pretty sure it wasn't very necessary), urinalysis, and some random stuff they decided to tack on was $291!!! Their exam is only $48! I was told over the phone I would be in the ball park under a hundred(before medications, labs and etc.). Then they said if they do lab's it was almost $600!!! That is just insane. Let's just say, I asked for my cat back and left. I feel so bad that my cat had to endure all that for nothing. If anyone knows a more affordable place I'm all ears! Just don't bring yoyr animals here unless you want to get robbed!

Polk County Animal Hospital has been taking care of my two dogs for three years now and we love the care we get. The veterinarians always answer my questions clearly and help me in making the best choices for my pets. When my dog hurt himself it was easy to get an appointment the next day for the doctor to look at and treat him. I highly recommend that you try Polk County Animal Hospital for the care of your pets.

These are great people who treat your pets as FAMILY! They are COMPETANT AND CARING.....they have our full trust... We are a Kitty loving family and have had about 10 fur babies so far. WE have only one kitty now and she is a lovable old lady,,,, I cannot foresee not having a kitty for the rest of our lives.

I experienced the kindness and compassion when my parents adopted their dog, that a few months later I adopted my dog and started taking her here. They are kind, gentle, and courteous. They will always be my vet's office.

I brought our healthy pup for neutering. Was initially quoted one price on the phone, but only after I paid for the pre-surgery blood work and the two hour drive to their facility, did I find out the surgery was 3 times more than quoted. The office manager graciously agreed to meet the price that was quoted to me which I appreciate. Three days after the surgery, his incision was bleeding, draining and swollen and required emergency surgery at a local animal ER to open and clean the abscess requiring an overnight stay. I don't know who is at fault, but wanted to voice my experience in case it is something that has occurred to others pets who were treated at this facility. And if so, this may prevent another animal's suffering. Between the miscommunication on pricing and the abscess that followed, I do have major concerns and therefore won't return.

Talk about a busy place, but they handle it well while still giving the best care. The employees were very friendly and Dr Adler even came out to the car and spoke to my mother to go over the exam and make sure she did not have any questions. The receptionist even gave a follow up call a few days later to make sure our kitty was doing better. Definitely using them again!

After being hospitalized at another vet and still so sick and miserable, I took him to Polk County and they examined him and did testing. Couple hours later I went to get him. The next morning the Vet called and gave me a diagnosis and discussed all the test results. We went down and picked up the meds and he started feeling better right away. Will be going here from now on. As a RN I expect a high standard of care so I'm pretty fussy and this is the place to go.

Took my elderly kitty to see the vet. The tech came out curbside and took my baby for examination, returned to tell me what was recommended for my approval. Did testing and had my baby back to within a short period of time. The vet called with test results and gave recommendation for treatment. Very happy with Polk County Animal Hospital. Very easy to work with!

Lester's vet was honest and professional. She shared our options for him. We really appreciated her follow-up call to check on Lester's progress. We are very pleased that we chose Polk County Animal Hospital and Dr. Adler.

Baxter, a senior dog filled with anxiety, got a kind and patient exam. He has a few problems and after blood work came back, we were called with a full explanation and a plan to take care of him. Great experience!

I have been going to Polk County Animal Hospital in Lakeland, FL for the past 15+ years. Dr. Kecia Howell and staff are the most caring, compassionate and empathetic group of professional people. I wouldn’t think of taking my pets anywhere else. I highly recommend Polk County Animal Hospital for all your pets needs.

I dont know where to start with these wonderful people that we are so grateful to have met. We had been taking our baby girl cloe there for 3 years and they gave her such great care and were able to give us more time with her than we ever thought was possible. Every suggestion of care they recommend worked, and we couldn't have asked for better people for our cloe... you should all be very proud of the care you give, and the whole Young family thanks you for everything you've done. Again thank you!!!

Very disappointed in the service that we received yesterday. I asked the vet to do a chest xray she said she doesn't have time and she still has patient's to see with only an hour before closing at noon. We have brought him in for the 2nd time dealing with the same issue. She never listened to the issues that he was having and yet my poor dog is still having the same issue this afternoon. I won't be bringing him back here. Not only did you lose 1 patient you lost 3! We have 3 dogs we have taken them to this vet for 20 years over having many pets that has been to them. You would think that in these hard times that you would make sure that your customers and pet leave happy.
