Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic Lakeland, Florida

This is the absolute worst experience i have had in a very long time. I waites three hours trying to have my dog evaluated. I was told on more than one occasion that someone will be out shortly to take my dog in to be examined, never happened! I called from the parking lot. I could see the receptionist answer the phone. I asked her were they busy, she not really. But could not give a reason why I was waiting so long. Mean while I saw at least three other pets get taken in. I hope its not the reason thats in the back of my mind! Hope my dog doesn't die tonight!

Had to take my baby there New Years day and ultimately had to leave him for the Weeknd which made me a nervous wreck, Jessica was so sweet and made sure to update to ease our mind that he was doing okay, a big thank you to all the staff we didn't get to meet who took care of him and Dr. Smith who also called us with an update. I have been here in the past with not so caring staff and docs but they have really changed our last few visits there! It's great to have caring friendly staff in a stressful situation.

Highly Recommend! I had an emergency with my dog that required surgery and they were able to get us taken care of almost immediately. Everyone was absolutely wonderful and really made me feel at ease leaving her there. Everyone was compassionate and caring. I hope I don't have to visit again haha but thankful to have a place like this in case of after hour emergencies.

The fact that THEY DONT LET STRAY ANIMALS IN!!! Why the F is this a veterinarian clinic then?????? CAT WAS BLEEDING AND THEY DID NOTHING BUT SAY WE CANT TAKE HIM!!! DONT BRING BUSINESS TO THIS PEOPLE!

My elderly dog had taken a turn for the worse after a routine surgery and it was after hours. She was actively dying and I took her to Parkway to be euthanized. Parkway turned me away and gave me an appointment for 4-5 hours later. I drove home and tried to figure something out for about 45minutes, then drove to VHA (30 minutes away) where they kindly euthanized my dog as she started having seizures in the VHA parking lot. Parkway made an already awful situation worse. We could have skipped the seizures had they allowed us in.

These people are true professionals. We took our cat in on CHRISTMAS MORNING and these wonderful people were so kind. They were compassionate and understanding. I would give them 6 stars if I could. Thank you

Compassionate, caring staff. A full report of procedures, tests and overall health of our newly adopted rescue dog was provided. Nobody likes to use an ER Vet especially on Christmas Day but so glad for Parkway, they saved our dog's life.

They took great care and showed professionalism with me and my baby girl Princess as she passed away.

I get it - going to an emergency vet is not on anyone’s top anything list. And it’s frightening and you don’t know what’s going on. But Parkway was great, nice people, quick service (especially considering this is an after-hours clinic), and we left with answers and a plan for Ein. Thanks so much for making it a positive experience for us!

Great service and very respectful. This is after hours emergency so you will be paying more than a regular vet. Which is to be expected.

i read some reviews about wait time, having to pay a lot etc. but the staff at this office is amazing. it's an emergency vet they do what they can as fast as they can. people have to understand staffing limitations and how time consuming a visit for just one pet is. this field is extremely specialized and if you dont like the price go to school and become a veterinarian. highly recommend this place to anyone

Amazing place. My kitten developed an infection from a poorly bandaged injury from another facility and they were able to get her in quickly and within a few hours she was home and feeling much better. Staff was so friendly, I dealt with Taryn and she was calling throughout the time away to keep me up to date on what was happening. I really appreciated that I was able to leave my kitten in their care and go home and take care of things while my kitten was being looked after. Thank you so much for an amazing experience.

I called and told Natalie that I had a fennec fox exposed to chocolate and could they treat him. She told me they could treat him but call pet poison control first $65 phone call. They advised me to get to the vet. I called on my way in Natalie again answered and I again said I was bringing in the fennec fox after speaking with poison control she said just log into their webpage when i get there. 40min drive only to be told upon arrival that they don’t treat foxes. When I said I told Natalie on the phone this the tech asked her and she denied it. I dislike liars so then I had to drive another 45 min to a different clinic

Danielle and the staff at Parkway were amazing with Zeke. From the time I called them through checking in and seeing the Dr. took no time and they were so accommodating. Thank you all!!

Price is high not really fast service nor friendly. Take this rating as is but they won't be seeing my dog again

I honestly don’t have one bad thing to say about this place. I wish no one had to go to the ERVet. Just when we thought nothing could be done to save our cat, these compassionate people helped us and did everything they could to make sure we were not stuck with an unfortunate decision. Every day I feel more confident with the condition of our fur pal! The staff was kind, patient and informative. They listened and went above and beyond. I will always be thankful

The team at Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic took such great care of our sweet Scarlett when she had collapsed in front of us after acting completely normal. Rushing your beloved pet to the Emergency Room is never a good feeling, but now that we have had experience doing just that with two of our dogs over the last couple of years, I can say that Parkway's team makes it just a bit easier to handle. Their attention to our dog's needs, their gentleness with her, and their communication with us was outstanding. We so appreciate this facility being here for those after hours and weekend emergencies, and we are especially grateful at their response and calming nature to our panic and worry in such dire circumstances. Thank you, Parkway! Our Scarlett is doing great!

I’d give this place a 0 if I could… our dog hit something really hard and was peeing blood. We got there at about 7am… the sign says they were opened till 8am… we called and they said we had to fill out info online to be seen and then the Dr gets off a 8, so they would have to refer us out anyways to a facility that’s about 45 minutes away…. What kind of emergency vet turns people away? I would not recommend anyone to take their dog here.

Our cat got sick on a Sunday and this was the vet we found near us. From the moment I first called till the end of the visit, every person I spoke to was kind, understanding and so helpful. Renay our technician could not have been more helpful and caring to our kitty. They keep you very informed over text while you wait. They really do care about your animal and do their best to take care of them. I wish I could use them as my permanent vet! I also didn’t feel like they over charged even with being the only vet open on a Sunday. Great service! Kind people.

Last night was my first experience ever having to take a pet to the emergency vet. The vet tech, Danielle, was excellent. She was extremely pleasant and kept me informed through the entire process. The doctor was also very kind and informative. They took wonderful care of our cat and got her fixed up and back to us as soon as they could. I hope to never have to visit the emergency vet again, but if I do, I won’t hesitate to go back to Parkway. These ladies are very caring and maintain their composure and compassion while performing what I am sure is a very stressful job. Many thanks for all you do!

The team at Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic are wonderful! They are knowledgeable, professional, and always caring towards our furbabies when we’ve had the need for after hours care. Had to take my dog here on Saturday as he had a stuffy nose and was having a hard time breathing. Everyone cared and loved my little guy and made him and I feel like we were the only ones being taking care of. Then today, I received a follow up checking on my little guy's progress. They are amazing! Thank you for caring for my little man!

Had to bring my dog in for an emergency. The wonderful young woman Renay that was the technician went above and beyond and handled the emergency in a professional but also in a very caring way. I couldn't possibly recommend Parkway any higher. And though I hope to never need their services again I will always remember to go there first.

I rushed my shepherd here as I thought she had something stuck on roof of her mouth. The vet and tech were both awesome and everything turned out fine. Very professional, kind, and caring. Highly recommend.

Brought my little Trixie here after she was attacked by another dog. They were very friendly, caring, and reasonably priced. I was in such shock and scared she was dying. Sarah brought her in and was so caring a gentle. Renay brought her back out and was compassionate and explained everything throughly. Thank you to the Dr and Vet Tech that took care of her and made her feel better.

Great experience with parkway! Danielle was so helpful and attentive when it came to helping my dog with an urinary infection.
