My Pet's Animal Hospital Lakeland, Florida

I went in last night for an urgent care appointment. This was the only vet that was able to take me in last night. I called at 7:30am when they opened and I was able to get in on cancellation. The day before I went to VHA in Winter Haven and received the worst care for my cat and waited 8 hours. This place was definitely a breath of fresh air. Dr. Dickson was amazing. She sat on the floor with my baby because he was comfortable there and she examined him. She explained what could be wrong in great detail and with terminology that the prior vet did not use. She treated us as educated individuals and treated my cat with such care. Unfortunately, after she reran blood tests and other X-rays, we found out my cat had fluid filled in his pancreas. Since he was getting older Dr. Dickson said that they could hold him over the weekend but she wasn’t sure if he would make it. We had to put him down that evening and I am heartbroken that I don’t have my baby, but I am happy that he was well loved and cared for before he passed. They are sending me complimentary paw print stamps and clippings of his fur to commemorate him. I would recommend you bring your fur baby here and I hope you don’t have the same circumstances as us. ❤️ **Update: Dr. Dickson took the time to call me and my partner to check in on us and see if there was anything she could do during this time. Once I am ready to have new fur babies I will be bringing them here!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We are new to the area and called as new patient to have one of our senior fur babies put to sleep as she was suffering. Katie was the most compassionate person ever. Initially she couldn’t fit us in on the day prior to holiday and then called ME back with an opening. The entire staff including Dr Price Dickson made a very difficult decision as comfortable as it could be. So glad to find this place.

The staff is friendly and very professional. Dr. Donna has a lovely personality and was very kind to me and our senior dog, Maxx. He had his first appointment with her recently after switching vets. She listened and asked a lot of relevant questions regarding his special needs. She didn’t make me feel like I was taking up too much of her time, which I greatly appreciated. I could tell that she really loves animals and cares about their well-being.

My Pet's Animal Hospital is an outstanding animal clinic. From the time you arrive until the time you leave the clinic, you can be assured you and your pet will receive the best possible care. During the COVID-19 crisis, it has been amazing to see the transformation of the clinic and staff who are following the veterinary health and CDC guidelines for both our pets', the pet owners' and the staffs' health and safety. My Pet's Animal Hospital goes way above and beyond to take care of your pet's needs. A+++++

I haven't seen an animal hospital this clean in years. The staff was very friendly and professional. I love the vet. She took so much time with us and sat on the floor with our dog because he was in pain. I totally trust my pet family with this doctor. They just love on our pets and 2 of our dogs do not trust people and they got along with the staff without any trust issues.

This vet is the worst in Lakeland. They cancel appointments the day of and then say there is no option to reschedule in the next month. They over charge and their puppy plan doesn’t actually cover everything a puppy will need. The vet is also rude when questions are asked about your pets health. The customer service is the worst I’ve experienced. I am so disappointed in myself that I kept giving them chances. We will be switching vets as it’s been way too many bad experiences.

We have been clients of My Pets for 12 years and have been VERY satisfied with their service. We have used vet services, grooming, and boarding and all experiences were excellent!

The staff is absolutely amazing! They actually take the time and care about your pet. They did an amazing job with my hedgehogs nails and we're able to do my Chihuahuas nails without sedation. I have recommended them to everybody that I know and I've never had a bad experience

Be careful not to have a pet with an emergency. You can call for 4 days in a row trying to get a lethargic animal in for help just to get told "sorry" and to call the next day. Will my animal die before getting the help.he needs? With them being the ONLY vet to see ferrets in my local area im very disappointed with the way they have handled this situation. Not only to act carelessly with my situation but then to tell me of other vets FAR out of reach for me , with not having a vehicle. Used to think very highly of this place but its just a disappointment as far as im concerned.

My 14yo Australian Shepherd began experiencing lameness/muscular degeneration in hind legs so I reached out for Holistic therapies to stimulate movement and strength. After only the first 2 acupuncture sessions I saw significant improvement in his mobility and desire to move around again. We are continuing maintenance treatments less often and I’m very happy with the results

We have actually been using My Pet's Animal Hospital before it was renamed. The Dr's take great care of our Pets/Babies. We can get in just about every time we call for a visit. Especially an emergency. They show care and concern for our Babies and spend quality time finding out what's going on with them and treat them accordingly, not just prescribing anything to get you on your way. We are long time patients and appreciate the staff there.

I love EVERYONE at My Pet's Animal Hospital. They truly care about your pets and take the time to explain everything regarding their care.

All of the above. Since I came back home i have been with these people. They have taken care of three dogs until they passed with love, sa if they were there own. I know have a very small dog for the first time and they were very helpful making me feel at ease having her. Thanks vets and techs. I am now on my 4th and last little one. They are still very pleasant and professional to work with. Thank you again to each for working with me and my animals.

I was able to drop my 3 cats off before work and pick them up when I got out. They were shaved by an amazing groomer. I will be bringing them here from now on for their haircuts. They looked so cute and were not stressed out when I picked them up. Thanks ????

I have been taking my pets to My Pets for years. They have always provided top notch care and professionalism. All of the employees are fantastic and you can tell they are passionate about animals and what they do for them.

Unfortunately in this "throw away society" it is pretty much impossible to find a competent reptile vet! Use text & include photos of your pet's problem. I was seen immediately even though there was a 3 week waiting list. Because of the 2+ week delay searching from Tampa to Orlando for an "Exotic" and unsuccessful home remedies; we could not save my Leopard Gecko. Fortunately I was able to obtain medicine to ease his last 10 days. The folks at My Pets are prompt & professional. You are doing yourself and your pet a disservice going elsewhere. We have 3 rescues with various levels of trauma, and Dr. Donna & her staff are committed to a fear free experience. They have worked around my Megara's trauma and fear responses to get the treatment she needs while minimizing stress. We drive 45 minutes each way because My Pet takes such excellent care of us. The Vet techs know us personally & treat us like friends. I trust Doctor Donna implicitly.
