If you are looking for a new vet look no further! I am a crazy dog mom and my baby woke up limping and dragging his back leg. After spending an hour calling around I called Canal Animal Hospital. From the minute I was helped on the phone I knew I made the right choice. I was able to get in the same day. Sheena and Rebecca are sweethearts (everyone there is) Dr. Butan is incredible! Knowledgeable, kind, and patient. I walked in the office in tears and left smiling. My baby (Bronx) felt so comfortable there. Thank you Dr. Butan and staff! Bronx and I are so happy we found you!

The people are great at Canal. They really care for the animals and always take the time needed to help the people bringing them in understand what’s really going on with their little buddies.

All of the above boxes checked because, for once, they all apply! I love the fact that this clinic is family owned/operated. Dr Butan is such a caring vet-tell me of another vet that actually calls personally to check up on your animal after surgery (the day after surgery and even on Sunday for an update on how your "baby" is doing)??!! You simply do not see that sort of personal commitment in this day and age. I cannot recommend this animal clinic highly enough. The are the BEST!

They are absolutely the finest care givers your pet could have. When our 14 year old dog was at the end of her life they were with us every step of the way. They called in medication after hours for her comfort and they even made a house call when she was too ill to go there. I will never forget that. Our new dog LOVES to go there(!) and we care about her too much to ever take her anywhere else. They are completely on top of her health and send us email reminders to keep her up to date on everything- Their principle concern is clearly our dog's health and not their bottom line. They are by far the least expensive vet we have ever had because they keep our animals healthy by monitoring them on a schedule rather than just treat them when they are sick. I wish I could find a doctor like this!

Due to a move, I needed a new veterinarian, and I was worried because I'd been seeing my previous vet for twenty years. I was extremely encouraged with the service I received at Canal Animal Hospital. Dr. Butan explanations are thorough and easy to understand. The staff is friendly and accomodating too!

Took my 2 cats here for a check up and shots and the staff and doc were great with them. One is particularly skittish and they handled her great. I can see why folks recommend them.

I’ve been taking my dog to canal since I moved to Florida 4 years ago, and will never go anywhere else. The entire staff is so friendly and accommodating. Last week my dog, blue, had a scary health episode, doc and his staff fit us in immediately, we’re so attentive and made me feel so at ease. Doc checked in on blue multiple times afterwards, and that kind of care is something you don’t find often. I’ll always recommend canal!

Everyone on staff is wonderful! Our dogs have always been comfortable going for checkups, because Dr. B and his staff are amazing :) Making an appt is easy, and they're always on time.

We just used Canal Animal Hospital for my two calico six months old kittens. We were so pleased at how friendly and well taken care of by everyone. Dr. Butan spoke to us both personally for care after their surgery. He answers all questions and calls to make sure they are fine once you take them home. A wonderful experience and will use again as needed. ????????

Dr Butan and the caring staff at Canal Animal hospital did a wonderful job taking care of a street kitty I brought in had a rough start in life. Rysiu was thrown from a car on I95 as a kitten 8 years ago and one of the neighbors saw it. It took him an hour to find him hiding and terrified in the bushes. He has grown up in our neighborhood scared and it took me a year of feeding him to gain his trust to pet him. I brought him in and they immediately loved him and gave him the stray kitty package including vaccines, rabies shot, snap test, revolution, dewormer, and a microchip. He is doing so good now it warms my heart the genuine care they gave and now he can look forward to a healthy happy loved remainder of his life. Canal Animal Hospital has been there for our fury children for over 15 years. Doctor Butan and staff has been there everytime our dogs have been ill, need there shots and sadly when it was time for them to leave us. They are part of our family and we love Canal Animal Hospital. Woof woof!!

I took my 17 year old cat in because I thought he had an infection in his mouth. I was terrified to get his teeth cleaned because of his age, but his quality of life was suffering, his mouth was stinky, and he was in pain. Everyone at Canal Animal Hospital was so caring and professional. Kiki Man had 13 teeth extracted and, thank goodness I took him in, he was found to have thyroid issues. After getting a referral to treat his thyroid condition, 4 weeks later my 17 year old cat that I thought was on his last life is a brand new kitty! And bonus, his mouth doesn't smell like rotting garbage anymore either, so he gets all the pets he wants(of course, on his terms only haha). Thank you Dr. Butan and everyone at Canal Animal Hospital, you gave us more quality years to roll in catnip and snuggle! :)

We have had our dog Leo treated wonderfully by Dr Butan and the crew at Canal. He had back/disk issues and recently had his teeth cleaned with extractions due to gum disease. His treatment has been truly impressive and spot on in terms of of his care and recovery. It's hard to leave a family pet at the Vet but Canal has a very compassionate approach that leaves us 100% confident that our dog is in the best hands possible. Pricing is very reasonable and they treat us like we have a choice and are appreciated.
