Chasewood Animal Hospital Jupiter, Florida

One of the worst places I have ever been to. The facility is so poorly kept. The meet and greet was one of the worst experiences, between the smell of the room, the kittens were not kept clean, their food, water and litter boxes were so full the smell took over the entire very small and I mean very, very small space they keep these poor babies in I had to leave. The staff was so rude, everything they say is completely not what happened when I arrived. I would not recommend getting your fur ever from this place! Buyer beware. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star.

I called the Chasewood Animal Hospital yesterday because a dog I’ve been watching for my parents was having a medical emergency. I explained to them over the phone that the dog is not a patient of theirs and is from out of town. They said that was no problem and that I should bring him in right away because they are available until 12:30. I get there within 10 minutes @ 12:05 with this dog visibly in a lot of pain and yelping each time he tries to move. Instead of seeing my dog they continue to check another completely healthy puppy in front of me in (which is fine I get he was there first) The doctor tells me just to sit tight for 10 minutes and that she would be right back and that this patient won’t take long. Well 35 minutes passes and I still don’t see the doctor. Meanwhile the 2 receptionist (1 male, 1 female) do absolutely nothing to prepare my dog to be seen by the vet. This dog is small and was in an extreme amount of pain so the female receptionist asked the male to put a muzzle on. Instead the male completely ignores her request and pretends not to hear her (sitting right next to her) she then asks him a second time and he just grunts at her. She asks him what that was supposed to mean and he says “sure” in a very rude and unprofessional way. Instead of putting the muzzle on and weighing my dog to get him prepared he continues to sit behind the desk staring at his phone and talking to the female receptionist about how many “steps he’s taking today on his step counter”. After waiting 35 min and nothing being done I ask the male how much longer it would take. Instead of asking the doctor and actually finding out he makes up a random number right in front of me and says “about 10min”. I told him they told me 10 min 35 min ago and he proceeds to tell me “yeah sorry you guys didn’t have an appointment”..after they told me on the phone to bring him in right away and they have openings before 12:30. At that point I got I left and took my dog to the Jupiter Pet Emergency Center up the street and they saw my dog right away. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE especially if there is any sort of emergency. It’s completely irresponsible for them to lie and tell me to come in when they did not have the ability to see my dog. I only called them because they were closer to my house that Jupiter Pet Emergency Center. P.S. the male, I didn’t get his name, (tall, bald) was by far the rudest and laziest person I’ve ever met at a veterinarian. I had a Rottweiler for 8 years before this dog and have never encountered someone who cared so little about the well being of the animal patients that come in. The female receptionist was the only person that made us feel welcome and did anything to help get us checked in. I cannot comment on the doctor since I only interacted with her briefly.

My first visit to this Veterinarian was an absolute pleasure. The staff accommodated my desire to have my cats seen the very same day I phoned in. Dr. Lowry and her assistant were kind and considerate and non-judgmental when I informed them that I had never brought my cats in to see a vet prior to today. I will return for regular care.

I am not a cat person at all .. but when my 15 year old daughter wanted a kitty we went to Chasewood. It has been an amazing experience and completely changed our lives for the better! They were so nice to work with and we love our little cat Eddie and so does our dog.

Dr. Maria and staff are great! So professional, always there for my questions and concerns and emergencies. They take the time to explain everything and truly care for us. Highly recommend!!

Dr. Maria and staff are great with handling your pet. They give you calls tonremind you of appointments or medical services that need to be updated. They are reasonable with charges but more important that they take good care of your pet. I just adopted a kitten from there. The kitten had all his shots, had been chipped and neutered. I love this animal hospital. Everyone that works there are very friendly and professional.

I really give Dr. Maria Lowry and her staff 10 stars!! She is the most caring, wonderful Vet we have ever encountered! She is extremely knowledgable and treats with a holistic attitude, from acupuncture to lasers, she is the best!! She treats our pets as her own, like they are part of her family! Her office staff is always friendly and helpful!!! Highly, highly recommend!

Love! Love! Love! Dr. Maria, Been going to her for almost 10 years and she has always been so patient, caring and professional with my animals. She has the biggest heart! I can’t thank her enough for always taking care of our animals. I have never had the same experience anywhere else. So if your looking for a vet look no further. She is the one who will care for your pets like you do. Also Thank you to her Amazing staff for being so friendly and professional. I drive 30 minutes to come here. I came here for the first time today as Dr. Maria Lowry came highly recommended by good friend of mine. My cat got very sick and they agreed to see me right away as a walk in. Though it was a Saturday and they have shorter hours. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive and friendly. They immediately placed a blanket that was sprayed with a calming spray and put it over my cats carrier, which did wonders. Dr. Maria was AMAZING. She is extremely informative and educational. I learned more from her than I ever have from any prior vet. She was extremely gentle with my cat and for the first time, my cat didn't attack a vet. She is clearly very passionate about what she does and cares for animals. You don't feel like you are rushed or that you are just being treated quickly. She was patient and gives you as much time as is needed. I can understand why she came so highly recommended and I would recommend anyone to her. She has just gained another loyal client. Thank you!!!

Welcoming vet, outgoing staff who really love animals. Dr Maria Lowrey spent time educating us on dietary needs for our cat who has had urinary tract issues in the past and even gave us a few samples of food he might like better. We feel like we've found the right vet.

I am very surprised at the direction this office is headed. After being a loyal customer for years I'm funding out that customer loyalty is rewarded by a blind sided insistence on adhering to the "rules" which means charging me additional money if I need my husband to pick up my dog an hour or two later (because I have to be at work). WOW, thanks for working with people Chasewood. Dr. Maria should get involved with office operations. I do not think she would appreciate this. 2 or 3 weeks ago my dog needed a cortisone shot. Same thing happened. There were no appointments until about an hour before I had to go to work. So I asked if I could drop off my dog and let my husband pick up the dog when he got off of work (about 2 hours later) since I could not stay. They said they would have to charge me extra for that. Well the dog never got the medical attention he needed because of that. Again today I tried to get my dog in for his annual. No appointments available until I am at work. The office confirmed again today that yes, they have to charge me extra if my husband picks up our dog 2 hours later when he gets off of work. It's more the principle of the matter than the fee. Seems like Chasewood is after the money and has lost what made them special, (the way they always put the animals first). Now it appears to be money first, animal welfare and customer loyalty second. I guess I will have to look for a vet that can be more understanding and accommodating. P.S. - I already explained how my schedule is very tight and I don't have much time available to get the dog to the vet because I work 2 full time jobs, and one of those jobs is a 7 day a week job.

Doc Marie is a great doctor she loves her animals and she'll do anything to save your dog

Always a pleasure coming to this practice. Healthcare and veterinary care are so expensive these days, but I have never felt like a number with Dr Maria. She takes so much time with each patient and I have never felt that she prescribed medicine or services that my pets do not need.

They've been taking care of my dog since she was a puppy. They offer boarding and are so good with my dog
