Wally and Edith ROCK! I HIGHLY recommend them!

Wally and Edith are caring, consistent, and patient with their human and canine clients. We trained our lab Mollie with them years ago. She earned her Canine Good Citizenship. She was gentle and trustworthy and reliably well-mannered throughout her life. She passed away when she was 15 years old. Her training made her final days easier on her because even though she was deaf, she recognized visual commands. The veterinarian and vet techs were able to show her what they wanted her to do rather than manhandle her. It was one thing that made a difficult time better. Now we are training a rescue with them. He has exhibited some territorial and dominance behavior at home. They are helping us work through this with behavioral training and dietary changes. I strongly recommend Scheurman’s k9 Academy.

I love Wally and Edith their both very dedicated to the craft and passion of educating dogs and their handlers in order to master basic obedience and so on. My Doberman pincher Emma is always complimented on her etiquette in high stress environments and non - aggression towards other dogs in public. Thanks to them I’m able to have full confidence in my dog no matter what thank you both for everything you’ve done for us ❤️

Wally is a good trainer. If you want a trainer that is gonna get you results for stubborn dogs he is it. The only draw back is you cant have thin skin. He will tell you the truth about being your dogs alpha (which actually matters believe it or not). He is funny and had my dog listening to me for the first time since i bought him.

Highly recommend attending this program, Wally knows what he is doing and it is entirely up to you if you want to listen to the teaching and train your dog and it's not no stroll in the park with training a dog either. I just finished the basic obedience 6 week course and I will be doing the intermediate.

Every dollar was well spent. The couple who helped train Gallagher knew what they were doing. Now it's up to me to keep it up.

I have been with Wally and Edith for 6 years now. I had a golden doodle that would not listen to a word I said. I took a leap of faith and signed up for a 6 week beginner course. From week one I could tell they knew what they were doing. I was the one that needed training and yes, they let me know it. I was doing everything wrong and Bailey was taking complete advantage of it. It was tough to hear what they said but once I listened to them and did what I was supposed to, she followed me and is now a very well behaved dog. I take her everywhere a dog is allowed, Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Ace Hardware. I can put my dogs in a down, stay and have people enter my home and not get jumped on. I also have a 4 year old goldendoodle named Bruin. Right from puppyhood he has been in classes with me and Bailey and can also go anywhere with me because of the knowledge I gained from their training. Both my doodles have 3 CGC’s and I have not only gained two well behaved dogs but I have gained lifelong friends as well with other members of their classes. Everywhere we go I have people ask me how I get them to behave so well..... and I proudly say Scheurman’s K9 Acedemy.

Very rude and vague when questions were asked. Made us feel like we were bothering them and they seemed uninterested

The costumer service was absolutely horrible. When asked questions about classes they would give vague and uninterested answers and make us feel like we were a botherto them.

We have been with Scheurman's K9 Academy for 18 years. We started with a German Shepherd who was dog-aggressive and we couldn't take him anywhere. Wally and Edith taught us how to work with him and were very safety-minded as we worked through his issues. They told us from the start that we had to work with him at home - not just weekly at class. We did everything they said, we put in the effort every day at home and every week at class and we were eventually rewarded with a well behaved dog who happily achieved his Canine Good Citizen title! We could then take him everywhere without fear when untrained dogs approached him, he was well-mannered and followed his training and was no longer aggressive. Since that time, we've taken 9 German Shepherds and 1 Hound - all rescues with different issues through his training classes. Without fail, Wally and Edith have helped us to resolve every issue we've presented them with. They do hold us accountable for working with our dogs at home and insist that we are consistent with our training, in return, we have earned Canine Good Citizen titles on every single one and more importantly, we can take our dogs anywhere. We currently have 5 and they go with us on camping trips and people are always amazed at how well-behaved and friendly they all are. We hand out Scheurman's K9 Academy cards and tell people if they're willing to put for the effort and follow the instructions provided by Wally and Edith, they too can have well-behaved and friendly dogs. If you want someone else to do the work for you and not put any effort in yourself, then you will never see the results you want. Don't make your decision based on my review - or any review, go and watch a class! Visit with the students! You will see if it is the right fit for you and it's free to watch the class and ask Wally, Edith and the students all the questions you have. The camaraderie between Wally, Edith and the students in class is phenomenal and all are willing to help! It's a family and we always welcome new members. I will forever be grateful to Wally and Edith for the potential they have helped me bring out in every one of our rescued dogs. Training with your dog strengthens your bond with them and brings so much joy by giving you the confidence to take them anywhere knowing their behavior will make you proud.

My wife and I found Scheurman's K9 Academy almost 3 years ago and feel very fortunate to have done so. We had gone a decade or so without a dog when we took on the responsibility of rescuing an abandoned 3-year old female terrier mix that was totally out of control. Thanks to the excellent skilled and caring training by Wally and his assistants, our rescue has done a complete turn around and now holds three AKC Good Citizen titles. We could have gone anywhere for training but are proud to say that we found the best trainer available. We all enjoy the dedication and camaraderie of the K9 Academy and hope to continue this relationship for many years to come.

$7000 Mistake with Wally and his dog training If you want a highly trained dog and have the means to pay for it, don’t waste …

Extremely helpful and willing to spend the extra time to ensure you are satisfied. My dog has progressed very well.

I called trying to find out information on how to train my puppy for protection and the guy seemed very uninterested in trying to answer my questions and made me feel like my questions and my puppy were unimportant to them. He gave me very vague answers and literally didn’t help me at all. Will definitely not be taking my puppy here.

Small class. Instruction had a very negative tone. No good options for intermediate classes other than joining a expensive program.

This was the worst experience we've ever had with our dog. My wife left in tears at the way they were treated. The husband and wife trainers had such rude comments and remarks from the moment we arrived and not just to us, but to the other …

I have been with Scheurman's K9 Academy for twenty years. I have trained all my 12 companions from the past to present and will for the future. They have helped me to be a better trainer, understanding canine behavior, got me ready to do any competition, getting my UKC and AKC titles on my companions. Scheurman's K9 Academy are there for the dogs. If it wasn't for Wally and Edith having the knowledge of training K9's, from obedience, protection, tracking to competition and guiding me with my first companion " Walker". I wouldn't be able to have all my other canines in my life. They are Excellent what they do. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dont try bringing your service dog for schutzhund training. Useless given my situation. Very disappointed ????
