I can’t say enough about Happy Hound Dog Resorts. I’ve been using them for years and they take wonderful care of my pups!

Been with them since they opened. Three different dogs. All pulling on the leash to get in -:happy hounds.

They were very good to my 11 yr old Retriever. I will definitely use them again.

All the above! All the people that work there are terrific. Thor wants to revisit too!

We boarded our little dog Molly at Happy Hound on Shirley Avenue for five nights. Molly has a little separation anxiety but they took good care of her. When we picked her up she was very happy and clean and Obviously well cared for. Margaret was outstanding! She communicated with me and sent pictures. We were able to enjoy our time because we knew that Molly was in good hands! Highly recommend this kennel if you have to board your pets.

Absolutely loved this place. They were priced well and so helpful, especially because we needed emergency accommodating at the last minute. They were communicative the entire time and I loved being able to check up on our Brody via their live cameras. This was our first time using them and we absolutely will be back.

I really liked the experience Doggo and I had at Happy Hounds Dog Resort - Shirley. My dog is less than 5 pounds and is a terrified little anxious baby. I was able to get her a next day appointment for a half day with no problems. The staff was very, very friendly and outgoing. They never sounded annoyed at all that I was asking so many questions. I really enjoyed the interaction with the staff and I plan on taking my dog there so she can get more socialized and used to being around other dogs. The daycare packages are also a great value compared to some of the other places that I’ve looked at for all day daycare.

We rescued our furbaby this past March. Cocoa is about 5 years old and very people oriented. My wife and I had to take a trip out of town and were not able to have Cocoa accompany us. This would be her first time away from us. We were worried how she would react to being left with strangers. Thanks to the online camera feed we were able to keep up with her while we were away. We have boarded our other dogs at HHDR previously and felt very comfortable leaving Cocoa in their care. We were not disappointed. She was taken very good care of while she was there. I would highly recommend HHDR to anyone that wants a reputable dog boarding/daycare facility. Jack, the owner, and his staff are all very good people. Your concerns are their concerns. Great staff and great facility. Thank you HHDR for taking care of our Cocoa this past weekend!

Took Boomer for his first day care and overnight. No problems and we will be back.

My dog isn’t aggressive at all. He gets lots of stranger attention In public & never acts how he acts when I drop him off to this doggy daycare now. He’s biting at the employees, barking and trying to leave the building … I don’t know what’s being done when he’s not in the camera due to “it’s best he’s separated” and when he goes for “lunch” but he does not like the employees there at all. He used to run in with excitement, but now he hates it. Dogs cannot talk obviously, so I’m going to go by these red flags and remove him . He will not be going back. Him or my sisters dog.

I have been taking my dog Buffy here for 7 years . I have reviewed them numerous times over the years and have had nothing but good things to say . The employees are caring of all the animals and are personable. I have used almost all the services provided . Jack and “Mags” are great . My dog is safe and socializing and I like watching her play through the cameras provided . I will bring my dog here forever. Highly recommend !

The staff are very attentive to each dog there. They care for them like they are their own. It was a great first time experience.

We felt like we left our dogs and good hands. We'll definitely use again. The live videos were great.

I had an emergency come up and needed dog boarding ASAP, Happy Hound Dog Resort did everything they could to help! This was years ago and I have ALWAYS felt welcomed like family with every interaction throughout the years! My dogs have been so happy and well cared for! Couldn't recommend enough!

I was very impressed with Happy Hounds! I loved being able to watch my puppy play and had peace of mind that she was okay. I will definitely be using them again!

The staff at Happy Hound Shirley Ave. are awesome!! You can tell they TRULY care. The place is HUGE and very clean. I feel comfortable boarding my three dachshunds there because of the amazing staff and the incredible space and the ability to check on them from a distance with the security cameras they have in place. The dogs have the hook up ;) We will most definitely be forever customers. Thank you all ❤️

I cannot say enough good things about Happy Hounds Dog Resorts. My dog Forest loves going to Daycare where he gets the exercise he needs as well as socialization as a teenage dog. Their boarding services are top notch enabling me to travel worry free.

My pup has very bad separation anxiety and a seizure disorder and I have a hard time leaving him with anyone other than my mom, so finding this place has been a godsend. My dog LOVES Miss Margaret. He runs straight to the counter every time we go in. In addition to feeling comfortable leaving him there, I also love the customer service. I called last week but didn't leave a voicemail thinking I would just try again later... almost immediately I rec'd a call back and was able to schedule services for my dog. That kind of thing never happens these days. Highly recommend this business!

This is officially the place for our pup. He went in for his free daycare trial before we board and he loved it! He was exhausted when he came home. Everyone there was so friendly and kept me at ease. Margaret is amazing!!!!

I barely could walk in without getting emotional. The staff treated me with kindness and perfectly handled my sweet little boy. This is such a nice place.

Always do my animals good! Took my girl to daycare for the first time and she had a blast. Came home a tired pup lol.

I took my standard poodle here while I went out of town I absolutely loved it the staff was very nice and they took good care of my baby my favorite part was that I could watch my puppy live love it.

I would refer Happy Hound Dog Resorts to everyone.I was sure my dog was going to be a problem, but they were in complete control, and they have an app so you can watch from home or anywhere to see how your dog is doing

OUTSTANDING!!! I was visiting my sister in Florida from NJ. Being that we had a lot planned I didn’t want my 7 1/2 month old German Shepherd, Hawk to have to be home alone for hours on end. I looked into several places that I was just not comfortable with but once I called Happy Hounds and spoke to Margaret I felt like this would be a great place for my boy to go during the day and I was not disappointed. Margaret is great, took us in on short notice after checking that all of his shots and bordetella were up to date. They allowed my dog time to settle in and be evaluated before putting him in with all the big dogs on the floor. Coming from an extensive animal care background (shelter manager, vet tech) I knew what to look for. Coming from NJ I knew what I wanted to see in terms of customer service and how I wanted Hawk and myself to be treated. We were only going to be dropping Hawk off for daycare for three days but each time we went in he was greeted by name. The facility was spotless, the dogs had someone supervising them at all times and cleaning accidents constantly. The staff was incredible. I love the fact that they have cameras so you can check on your pet throughout the day. When I noticed that my boy was experiencing some growing pains and limping a little bit I called them and asked them to move him somewhere to rest. I no sooner hung up the phone when I saw them on camera taking him out. If I come back to Florida I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
