I've been coming here for over 10 years, Dr. Acree and his staff are always amazing. He listens to the problems your having about your fur baby and gives you sound advice, he treats the animals with absolute consideration to helping and healing them and also helps put our minds at ease.

Kudos to the staff here, especially to Marissa. My cats have been sick for over a week now and I just had surgery and could not go up there to pick up their prescription Marissa went above and beyond and delivered the meds to my house. This vet is very compassionate and truly has a love for their furry clients and their parents. Thank you so much! We are beyond thankful for you

Phenomenal service by Dr. Acree and his crew. We brought our dog in for a persistent rash, and he diagnosed it in a few seconds. The meds were much less than we thought they would be, and the pricing is fantastic. The service was friendly and very knowledgeable, we will definitely be back!

I love Dr Avery and his staff. They are very helpful. Dr Avery is a very good Veterinarian and he shows our pets and us a lot of consideration and kindness. He has helped us with not only our own pets but also homeless cats that we do our best to take care of. We get them spade and neutered. He has helped us make hard decisions with our elderly cats when it was time for them to go over the rainbow bridge. They are wonderful people....????????????????❤

First time visiting this place was monday. Had to put our baby girl daisy down. I cried like a baby but Dr. Acree & his staff were compassionate & showed they care. They make you feel as comfortable as they can & I could feel they care. I would like to thank them all from the bottom of my heart. This will definitely be my veterinarian from here on out. Sincerely James Christmas.

I went here to have my 16 year old cat put to rest. He was dying of natural causes and did not want him to suffer. To my surprise the cost was $154. $49 exam, $5 needle disposal fee, $55 for euthanasia, $45 sedative. Very disappointing and very unempathetic. I have had several cats in my 53 years and never paid for , needle disposal, sedative, or exam when having cat put to rest. I would have been fine with $75-$100. Just very unempathetic and feel taking advantage of. My cat definitely did not need to be sedated first because he was already so lethargic. I should have asked first and researched other clinics. I also for the record was disposing of the body myself. Sad because they have been fair in the past. I wont bring another animal here to be put to rest in the future. Guess you need the money more then those during covid times.

Took my Abby in to have an botched eye surgery corrected. She's a 10 year old Calico and when her eye was removed the stitches were gapped allowing the eye to get infected. The stitches were moved and the wound opened up. Dr. Acre not only debrided the wound he put the best stitches in and the correct sized cone. He's thorough, explains everything and his crew is great. Wish this had been my first stop, but will be my last

Dr. Acree is bar-none the finest vet in Duval county, extremely professional staff and veterinarian. **Edit 2/2/21 Dr.Acree may be an excellent vet, but maybe it is time for him to retire, I called in to schedule a spay for our 1.5 year golden retriever about a week ago and was asked how old she was and was immediately told "oh, that is going to be expensive" and it would be approximately $650 (which is pretty steep). Dr. Acree is the only vet who had taken care of our dog, so as steep as that is we were willing to pay it. Then after waiting 5 minutes or so to schedule the procedure, I was told "our next opening isn't until the end of April or beginning of May", then I was told to wait again, at this point, I was told "oh well, Dr. Acree said because she in I quote is " too old" he doesn't want to do the surgery " What the actual Hell??? You are a veterinarian, that is your job, it may be your practice, but who are you to refuse service to a paying client (one who pays 100% upfront) who only comes to you. I then asked for a referral of another vet he would recommend to do the spay, it took a good while and the receptionist finally said "well, Dr.Acree said go to Herschel Animal Hospital, and go ask for Dr. Guill, Quill, Will; oh something like that", I asked what is his name? And was met with, oh, just drop the name and they'll know who you are talking about... This is why no one wants to do business on the Westside, unprofessional people, past their prime who pass the buck to their staff to refuse service and won't even do it themselves. We will not be returning to Cedar Hills Animal Clinic, I guess now we have to hunt for another vet to do business with, it is time for Doc Acree to hang up the lab coat and go fishing instead off blowing of patients.
