I've always had a good experience with Banfield overall. My only reason for giving a 4 star rating vs 5 is I know my little one has some major anxiety issues and she can be a bit of a pill at the vets so I wish there was still the ability to go in the room during the visit to calm her more, which is currently unavailable due to COVID

I love my services at Banfield, this is a professional staff that take care of Bella for all her preventive care. Always willing to fit her in when there is a problem or question.

It was my pup's first time visiting and he had an amazing time! He rested sooo will last night!! I will most definitely be bring him back every other week

Hold times are super long when calling. The app is super slow. They refused to clip our cats nails because they were afraid, Forever Vets Baymeadows had no problems clipping his nails. Needless to say they lost our business.

The vets are good, they take the time to answer my questions and explain things so I can understand. The front desk staff is another story. They will place you on hold for any amount of time with no explanation or apology. Then their voice and demeanor is rushed and rude. I will be driving further to a different Banfield in the hopes that another office can treat their customers with respect. This place seems to think they are doing me a favor. I'm tired of being treated like I'm an inconvenience for them.

My Pekingese haircut is always 5 Stars. The customer service in the salon is by stars. But the lack of communication between the veterinary office, the groomer, and the front cashiers is horrible frustrating and just makes them look stupid and unknowledgeable.

The vets here are amazing, but the front staff is alwaaaaaaaaays understaffed and generally unorganized. Plan to wait here for at least 30 minutes for anything.. from picking up a prescription and the one receptionist taking a 20 minute phone call with no backup, to checking in your pet with only one person in front of you. It is one of the busiest Banfields I have ever used, yet they only ever have 1, maybe 2 front desk people working even at peak hour. The Banfield off San Pablo is half the size and doubly staffed.. just doesn't make sense. The front desk staff don't work effectively and often have a nonprofessional demeanor the more they have to do. I wish there was another location nearby my house.

Friendly staff, techs and Dr's! Great communication on how the fur babies did and what they needed. Extremely impressed with how they handled the fur babies anxiety of "drop-off only" protocols due to COVID-19.

I have a plan at banfield. It's Awesome. The vet is amazing and they take amazing care of my ???? Furbaby. You cannot go wrong with Banfield. Trust me my dog who is a rescue is my life.

These were easily the kindest, most considerate people I've ever met at a vet. I was really nervous leaving my kitten there simply because of the experiences I've had elswhere. But he was very sick and my work wouldn't let me have the time off to stay with him. They took such good care of him and were very open and honest with everything they did to figure out why he was sick. They asked permission and explained the purpose and cost of each procedure and test before doing it. I think I've found my forever-vet in Dr McFarland. I'm going to bring all my fur babies to her!

Appointments are drop off only and I stressed my concern that my pet's anxiety would be triggered (she had a seizure last time I had to drop her off). They gave us the latest appointment so that she would be seen right before closing instead of sitting for hours. This did not happen. We went to retrieve her at closing and she had yet to be seen. 3 HOURS HAD PASSED!! Not to mention I was to receive an email with feedback from the vet, that did not happen.

Banfield has been in my pets' lives for many years....each location has been top notch, caring professionals, with loads of heart. They have cared for our furbabies making sure they kept them healthy. Even during the time my Munchkin was going through her sickness, they were kind and empathize with us during the process and our loss. Now a new chapter has begun with Coco, a vibrant high energy member of our family. This terrier is ready to make lots of memories for sure, healthy and with the best care around. Thank you, Banfield Southside for welcoming Coco into the fold. ????

I go between my home in Florida and my physical work in Maryland and unless its an emergency i will always forgo the Banfield up here. Southside Banfield has been looking after my baby since we got him from the breeder. The staff is always accommodating and patient. From Beth and the other checkin staff to Dr. Benson, Dr. McFarland and all the other doctors you CANNOT go wrong on bringing your furbabies!!! Wish ALL Banfield locations were this friendly.

Close to home, although I was told my appointment was a drop-off. I understand not going into the exam room because of covid19 precautions, but there should be a disclaimer when you schedule online that you may have to drop your pet off for routine visits.

I absolutely LOVE this Banfield. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I love that these vets take the time to build a relationship with their clients. They listen to your concerns and address them. We travel 40 minutes from home to go to this vet because the other offices local to me aren’t as personable.

We definitely enjoy having Banfield as our vet and their insurance plan. I do not recommend drop off service though. They are in the cage for hours before they call. But overall most of the vets, techs, and reception have been great.

Staff is friendly, nice, and caring. It was my first time here so I don’t know too much about this vet place. I don’t like the drop off and picking up your pet later mandate but I understand it is because of Covid so it didn’t bother me. What bothered me was that I brought in a whole folder of my cat’s records since it was my first time there, I was going to pull out the records to show the front desk person but the folder was sent to the back for the nurses to “look through”. I guess they either missed the last page of my cat’s records or they only looked at the first page. I guess it was my mistake of putting my cat’s latest vaccine record behind her records from when I first got her. She had her latest FVRCP 1 year vaccine on 8/31/20 at another hospital, but they only saw the first page of records from the shelter (shelter records showed the 2 FVRCP booster shots they gave) so they gave her and charged me for another FVRCP 1 year vaccine today 9/30/20. I told them my concern at the front desk before they took my cat for drop off and one of the nurses said she only had the 2 booster shots from the front page. After I got home, looked at all my paperwork, and counted the shots, I also called them to let them know while my cat was still there. They are nice but seem a bit pricey. I guess they just overlooked the records but I don’t think I’ll be back at this location.
