Terrible service! Waiting 1 hour in the lobby to pick up my pet from a weekend boarding is not acceptable. This is not the first time this happens.

I can't say enough about Dr. Herrington and the staff at Hollywood Animal Hospital for taking such good care of my senior dog, Luna. When she became instantly lethargic, I feared that we were nearing the end, as she was approaching her 14 year birthday. I appreciate that Dr. Herrington was so calming and only reccommended minimal bloodwork to find out what was wrong. His diagnosis of a pinched nerve was spot on. He sent me home with just the right meds and within a couple of hours, I had the results from the blood work. Needless to say, within 24 hours my Luna was back to being herself. I truly want to thank everyone for all their help!

Great service and friendly staff at VCA. We had an emergency yesterday with our puppy and we went to VCA since is near our house. They took us in right away, doctor inform us of what could been wrong with our puppy and gave her some fluids and meds. She feels so much better today. Thank you so much for all your help.

Will never go back. My poor dog suffered unnecessarily. Stay away from Dr. Fishkin. She is unprofessional, doesn't know how to talk to owners, mis-diagnosed my dog and caused her a lot of suffering and caused me a lot of money as well as emotional suffering. If I could, I would sue for my money back. My dog wasn't doing so well after a feeding tube insert. Had I did nothing, I would have lost her, had I took her back to Dr Fishkin, I feel I would have lost her. Took my dog to Advanced Veterinary Care Center in Davie, it's a little further of a drive - especially during an emergency - but well worth it.

This is the best animal hospital in Florida hands down. They have been there over 60 years. We brought our pets to them in the 60's, I cleaned cages there in the 70's and have continued to bring our pets there since then. Caring, kind, but a bit expensive. Well worth it though

Just wanted to thank the incredible folks at VCA Hollywood. Everyone was friendly and I truly appreciate the honest discussion about our Buddy. From walking in the door, treatment options, and billing to the special follow-up later, the experience was top notch. Spending the time to talk about options was outstanding. Thanks for getting us through some tough stuff.

We had a really great experience here. Our mini schnauzer ate an entire bar of dark chocolate on a Sunday and we could not find any vet hospital who would even consider seeing him due to them all being full. We called VCA and they told us to walk in and they saw our dog within five minutes. Everyone was friendly and attentive and Walter ended up being just fine after being monitored there for 12 hours. If we lived closer this would be our regular vet.

This Very Expensive facility is close, convenient and they are open at all hours for emergencies; however, after my most recent experience there, I will NOT be going back. My 10 yr old dog wasn't feeling well on Friday, so I called my other vet to get an appt and nothing was available. Then I called VCA and was told that I could come in as a "walk in" on Saturday, that I should get there early.. "7:30am" so I could be seen quicker. Well, I arrived at 9am and was then told that the " walk in" vet didn't arrive until 10am, so I asked to be signed in and wait.. Well, I waited..and waited..FIVE HOURS. My old dog and I sat in that room for 5 hours and never saw a vet. While I was waiting I texted a friend who was able to recommend another location and I was able to make an Urgent Care appt for Sunday. So I got up and left.. told the staff that I was there 5 hours with no one to assist. I get it.."emergencies" take priority over "walk ins", but why tf wasn't the wait time better explained?? Ever since this place was bought up by VCA the service had greatly suffered and the prices have skyrocketed. I sincerely hate what this facility has become. I won't be back.

Do not bother coming to this place. Poor customer service. On phone said come in and you come in and they are too busy to take pets. Lobby had 2 people and rude desk clerks.

Yesterday I came home and to rush my Ben the cat to them. The front office staff was amazing. The service was phenomenal. They really do try to help. I was devastated with the cost for his service but Dr. Lucore was just outstanding. She helped me in so many ways. VCA Hollywood because of you I am now a fan. I have two cats and both of them will be returning to see your establishment. Thank you for helping a teacher and a single mom. You guys rock. Now if you could only tell me how to ensure Ben doesn't attack me while I give him his medicine.... Lol. Thank you so much VCA. Check them out and ask for Dr. Lucore and tell them Andrea sent you.

Great experience. All the staff were very caring and attentive to me and my dog. Dr. Herrington called me providing his findings and recommendation prior to proceeding with surgery. Thank you all.

THEY CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT WHEN I GOT THERE AND THEY WONT REFUND ME MY MONEY THEY STOLE FOR NO REASON JUST TO CANCEL JUST TO NOT HELP MY CAT. These people are lying thiefs. They don’t care about our pets or our sadness all they want is our money. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL NOT HELP YOUR PETS THEY JUST WANT MONEY FROM YOU. DO NOT EVER GO TO DR CLARK SHE ONLY CARES ABOUT THE MONEY SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANIMALS DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR PETS THEY WILL DIE ON THE TABLE OR HAVE WORST CASE SCENARIO OPTIONS SHE JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY

I called for assistance because this place was my last resort. My dog wasn’t providing enough milk for her pups and I needed a supplement until the stores opened back up since it’s a holiday. I called and spoke with Pat (an older woman) who told me the food supply cabinet is locked up and they can’t help me with my issue. I’ve never been to this particular location because I go to another VCA hospital for my pets care. But this was the closest VCA 24 hour facility open for emergency needs and I couldn’t receive emergency care for my pups. She didn’t sounds as if she cared at all that my pups would have to go all day without eating. My fault for not being prepared but sorry job on VCA end for providing emergency care.

Dr. LeCount and Dr. Boone are absolutely incredible! I cannot stress this enough. I am so thankful to both of these ladies for keeping me informed about my pet and providing exceptional love and care. Because of them, my baby (fur baby) is alive and well today. I truly cannot thank both of them enough. Also, a huge thank you to all the staff, especially Claudia, for being courteous and considerate of our situation. Everyone here was amazing. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Stay away from this hospital. Their doctors are making too many mistakes. I had a kitten that had constant problem, i kept coming there every day with concerns, all i got is everything as it should be, keep doing what you are doing, another cat was misdiagnosed and age was incorrectly identified -- the difference was 8 years between my cat's age and the age they told me she is! The last straw is they messed up the records and are refusing to correct their mistake. My mistake was to keep coming there with emergencies. I will have to look for another hospital that has emergency services I already spoke with the hospital, yes, i got my "sorry" doesn't help with my loss

TLDR: Caveat emptor. Like most negative reviewers, I found this place to be overpriced and focused on milking as much money out of you when you are under duress as possible. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. My cat's prospects are not great even at a different provider, but the prospect of me ever coming back to this place are smaller than that. Negative: Most of the team was (deliberately?) unhelpful. I chose this place randomly off of Google because I was desperate--first mistake. I paid the emergency after hours fee (I think it was ~7:30, so right on time to pay them $100+ extra!) to be seen. I signed off on a really high bill for my cat's x-rays, etc, and they provided the service and treatment plan ($1000+) without issue. It was way higher than I expected, but I paid. When I went to ask for a second opinion after getting their follow-up treatment suggestions ($1500+), the person on the phone got an attitude. When we suggested workarounds to make their follow-up plan work for us, they LITERALLY said they wouldn't provide a consultation in the short term unless we paid $1500+ for them to keep her overnight. Cash grab + pressure tactics. When I asked for x-ray results so I could go for a second opinion and get out of this money-grubbing nightmare clinic, the tech must have PRETENDED to send them, and "checked my email with me" for something she knew she didn't send. The next day, when after 4+ follow-up calls, they finally sent it, the person on the phone said "why didn't she send it... it's right here?" I have the same question. It was too late to use the x-rays-- when I got my second opinion, I paid once again for documents VCA refused to send. Thanks guys! Positive: Some of the staff members here were kind and helpful. Dr. Herwick answered my questions, Kerry (?) at reception welcomed us in, and the vet tech asked lots of questions to understand my issue. Eventually someone at the front desk acted like a decent human and sent me the x-ray images I needed for my pet and that I have a right to as a consumer who paid $500+ for x-rays and treatments. I'm only giving 2 stars because the treatment itself was fine and I think that the problem is their malicious business practices and like... moral character... rather than the physical facility, veterinary knowledge, etc.

This place is one of the worse business's i have ever had the displeasure to deal with. One: they are all about the money, and treat people with unbelievable disrespect. Two: they show complete disregard for the animal. Three: The gentleman that works the front desk is the worst.l I can't even believe he's working at a professional establishment. Stay away from this place there are many other great vets in the Broward area.

I have to be honest I read all the The bad reviews and wasn’t thrilled but this was the only hospital with vet available at 7am in the morning, I’m glad I brought her in my dog was suffering from a skin infection and she was in terrible shape. The staff was amazing, Dr. Lazerson was great. The medication they gave her is working super fast. I added some before and after pics.

I've brought my kitty in previously after making appointments and had decent experiences. However my cat was literally just attacked by another cat and has deep wounds. I called the emergency line and they told me there were 6 other people waiting ahead of me because there's only 1 doctor... What emergency vet only has 1 doctor?! Ridiculous! My cat needs EMERGENCY attention and they just dismissed me like he needed a check up. Will never come back here again - unacceptable. Time to go to a different vet..

If you are on a budget, please do not go to this emergency animal hospital. My cat had an emergency and they quoted me $3,000 to $5,000. They informed me that if I don't get treatment for him, I should euthanize him. I was able to take him to another vet, which cost 1/5th of their quote. I usually avoid writing reviews like this, however I just hate to think about the animals that were euthanized because of the cost from this hospital.

We have been going to VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital for 21 years now with 4 dogs and have always received quality vet services from a very professional group of people. Yesterday was no different. The staff that greets you are attentive and very nice. Dr. Herrington is excellent and truly cares about our pup. I would recommend VCA to anyone looking for quality vet care!

If it's and emergency don't even bother. They made me wait 1.5 hours to tell me it could take 3.0 hours because they only have one vet on a weekday at 10:00 AM So better off going somewhere else. This also happened to me a couple months ago with my other dog at the same location the only reason I didn't complain it was because it happen on a Saturday at 23:00 "VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital" Please remove your false advertising of 24 hours Emergency cause clearly is just something that you guys can't provide.

Prompt attention. Staff is very nice. Clean environment. My kitty was diagnosed and with the antibiotics was cleared off his UTI within a couple of days! Very effective treatment.

I do not like abusive clinics that charge for nothing. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Heim , who asked to return to vaccinate my cat because it was too small. Yesterday, when I came back this clinic overcharged my credit card with "consultation fees "when the doctor never showed up to check my pet, for $63.50 plus a ONE year rabies vaccine for $28, when the customary price $10 for an annually shot. Moreover, the clinic refused to give a rabies certificate. There is something called ethics and decency that this clinic lacks. Ripping off customers is not a good idea to keep a business running.

Received a call around 4:00 PM they my dog was ready to be picked up. Arrived at at 5:10 PM. After 30 minutes of waiting I asked if she was ready and was told they will check. 30 more minutes I follow up and they asked who I was waiting for. Took another 15 minutes to get my dog. This isn't the first time. Looking for a new vet office.

I've been very impressed with the service I have received. My dear pup was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13. I have seen three doctors working her case at this clinic and have been impressed with all of them. They have showed care and have provided appropriate recommendations. Additionally, when needed they have responded quickly as items have come up. I am thankful for the care they have shown my girl and have recommended them to other pet parents.
