Like most vets, they are quickly becoming unaffordable. Their overhead is insane. But the people are nice, easy to make appointments, and they love what they do.

From the first call to their office I was confident that they fully understood our requirements and that they could help us. They most definitely delivered on that expectation. I highly recommend them.

Was able to get an appointment on short notice, and all of the staff were very friendly when I arrived. I was also very pleased with Dr. Jolliffe who answered all of my (many!) questions. Very happy I found this veterinary hospital to take my dogs to!

We were using a different vet in town when our Piper had an emergency and our regular vet was unable to make room. Shores has her in within 20 minutes and the care and follow-up she recipe was wonderful. Our baby was treated with such love and care, er have been so happy and switched over. Knowledgeable, kind, attentive to out baby who wound up needing emergency ssurgery. Highly, highly recommend!!

Detail oriented and addressed each issue brought up. While discussing plan of care they advised time frames for which the treatment or lab is needed instead of pressuring excessive tests.

Worst vet in town in my experience. Didn't call me back bout my elderly kitty's test results. Had to ask for the test results 2 weeks later and the vet apparently had no idea what I was talking about. Had to get another provider to review results and history; only to discover that she was suffering. Made the selfless choice to end her suffering. My baby suffered for 3 weeks longer than necessary because of their lack of responsibility and care. the new provider informed me that they should of known she was in pain based on her color and simple physical exam even w/out the test results.Took my jumbo kitty there same day I took my elderly cat because he had been throwing up alot. Told them when I transferred his records, when I made his appt and on arrival, that he would need to be sedated. Of course they didn't listen. So they could not examine him and refused to do so by end of appt cause "we close at 3:30". Actually they close at 4pm (On Sat.) He ended up in UF Animal Hospital days later with bleeding ulcers, costing us over $2k. These people DO NOT care about your animals! Do yourself and your fur-babies a favor & pick a different provider.

I wanted to find an animal hospital closer to my home. (When a pet is sick or hurt, EVERY second counts.) When we moved across town, I switched all of my fur babies’ records to another local animal hospital. Shortly thereafter it was bought out by another company and I just wasn’t a big fan. After trying a few others, eventually I decided to give Shores Animal Hospital a try since we adopted a new kitten, and I’m glad I did. The staff is great! They are extremely attentive, and they truly care about our pets. I think we will be switching everyone over. I highly recommend them!

Sherrie has turned this place around!. (Quite an accomplishment, as you would usually wait for an hour before the doctor got to you, and checkout was a 20-30 minute nightmare. The transition after Dr. Shores died, and the subsequent buyout was *not* a smooth one.) Is feeling like a well-run machine of late! Luke is a sweetheart who is great with people and pets alike, and a great first impression both on the phone and in person. (Used to deal with someone who acted like you were *interrupting* her work, not *the reason* for her paycheck. Luke sounds genuinely glad to hear from you *every* time.) Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martin are sweet, kind, and love our pups. I love shores, and have been coming here since ‘04. Wish they would make housecalls for euthanasia, but they have a special cozy room to be with your baby for their last moments, and you can leave out the back, so better than most.

My sweet baby had problems from the day she came home but Shores was always there - every time she got sick they were responsive and caring. Dr. Meier diagnosed her with her knee issue the first time she saw her and she recognized her seizure a few days before she passed. Dr. Ortiz also always loved on her. We have used Prestige since April 2021 and love the care they provide Liam. More over, Liam loves the facility and staff and visa-versa. Expense was a concern but knowing the care he gets, Prestige is the only place for Liam.

Luke was amazing. Very professional on the phone and helpful. I was sick and needed to get back home to rest. He spoke with the doctors and got my furbabies seen quickly and called the next day to even check on them after their shots, etc. Great access to the company. I appreciate all of his help he made my day so much easier and with no stress. I was able to get back home to Ocala at a reasonable time and go back to bed. Thank you all for your help.

This company has been charging my card on more than one occasion after I moved out of state. These charges were taken out of my account without my permission. This is an incredibly frustrating experience to have to navigate, especially considering the care I received was mediocre at best. Would be cautious using a card for payment as they will charge at their leisure, apparently.

We have been using Shores for a few years now. This past Saturday we took our dogs in for a wellness exam and had the best experience!! The tech, front office staff and Dr. Ortiz were wonderful!!

Answers to questions promptly and adjusts to my dog's behavior problems

I've been to Shores twice now, once for a checkup and vaccination and once just to pick up flea medicine. Both experiences were great. Friendly and informative staff, very responsive, and were even able to get me in last minute.

They've taken amazing care of my cat Luna here. She was sick and even though they had no available next day appointments they let me drop her off in the morning and Dr. Meier looked at my cat on her lunch break, going above and beyond. The price for her visit, including the exam, in office injections, and medications to take home, was a very reasonable price at less than $160. As a college student who loves her cat I can't thank them enough for providing such excellent care for her at a cost I can afford.
