I got a cat here about 6 months ago. They were helpful and friendly and have the best cat in the world. He is more like a dog in a cats body.

We were just turned away and told after driving an hour to adopt a pet that they are not open for adoptions even though when we pulled up the staff was outside talking to someone in a car. And their website does not state this. Then I called and got a young girl named Bailey whom has no customer service skills at all she was rude, snooty and made annoying and sighing sounds when asked questions. Like I was annoying her. Our 15 year old Akita had to be put down a few months ago and we were trying to add a family member and if this is how you treat people we won't be back.

Had 9 puppies to get their first set of shots, better than any vets office hands down. Lauren was beautiful and awesome. Doctor came out to see me and told me everything looks great. They said they would of been quicker but everyone want photos of my puppies!

I want to preface that the organization itself is wonderful and they provide amazing care for their animals; my boyfriend and I had overall a great foster experience (for over 6 months) before we decided to adopt her! However, we were left with a bad impression because the associate director approached us after 6 months of taking care of her, threatening legal actions if we did not bring her back within 6 hours. This took us both by surprise because we had no issue within the 6 months of fostering her and were not contacted before hand with any possible issues. Even that same morning, I had a friendly text conversation with an intern at the humane society asking for pictures and more information to which I had responded to. When asked why, the associate director claimed that we were "extremely hard" to get a hold of and were to blame for her being unable to be adopted. This was an extremely offensive and wrong accusation towards two people who had taking good care of our dog and genuinely cared for her. Even double checking my emails and phone call log, there was no mention of any adoption meet and greet that we had missed. Any general missed phone call in the past- which if any, happened because we are both college students taking classes- was either followed up by a message from them that usually pertained to her monthly heartworm pill or a call back from us which was met with their voicemail. Reading the other reviews, it is obvious that they have always had an issue with communication and picking up phone calls. Earlier that year I had even directed potential adopters from their Facebook page to the humane society to set up meet and greets but had not heard from the human society to set up anything with us afterwards. The one meet and greet they had asked us to attend in late December was during Christmas break, where we were understandably with our families and not in town- which the associate director claimed was just an "excuse" of ours later. We even worked with them to reschedule this meet and greet to after break, in January, but were called later to tell us that it had been canceled. That same day the associate director threatened "legal actions" on no grounds, I called the humane society and spoke directly to the foster coordinator who assured me that neither my boyfriend or I had caused any problem or did anything wrong. The only issue was that she was now the dog who had been there the longest, so they had wanted to market her better to others, which we had even aided in by sending in pictures, posting on Facebook, and sending in a new bio for her. So overall, this whole thing was just a misunderstanding and possibly miscommunication; but instead of approaching us professionally as an associate director should, he or she made a groupchat on his or her phone with my boyfriend and I and threatened legal action against us with no factual basis and no preface, at all. Any miscommunication was just as much their fault, yet we were treated so disrespectfully for their mistakes. We absolutely love our dog, but feel extremely disrespected by that situation especially because we really care for her.

I took my cat (witty kitty) to their clinic this afternoon for boosters. We waited out side 2 and a half hours in the sweltering heat. AC in the car could only keep it so so. She passed while we waited for them to take her in. Then the lady there with the blue jumpsuit couldn't cancel our appt. We left to go home and got a call at 3:10 wanting to know where we were. Lady on the phone said she was sorry. We don't blame any one, just sad. May be there are better places to take your pets. Thanks for reading.

Unbelievably resourceful staff. Kind, generous with healing actions, and bravely willing to assist with your pet's needs. Great with humorous animal stories! Love this staff. Di Murphey

I haven't even adopted yet, but the staff has been so helpful and kind in helping to get me set up to adopt a kitten. I was a little bummed last weekend when I visited and they had already adopted out all of their kittens earlier that morning. However, the staff taught me about the process so that I could have the best chances for next time. Bonus gold stars to Lee for letting me talk her ear off this morning with a barrage of questions. I feel so confident about transitioning a new furry member into our family. I'll post an update when we welcome the new cuddle bug into our home.

Paying to get two of my dogs spayed/neutered and all shots. This is a wonderful place to get a new sweet pet and have them get the care and attention they need.

We've been in twice in the past 2 weeks and were treated rudely. Tried dropping off donations during the week and the girl at the front desk couldnt acknowledge us. Came back this weekend to see about adopting. There were multiple staff members standing around in the office talking like we werent even there. When they did realize someone was waiting to be helped they told me we couldnt see animals without an appointment. When I asked how to make an appointment the girl said call back during the week or go to the website. When I asked what the website was she sighed and scrambled to find a business card. I guess discussing weekend plans is more important than adopting out animals.

You can get a lot of volunteer hours from here for scholarships requirements. They helped me with counting the hours and get signature at the end of the school year. Everyone there is so helpful. The animals live in very nice conditions.

I've gone here before to have my two female kitties spayed, now getting two toms neutered. They have always been courteous, professional, and great with our animals.

I love this thrift store! The stuff is always really friendly and the prices are great. They usually do bundles of clothes for super cheap in the front. They have discounted pet medication and a great variety of books. It’s fun to dig around in here. Plus the proceeds go back into a great organization! I encourage people to donate and shop here.
