I've been going here about 3 years now. I'm very confident that my dogs are getting the best care available.

I brought a cick that had been attacked by a hawk. All other vets refused to see her, some even scoffed. This clinic was extremely caring and did not treat my baby chick like a throw away animal. She had her leg recasted many times over a month period, as she was growing a lot. The vet was very very affordable, and I believed may have even waived some of te bills due to the amount of times she needed to be seen to recast. I am very grateful.

Brought our beyond spoiled bunny here to be spayed despite our routine dog vet saying they could do it. The Gauvin Dr's were very attentive and very experienced to handle exotic animals. They are professional and spend the time to educate you so you are an informed owner which is needed a bit more with exotics. They've been operating in the Gainesville area for as long as I've been in the area circa 2000 and I will continue to drive 30+ minutes to have our bunny in the best hands! Their prices are also very reasonable compared to some of the other area vets and they won't suggest over the top service just to make extra $. A+++ Highly Recommended!

They worked very well with my ball python and gave good explanations as to what wrong. Even gave me a care sheet since this is my first one.

Sherry and Pat's demeanor make it obvious that they're in veterinary medicine because they genuinely care. They've done a wonderful job of helping bring my very elderly dog back into good health after a few years of not being able to afford to take her to a vet. Prices are reasonable and they're always up front about what costs will be. I very highly recommend them.

These people know what they are doing. I originally took my corn snake to the UF vet hospital for a respiratory infection, hoping that the high prices would mean I'd receive excellent care and knowledgeable staff. Instead, they sent me home to incorrectly treat my snake for the next month which could have severely harmed my snake and left him with an even worse infection. Thanks to Dr. Pat, my pet received the proper care and was back on track in just a few weeks. At very affordable prices (which as a college student, I appreciate) I would recommend stopping here before trying any other vet in Gainesville.

When we moved to this area, we had a challenging time finding a vet that specialized in Avian care. We were relieved, and grateful to finally find someone that cared about our two boys as much as we did. Dr. Sherry and Dr. Pat have taken excellent care of our Cockatoo Fritz, and African Gray Skully for the last 5 years.

My poor parrot was near death. Dr. Pat has brought him back to good health! Caring and taught me how to take better care of my elder bird. Wish I had gone to him years ago.

Dr. Sheri has taken care of Pete Peterson for four years, straight out of the shelter. We drive across town to see her, passing many other veterinarians. The clinic is calm, clean, and welcoming. She is very knowledgable on recent research in diet and nutrition. We will miss her when we move.

I take all my pets here-- cats, dogs, reptiles. They are so knowledgeable and so kind. This is the best vet I've been to. They are transparent and upfront. They care about you understanding and educating you so you can better love your animals.

The doctors are kind and thorough with the exam and explain what they are doing. We appreciate the care given to our birds

Dr. Pat was so sweet and knowledgeable with our rabbit and he even took the time to teach my 3 year old daughter how to take care of him. I have never taken a rabbit to the vet, so I am not sure how the pricing would compare elsewhere but I think it was reasonable.

First time there with my baby cockatiel Daisy. I love them!!! Pat and Sherry were so thorough and patient and gentle with her. They are very knowledgeable, and take the time to answer any questions that you have. I highly recommend this place!!!

Dr. Pat and Dr. Sherry are the kindest people you will meet. They are dedicated veterinarians, and they are always available to answer all my questions in person and over the phone. I first took my dwarf hamster here in January 2019 when I saw that she got sores on the bottom of her back paws. Dr. Pat was very gentle and kind to her when he conducted his check-up, and he prescribed her an antibiotic to clear up the sores. He demonstrated to me how to apply the medication and gave me clear, easy instructions. He also told me to come back in a few weeks if things weren't improving. Luckily, they did, and she was great. Most recently (May 2019), I took my hamster here when I noticed that she developed a cataract. Dr. Pat diagnosed her and gave her a great check-up. In order to prevent the onset of glaucoma, Dr. Pat prescribed her eye drops. He also did research on her condition and consulted an ophthalmologist to provide the best information and care for her. Dr. Pat is currently working on ordering special equipment that is small enough to check her eyes. Even though I came about the cataract, Dr. Pat also found that she had a slight wheeze and treated her for that, too. Again, he provided clear instructions, showed me how to give her the medicine, and was very gentle and sweet with her. Dr. Sherry is always very polite and responsive when scheduling appointments over the phone. She is also very caring and kind to the animals in the waiting room, and she does a great job scheduling follow-up appointments. The Gauvins go above and beyond to provide excellent care for animals. If you need quality and compassionate vet care in Gainesville, this is the place to go.

Good costumer services... staff very kind.

I was very pleased with Vet and front desk service. We were treated very kind, even though our husbandry for our newly acquired Uromastyx lizard was extremely poor. Internet and pet shop gave a lot of incorrect info. Dr Gauvin was still very respectful and took his time explaining everything needed to get us on the right track for Aziz’s care. And I’m so happy to say He is doing so much better already!! Thanks, Wendy Madison

Both doctors here are WONDERFUL. It is a family practice, with just Dr. Sherry and Dr. Patrick. Unlike other places I have been, the same two doctors are consistently available for appointments. Dr. Sherry helped get my boxer through a very bad bout of digestive issues, and Dr. Pat provides excellent care to my cockatiels. Their knowledge is so extensive, and they are so gentle and loving with my pets. It is so nice to see people who truly love what they do, and treat their patients as family. I trust them completely with my pets.
