South Trail Animal Hospital Fort Myers, Florida

I have been going to South Trail for the past 2 years and have always been happy with the car I've received from the vets. This weekend I had to put my dog down and the warmth and compassion from everyone at South Trail was amazing.

We lost our cat to old age had her cremated they did a good job and sent a sympathy card which was very nice place is very clean and staff is very nice

Dr. "G" is EXCELLENT as is ALL his staff. I HIGHLY recommend Southtrail Animal Hospital.

We really like the vets but the office staff is very unhelpful and never flexible. We are out of town and needed to use a dog daycare I asked office to email vet records and they would only fax. Unfortunately we could not find any place with a fax machine. I called again and they said they don't have email which I find hard to believe. I even asked if they could text and they also said no. We have had other situations come up and they are never helpful.

I’ve been taking my baby here for over 13 years. All of the vets treat you pet like they were their own. Dr Cooke is amazing. She’s patient, compassionate, and very honest with you in what your pet needs. I highly recommend to anyone with a fur baby.

They are great! They make you and your pet feel like part of the family.

This place is awesome. They took such good care of my kitty cat and were very helpful and friendly.

I've been taking my puppers here for years and have always loved Dr. Gillespie. He is kind, concerned about the animals and people; takes his time but doesn't waste yours; is honest about what your furry friends need and don't need; and a total pleasure all around. However, my kitties are not always in Florida and when they are, I hate to put them in the car for longer than necessary. After a few recent unpleasant experiences at other vets, kitty made the 30 minute trek. It was so worth it! She actually fell asleep in car on way home she was so relaxed...and my bill was $150 vs the $378 I'd paid at another vet. The staff is lovely and professional and clearly cares for everyone walking in the door. I will never go anywhere else when in Florida!

I’ve been going here and seeing Dr. DeMonarco for years now. My Belgian Shepherd is absolutely terrified of going to the vet and she and her staff will take all the time getting him comfortable and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. She remembers me personally every time. I’ve been turned away by San Carlos Park Animal Hospital saying I had to medicate the dog and muzzle him to be able to come back for an appointment. While this place just takes their time and allows him to get comfortable in the room with the doctor. So impressed!

This place is AMAZING!!! Dr. Calloway was absolutely perfect with my fur baby Ramsey and was patient with my one million questions. We have decided she is most definitely a keeper and South Trail Animal Hospital!!

doctors gave me all options and prices very kind wanted to do what I needed for my own personal needs my normal vet did not once again have somebody on duty as a doctor they referred me to this Clinic and they were able to help me I am now going to be taking my baby girl there as well no more disappointments in the place I was taking them I would rate this a 4 out of 4 Stars

Thy Loving Kindness appears in Psalms many times and that was the first thought that came to our heart when we saw Dr. Cooke and her brilliant team when we started taking our dog Willy to their clinic. Through the years they have treated him like one of the family. , shown him love and understanding and of course it was the perfect place for him to cross the Rainbow Bridge Thank you for leading with your heart, God Bless you and all members of your organization John & Rayanne Bowman

Yesterday I had to have my bunny Hip Hop euthanized because if a mass in his abdomen. The entire staff at South Trail animal hospital was so caring and compassionate through this difficult time. They let me have all the time I needed to say good by to Hip Hop. They had so much respect for me and my pet. Thank you so much, Mary Ann Bucceroni

My cat, Kiki, and I always look forward to visiting Dr. Thomas F. Gillaspie, D.V.M. at South Trail Animal Hospital. Dr. Gillaspie has the sweetest way of calming down my Kiki after a restless ride in the car. He is the best veterinarian in the business. His staff is very professional, kind, and caring with us, too. The office is clean and immaculate. I don't know what more you could ask for in a veterinarian and animal hospital. OVERPRICED. Don't take your dog here unless you want to pay a lot of money. $170 down to $150 each acupuncture visit. Animal General Hospital only charges $120 the first visit of acupuncture then $70 for each visit after. Still expensive but wish I would have known.

Doctor Ford is amazing, all of the staff are very pleasant and helpful!

Very nice Veteran Hospital

Friendly staff, great with out little dog and put is at ease. Didn't try to rip us of, gave us options for care.

When I got home from work today I discovered lump on our poor little black pugs Hueys neck. I called at 6 PM and they got me in for an appointment at 7:10 same day. Dr. Demonarco And her staff were great, thorough and extremely knowledgeable.

Very compassionate and able to help us out on short notice.

Changing my review after a complete cluster of a visit. We took our dog to have teeth removed as well as a wart and growth removed. They had the teeth to be cleaned and not extracted and quoted us a different price after she was under and just miscommunication complete, So we didn't get the wart or growth removed. They then said it would had been the original price. I agreed to no put this on here because they then said they would remove the wart and growth without charging us for anesthesia for the procedure, but now they are saying they will charge for it when we went to schedule the procedure. AND this was after a medication error on their part. They are sooo willing to take your money, but not willing to provide good care! TOTALLY unprofessional!

Not sure what happened to this place... I have been there many times over the years... Seems the place has become less customer originated and also seems extremely dirty. They put me and my dog in a waiting room with a floor that had dried muddy dog prints! It was one of the first morning apps! As others have stated.. staff seems uninterested... The prices are high and not sure how much care or concern the vet I took my dog to had... Definitely seems like the fast food of vet care! They were prepared to put my 14 year old dog under without even listening to her heart, doing a routine examination, or even asking the smallest of questions about her overall health... I would not recommend them to anyone... Also sharing my experience with everyone I know... BEWARE!

Good veterinary services. Started using in 2013. Have boarded with them. Dog was well taken care of.
