My family adopted a cat named Max- a 1 1/2 year old missing an eye with a cleft lip and slightly deformed nose. He's the kindest, sweetest, most curious and loving cat we've ever had. The staff was thrilled we were taking him home. Max and I spend hours playing fetch with his favorite toy. He might have had a tough life, but he's found his forever home. Thank you, GCHS, for bringing this beautiful little boy into our lives.

Wonderful place full of amazing trained dogs. Today I decided to work on a project with the animals there and it was amazing. If you were looking for a pet I definitely recommend getting one from the Humane Society.

They were very helpful. They took in my dog Minnie in since I could not afford to have her. Minnie is well and she is with a foster mother now. I missed her everyday, but I did what was best for her. I cried everyday since I ss her so much. I know she is in the right place. God Bless you all.

Was not real impressed I was trying to get a lost kitten that came into my house and find out what it would cost to have it spayed and neutered and get it shots and they were very much help I don't have a lot of money massage trying to find a cheaper place I thought they could help initially I thought the cat would die but I kept it for a couple of weeks and it came to be in good health after it was eating from a couple of weeks

My Vet wanted to charge $500.00 plus for what they just did to spay my 8 month old cat. It cost me $107.00. Says it all, don't you think?

Took good care of my baby. They educated me on things I needed to know. Super friendly staff. Spay and neuter your pets please.

Great place and great staff

This no kill shelter was clean and bright. Each dog had a bed off the floor with a clean cover on it. Also each "cubicle" had a door in the back so they had the freedom to leave the hallway viewing area. There were volunteers/staff walking the dogs during our entire visit. We found a dog we liked and who like us, so they highly encouraged us to go home and pick up our current dog. It was clear to see the our choice and our current dog would not work out. We left without a dog, but with a very high respect for Gulf Cost Animal Shelter, and all the volunteers and staff that are there

Terrible, we waited 45 minutes to meet a dog only to find out we weren't supposed to wait outside in the front we were supposed to wait somewhere else. I told the receptionist we would be outside with our dog, and she just looked in the eye and said ok. She saw me come in and out 2 additional times and never told me they had called us and we missed it. Next week I will go to different shelter to adopt a dog, this place is ridiculous and unorganized.

I was able to donate some saline without any problem. Good to know that there are places to take medical supplies when your patient passes.

They had me adopt a dog under false info the poor dog .Had lung scaring worms .And all kinds of problems shes such a sweet girl.They had her over two months they should have found those issues.And before thatbshe was ay another pound.Im getting her all her treatments .But some one should have known that dog wasnt eating.And that she was very sick its noticeable. after fee hours i could tell she was very sick.
