Dr. Maria Philips is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

I’ve used Bayview for about 5 years , when I first started going there the vet care was excellent, from staff to vets. The past 1 to 1 1/2 the service has been inconsistent. The only consistency is the change over of staff and the team. There’s a different vet every time I go. One vet completely misdiagnosed her , I had to rush back over to the clinic. When I called this week I was on hold for 20 minutes, 15 minutes and today 39 minutes. My dog has pancreatitis and it’s crucial to get her in to be seen I finally went over there and they said they were too busy and to go somewhere else !!! This is my vet and on a Saturday, while my dog is having diarrhea!!!! The vet I saw on Wednesday obviously didn’t read her records and was somewhat condescending. I told her all the information you’re trying to give me is her history and in her chart , the IVVD , dysplasia etc !!!! I did take there advise and have found a new , wonderful , fully staffed vet office I read the previous reviews and I’m quit surprised they were so good. Bayview used to be the best in Ft Lauderdale,, sadly no more. And I’ve used vets in the area for 39 years

Have gone to Bayview for years for two of our dogs and at first it was great a few years back but things have changed. Most notably was a serious lack of follow up on a horrible situation we had with our dog who died hours after being seen by one of the newer vets. Notwithstanding questions on things missed that a subsequent hospital visit found but it was too late, the rating is more the lack of follow up at all. Every other place we went in that horrible three day experience called, and even sent sympathy cards expressing condolences on our Jack Russell’s sudden passing at such a young age. But her primary (Bayview), who was told of her passing as was every other center involved with her by the neurologist, never even called. Her prior primary (Plantation) who wasn’t involved but was told even called, but not Bayview. No call to follow up on her visit by the vet, and no call to express any sympathy except after we called days later to ask why we’ve never heard from them. Very disappointed given how great the vets at the time were when we first brought her as a puppy in 2016 and I hope they don’t do that to others in the future.

From the front desk, to the vet tech, to the vet, everyone was welcoming and professional. Interior was clean, spacious, and did not have that “wet dog/ strong chemical” smell. The tech and vet took the time to explain everything, welcomed my questions, and provided me a print out of costs prior to treating my cat (as he came in with an issue, more than just a standard exam). I had never been there before but felt they treated me and my cat like long time clients. They have an in house lab so most lab results are available same day. Definitely recommend!

Always friendly and great follow up.

I have brought both my dogs and cats here. Regular check ups go smooth and in times of emergency or uncertainty they are there to walk you through it. Dr Jake is honest and breaks everything down so its easy to understand. Not to mention is so good with the animals you can tell he really cares, my fur babies are actually happy to go see him.

Love this animal hospital! Everyone working there is so sweet and they truly care for animals. The vets are very knowledgeable and so friendly. Their prices are more than fair. I never felt I overpaid. Can’t say enough about this place. I recommend them to all my friends.

WE have been very blessed and pleased to have had the professional team of doctors at Bayview. I have been with Bayview for over 8 years or more and i have been very thankful for their care, compassion, and professionalism they have shown my entire two legged and four legged family.. All of their Vets have been amazing and as well as their entire staff. Bayview is highly recommended.

Friendly and kind staff, clean and reasonably priced. Brought my dog here when she didn't look well and they took her right away and had her scheduled for surgery the next morning to remove a stone in her bladder. My dog is recovering nicely! Caring, professional staff with a convenient location.

I'm very happy and relieved to meet Dr.Jake and his amazing team. He explained the situation very clearly. Not like some vet clinic which just giving me a invoice, he went over the result of blood test, the condition of my cats from his observation. Very easy to talk to, I was so comfortable to make decision for my cats future care plan.

This family of Vets were amazing to me and my pup Kaio. He needed the removal of a couple skin tags and at first only getting quoted for one to be removed it was affordable enough for me to commit. Then based on that I wanted to get his second as well. That second one appeared to be more trivial and the quote jumped externally high. I told them financially I wasn’t able to get both done day of surgery, just the one. When I came to pick up Kaio, he had both done and they explained they did it for FREE! It was such a sweet gesture and so appreciated because I’m going through a lot and support multiple people in my life. I’m of a young age and I just get by most months. So, I’m really great full for the nice, professional and extremely human staff that helped both Kaio and I! I highly recommend this office.

They were friendly but my cat wasn't having it.

This place is amazing! A ++++++++++ I had to go through some super tough things with my sweet little cat and they were so awesome! 5 stars isn't enough. Dr. Jake is amazing. So is Dr. Barlett, Kelly in reception ... everyone, everyone there is awesome, awesome! They helped me so, so much when I went through one of the toughest things I have ever had to go through. I can't thank you all enough. ❤

Amazing team every single time I’m taking my baby to her checkups. Been here with them for almost 6 years. Love the fact they’re so friendly and very responsive with all details. Great professionals from the counter ladies who greets you to all the sweet nurses. I can’t be more happier with the network.

You can’t go wrong with any of the vets at this clinic (and, at this point, I’ve seen them all). Dr. Seeman was our gateway vet at Bayview and brought my teenage cat back from the brink in December. Dr. Seeman was compassionate and absurdly generous with his time for someone he had, quite literally, just met - and just a couple days before Christmas, no less. Since then, both Dr. Bell and Dr. Bartlett have treated Finn for various ailments as well. All of the vets at Bayview have been kind, patient, helpful, and competent. The vet techs and front desk crew are also consistently wonderful and accommodating. Personally, I’ve found their rates fair. All in all, they make the drive from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale worth it because I trust them to properly treat my cat. Pro tip: you can schedule online, which is incredibly comforting for those 3 am panic attacks.

We have been loyal customers of Bayview Animal Hospital for over 15 years. Today after being treated rudely while being mandated to wear masks, we decided to permanently end our relationship with this establishment. We are instead moving our dogs to a Veterinary practice that does not mandate masks, and shows more respect and appreciation for their valued customers.

Dr. Jake and Desirae made my cat Orange feel so safe and calm. I have been going to this vet since 2001 and will be with them forever. They are the best in Broward for sure.

My dog Jake was not feeling well on Saturday morning. I called Bayview first thing in the morning . I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get in because Dr Jake was fully booked. The receptionist said she would leave a note on his desk but at this point they were fully booked. I was really concerned and trying to figure out where I was going to go next. Dr Jake immediately told the receptionist to tell me to come right in. He saw me , he didn't rush me . I was very concerned about my dog and he handled everything with the best of care and professionalism. I think Dr Bell is outstanding and Dr Jake is right there with him. I left their feeling that I had at least two doctors that I could completely depend on no matter what. That's the best feeling in the world because I have three big babies and I mean the world to me. Thank you so much Dr Jake for being the kind generous soul you are.

Could not be more pleased with Bayview. The receptionist was very accommodating, the vet tech, Kim, was loving and kind, and Dr. Bartlett was knowledgeable, patient and obviously loves animals. I feel very comfortable having scheduled my pup's neutering. I had been elsewhere in the area and not happy with two other places. They will be my choice to take care of him for his lifetime!

Excellent service. I brought my dog for a skin issue and instead of giving me strong medications they gave me more natural remedies. They took their time with us and we’re very thorough. So happy I found them after going to a few other vets in the area

This was our 1st time here..The place was nice and clean. The staff was polite and so friendly. They treated my fur baby(Kiddy) really nice. By the way Dr. Jake rocks!!

I have been going to Bayview with all of my animals for 15 years, Over the years there have been many changes to both the office as well as the team. I have always had really good experiences, that is why it pains me to write this review. I am not sure what is going on there over the last few months but I have had very challenging interactions with the team, to the point that I am seriously considering changing vets. The issues range from not ordering medication that I called in, to telling me that they will withhold my diabetic dogs insulin until I bring her in, to being treated very rudely on the phone when they made the mistake. And these are just some of the issues, The worst was when I took my dog in and the Vet telling me that she was just old and had stiff joints, Even after I pointed out that it was not the issue she insisted and sent me home with $200+ dollars of worthless medication, 3 hours later my dog was rushed to the Animal ER and spent 4 days in the hospital because she had a stroke due to a blood clot. On top of all of it I found out that the Vet told the Tech that she really didn't feel like running a bunch of tests because she was hungover and if it wasn't what she diagnosed, the I "would come back".

Dr. Jake and the staff are great. They always treat Brisbane gently knowing he's deaf. I love Bayview!

I cannot say enough good things about the vet. I’ve been bringing all of my animals here for years. The past few days have really confirmed just how great they are after my dog Buddy had an episode where he was very sick. Dr. Bartlett was AMAZING! She called me with updates and answered any questions I had. I would also be annoying and call and check on my dog very often but every time. The staff and Dr. Bartlett were so understanding and happy to give me an update. I’m so glad to have my dog healthy and back at home thanks to Bayview and Dr. Bartlett. Thank you!!

The staff is very pleasant and attentive, this is very important when you bring a member of your "family" in for care. I highly recommend their services.
