Countryside at the Park Deland, Florida

I have been going to Countryside (both here and the main location on 15a) for 17 years. Dr Adrian Mitchell is the BEST vet ever! Unfortunately, she left (retired) last summer. She was the main reason I never considered going elsewhere all those years. I also liked Dr Stephanie Bryson who subbed in when Dr Mitchell was on vacation/maternity/etc. I started seeing her full-time when Dr Mitchell left. She also recently left and is rumored to be opening her own vet office (still has not happened as of 01/12/22.). The vet techs and support staff at both locations is second to none. Although I could probably name 15 folks that are great, some of the long-time office admin names that really stand out for me are Terri and Adam (simply the best) as well as Jamie, Bri, Colton, and Amanda. There are very few original vets still there. Many are new and have been there less than 2 or 3 years. Apparently Dr Brewer still owns it (I had heard a corporation bought him out). As with most vet offices, there is a huge challenge right now to get vets. They want to keep their Park location open, but that will depend on staffing. If you live in south DeLand or Orange City, the Park location is perfect, but the main location is 25 - 30 minutes north. I'm going to stay for now, but a lot of things will or will not happen in the next several months which will influence my decision down the road. They are not accepting new patients at this time (again related to manpower). Their challenges are typical in the industry right now so even though it's frustrating, it is not Countryside's fault and we should give Dr Brewer a chance to get things moving/sorted. They have never been the cheapest vet in town (and may even be a little on the high side) but you get what you pay for and they seem to be in line/consistent with other comparable vets in the area. Finally, some things that set them apart from other vets: They always treat you like family and treat your fur babies like they belong to them. I've had to put down 3 dogs in the past 17 years and they are remarkable in handling the situation. They also take care of cremation (sending it out) and securing the ashes for you when you are at your lowest so you really appreciate them stepping in to help. They have also helped me at least 4 or 5 different times when I had urgent issues with one of my kidz (all 3 who passed had a form of cancer) and worked me in with no appointment. They even stayed open > 2 additional hours on a Saturday once when my poor Bandit collapsed. She had to be put down that day but they explained all of my choices and handled everything for me. They also didn't rush us at all even though they were on OT. They allowed us to stay in the room as long as we wanted to say our goodbyes. Of course, these are all experiences in the past with Dr Mitchell, but I've always sensed that Dr Mitchell was a perfect reflection of Countryside. Why else would such a great vet stay with them all those years? Two thumbs up (and 5 stars).

You guys have been wonderful in taking care of my fur babies. You were the ones that found that my Skye had lymphoma! If it wasn’t for the doctor at the time noticing this I don’t know how we would have handled it. Thank you for taking good care of her and letting us have a few more months with her! As for my recent visit, thank you thank you so much in squeezing me in before the holidays to update Remi’s shots before boarding! You guys didn’t have to do this but you did and it helped me out a ton! A greatly appreciate that type of service!!

5 stars for sure they are very gentle with our pet and not too pricey

We trust our cat with them 100%. They take their time and they love him. Dr. Melise and all the nurse are great with him.

Had to take our dog in because he wasn't acting himself. So it was not scheduled appointment. But Countryside was able to fit us in. We had Dr. Brewer, what awesome doctor. He took time to as much information as possible and took time to sit and talk with me about the situation that was going on with our dog. Dr.Brewer is a very personable doctor. The next morning Dr.Brewer call me to check to check on our dog and took few minutes to talk about the situation. All of the doctors on staff are awesome there. Speaking of awesome! The whole staff is awesome, techs and front office are too. I highly recommend Countryside. Even though covid they adjusted and still took care of everyone's fur babies..

Love this veterinarian! My pup is always excited to visit them. They offer great services and are located very conveniently.

Always attentive and kind to pet and pet parent

I have been with Countryside for many years .. A year ago we had to put our 16 year old girl down & they were so sympathetic.. Now I have a new little girl & they just adore her —. Saylor LOVES going to her vet !!! They make every moment fun for her .. I cannot say enough about the staff or Doctor !! ????????

The Countryside Team was there for us with quality care for Leila, Lola and Baron for 14 years. We're looking forward to another 14+ years with Daisy and Talulah:)

Countyside has always been good with all my furbabys, veterinarians and staff always helpfull and courteous.

We have just rescued a dog and wanted to get off on the right foot. We took our dog to Countryside at the Park Animal Clinic in Deland. Great experience for both my dog and me! Very clean facility! Super friendly and helpful staff! Terrific vet...took time to explain things to me that will help in caring for our new addition! Cost was reasonable! So happy to have found Countryside at the Park Animal Clinic for our fur baby!!!!

Countryside at the Park Animal Vets/techs & staff Are the best around! They are ALL professional, friendly and caring, 5 stars all around! The best we’ve ever been to for our furry friends. :)

This was my first visit to Countryside at the Park and it was a very positive experience. The staff was knowledgeable and went out of their way to communicate with me about treatment options for my pet's health. It was also such a relief to find a clinic with providers who are kind in handling my challenging chihuahua.

Tate was seen today for a check up and a complimentary nail trim. Everyone was very nice. They came out to the car and got him and the doctor called me while i was there with his diagnosis. They were very helpful and professional.

I've been taking my dogs for a few years and they've always been great. They show love for the pets and are very thorough.

The staff at Countryside Animal Clinic are always very friendly and attentive to my pets needs. Great place to take your pet for care. Pricing is reasonable as well.

I want to take the time to write a review for Countryside because of what they have done for our family. Our good ole dog of 15 years Tucker went over to the Rainbow Bridge. I cannot tell you how deeply moved by our experience with Countryside. They understood how hard it can be to lose a family member. They went over several options with us and when it was time, we got to be with him for those last several moments. Afterwards the staff wrote us a card which we never would have expected. Our family wants to Thank you for all the hard work you guys do .

Absolutely Wonderful !! They took great care of my Lola Girl ???????? Shes a lil spoiled and they spoiled her right along with me , even carried her in like the baby she thinks she is!! Phenomenal curbside service and great prices too. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND you take your fur-babies here !!
