Banfield Pet Hospital Bradenton, Florida

Staff has always been friendly and helpful, even though my animals are not patients with them!

Took my cat to get vaccinated in 2020 because I was new to the area and didn't have an established vet. They gave my in-door, senior cat a 3 year vaccination with a 1 year rabies certificate. Now a year later I am required to get another rabies vaccination because they will not reissue a corrected certificate. Go to a reputable veterinarian to avoid this. I highly recommend De Soto.

The employee turnover is atrocious. The monthly Care plan is a rip off that they will happily misrepresent to you verbally in order to get you to sign up. After too many years dealing with Banfield, I highly recommend you go elsewhere. They only care about money at the end of each day. Another heartless corporate machine focused only on growth and revenue...not the care of your beloved pets. Find a local small business vet with that has a solid reputation, fair pricing where they actually care about your fur baby. IMO Banfield is as bad as a puppy mill.

The staff is wonderful and very friendly! Dr. Escew is the best. She has taken care of our two fur babies Lucy & Molly!

Our 15 year old Lahsa was very sick having diarrhea all over the house, throwing up, and suffering a small seizure. Upon calling Banfield we were told they were booked for the next week, and to go to the pet emergency room. Which we did she got some care and Rx to the tune of almost $400. I'm not complaining about the care she received at this appointment, just that it took too long to get her help from her own vet. Don't you take care of emergencies? Might be looking for new Vet. We did like Dr. Wilson though.

Im sad to say I do not recommend this place to everyone. I'm paying $50 a month for six years entrusted my pet life to them, but they neglected to find out that my baby has stage four cancer. I have been telling them about the lymph nodes growing on my baby's jaw, but they do nothing about it except ignoring it. I went to another hospital for a second opinion from them I found out that my dog is in a critical situation and these people at Banfield do nothing but collecting our money monthly I hope you face a very bad karma.

I took my cat tgere cause he hadnt eaten or drank water for almost a week. I was put on hold on tge phone for over 12 minutes once I got there and afterwards charged for service I did not get. I caught it, took my paper receipt in and the amount was refinded. But I was shocked they LIED about the service performed. Wont use them again.

I made the trek from Sarasota to get my dog spayed (I have the insurance) because the location at stickney pt was beyond terrible customer/pet service. I wasn’t happy about having to make the drive but it was 100% worth it because Dr. Sarah and her team was absolutely amazing. The vet even gave me her personal number because we had a couple bumps in the road with our girl. Highly recommend!

Dropped our puppy off for an appointment. Called after 5 HOURS without hearing from them and they hadn’t even gotten to him! God knows what he experienced in those 5 hours. Then they did procedures without our consent!

I usually dont leave bad reviews. However, this location for Banfield has to be the worse. The bad reviews are facts. Every-time you call, you are guaranteed to be placed on hold for at least 5 mins. Every time i try to schedule a appt, they were rude and inform me that i had to go the location on my account which is the Sarasota location. Keep in mind i live in Bradenton which is closer. They are always trying to bill me separately for something. They added the 3 in one flea meds to my account, and later told me they were out of stock and will contact me when the shipment come in. I had to call everyday for a week to get the meds. I rather drive 30 mins to Sarasota then to receive the treatment that the Bradenton location gives. I may have to contact corporate.

They took great care of my pit. She gets really bad allergies this was my first time here and now she will continue to go here . Great wellness plans that include dental !

We have always gotten great service at Banfield. Even today, working through social distancing issues, everyone was professional and courteous.

The vets were very thorough. They made sure my doggy got what he needed to feel better! Thanks to a great team!

Unfortunately, we had to visit Banfield to have my dog euthanized. It was extremely difficult letting go of our fur baby. The staff was extremely comforting, and made the experience the best it could be under the circumstances. I really appreciated the empathy and the care the team showed us on this difficult day. They even sent us a signed card a few days later. I know my boy was always well taken care during his treatments at Banfield even on his last day.

This is a wonderful place with great staff all of these negative reviews appall me. They have saved my dogs life multiple times and are always there when we need them. Some people writing bad reviews don’t seem to understand that you have to keep paying for the plan because you’ve already used the services.Its crazy that you would besmirch a business without fully understanding it. It would be $1000s more without the plan and at other places. If they have the tools to do so they will do anything and everything for your pet.

Great Vets...wouldn't take my dog anywhere else...love the wellness plan...

We have a full blooded English bulldog and a full-blooded Basset Hound would not take my kids know where else President Trump great assistances great vets and you're very nice to our pups would recommend it to anyone

They do a great job in grooming Chunky's nails.

I’m a little sad to give them this review but I was sadder to see the conditions that they gave my dog back to me and literally with no answer of what was wrong with him. even though they have a grooming salon they gave my dog back full of Pee and poop And didn’t give me a diagnosis on his problem. I felt very disappointed.

As soon as you walk in the door you can smell the alcohol and it is so clean. A dog wet on the floor and they were cleaning it up before they were out the door. Fantastic staff.

Scheduled an appointment about a week ago for two kittens that my fiancé found for a new kitten check up, etc. However, go there for my appointment times and am told by front desk individual that our appointments don’t exist. Come to find out their online scheduler isn’t actually working and that the appointments I booked never actually existed. No one persons fault, but just frustrating altogether about waiting for this appointment to have it never actually been valid. Was offered an additional appt. later this coming week, but I’m just frustrated with the entire situation so I won’t be coming back.

Doctor Sarah is the perfect veterinarian!

Nail trim very affordable and they also have pet bathing amd grooming as well as veteran on staff.

Pretty good Banfield with friendly staff and good service. Could probably improve in their intake process during COVID, but hopefully these hiccups will be resolved soon.

Great place to take your pets

They have everything you need but, lack the staff to help you. The groomers are great next door in PetSmart!
