VCA Spanish River Animal Hospital Boca Raton, Florida

I have been going to VCA Spanish River for about two years and have nothing but great things to say. Everyone there is so kind and helpful! Dr. Greenland really takes the time to explain things and listen to your every concern. We recently moved to Hollywood but find it absolutely worth it making the drive up to receive quality care for our babies.

Nice drs and staff came for a canine annual. A bit expensive but they were very fast and loved my dog.

Very nice veterinary clinic. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Doctors communicate very well with customers. The medication they prescribed for my cat really helped!

All the Vets are great.

We took our 5 1/2 year old American Bulldog to VCA to get neutered. We thought his prostate complications were from not being neutered. It ended up being bladder cancer that was inoperable. We had to make a decision that moment to take him home for a few possibly good months (most of them probably in pain) or send him to doggie heaven. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make. With that being said, everyone from the front end girls to the back team and the vet were outstanding. He explained the whole process with us and gave us our options. Everyone was beyond compassionate and made us comfortable until we said our good-byes. They definitely went above and beyond in giving us all the time we needed with our baby and helping us through this. This was our first time at VCA Spanish River and we are so grateful we found them. Even if it was our first and last visit. Thank you all for everything and you are just amazing!

No, no and no. Horrible experience with the vet. Let me start by saying that the tech was lovely and very sweet. But the vet I saw was the worst. Misdiagnosed my dog (what kind of vet does not even examine for back pain in a dog that's having trouble moving?), vet spent maybe 60 seconds total discussing my dog's issues and offered no real support other than wanting to charge me $1000 for extensive testing, rolled his eyes at me when I said I cannot pay for that much testing in 1 day, and the clinic never followed up afterwards to see how my dog is doing. I took him to a different vet the next day, they diagnosed his back injury without a ton of unnecessary testing and gave him medication to get him on his way to healing. I would never recommend this clinic or vet, as they only seem to care about the $$$.

This is a great facility and I love bringing my dogs here. Currently doing curbside service, safe and clean.

Both times I've been there, the staff was very gentle (both with dogs and humans). The place is clean and smells good. I went there to get my dogs vaccinated and everything went well. However they weren't very clear regarding the price for one of the vaccines, so I ended up paying more than I had initially agreed.

Office & drs are the best

During this crazy COVOID-19 time, yesterday, we had to put our cat to sleep. I was very concerned that we would not be able to be there during the procedure, as other vet offices are not allowing anyone into offices - even for euthanasia, but the staff informed me that euthanasia is the only exception they were making for owners entering the facility. VCA staff made us feel as good as a pet owner can feel in this sort of situation. There were safety precautions in place, of course, but we were able to say our final goodbyes appropriately. Dr. Greenland is the best vet, and truly cares for you, as an owner, and your pet.

The staff and Dr. Greenland are wonderful. They treat our cat Max like their own pet.

Would not recommend. Staff was nice but no one seemed to know anything including the vet. Bringing your dog to a random neighbor would yield the same result. Their goal is to provide as little information as possible on 1st visit and schedule follow ups. I get that you're in business to make money but at least provide some real service and VETERINARIAN EXPERTISE along the way.

They wete SO kind to my dachshund Molly when she wasn't feeling well. I really love this memory as she passed recently of advanced years. She loved this place! They are so kind and gentle. They even gave her a little something for pain she had in her teeth. Thank you.

Our Molly (she's a 4 pound, 2 year old Morkie) had her first visit with Dr. Young at VCA Spanish River Animal Hospital in Boca Raton, FL, yesterday. The facility is very clean, welcoming and cheerful :) The staff was great and very caring and so wasn't Dr. Young - he is great! Molly (and I) felt comfortable right away. We are so happy with our new veterinary home, so close to home, for Molly!

Dr. Greenland and his staff are fantastic. He's taken care of my animals for years, and has been through two knee surgeries with our 100 pound dog. The staff definitely cares about your animals, knows who you are as soon as you walk in, and calls after you leave to check in on your fur babies. Dr. Greenland is amazing and takes time to explain in detail anything you need to know; you'll never feel rushed and you'll always feel like your animals are getting the best care. Highly recommend this office to anyone.

AMAZING PLACE AND STAFF. I was visiting Florida and my pet got sick, they accepted me same day and provided my dog the best treatment. Will recommend this place to all my friends and family who visit Florida with their pets. :)

Dr was afraid of my mixed Pitbull, who is very friendly, so was very anxious around her to the point we got up and left.

I have used Spanish River Animal Hospital for my animals care for many years. I recently had to make a difficult decision on one of my cats as she was getting very old and starting to suffer. I was fortunate that Dr Brian Young and Sherri were there with compassion and professionalism to ease the pain of a decision we sometimes have to make for a sick animal with senior endstage issues. The staff at Spanish River have helped to keep my animals healthy and happy for many years. They were very comforting in helping my cat to end her suffering and move on to a better place without added pain.

Professional. Personal, and carrying environment.

They made my dog very uncomfortable. This is our first time at this vet but I have moved with him often and he has seen several other vets. Never ever ever had an issue. They terrified him and then they were rude to him which made him very uncomfortable. The staff members were strange and the vet was VERY inappropriate with my dog and was unkind. I have never left a negative google review in my life because I’ve mever felt it necessary until now. Prices were fair but I will pay 5x more just to never go here again. I’m in tears
