I have multiple dogs that we bring to this vet and still can’t get decent service. 3 of my 6 puppies has mucus coming from their nose. I was told I would probably been seen and I’ll receive a call back. I have yet to receive the call back. I called back to be told I can’t be seen. How long does it take to exam the puppies, swab their nose and administer some type of antibiotic? I guess we’ll take our services to one of the two vets across the street. Thanks VCA

Came in today with Holly to get her first influenza vaccine. On a previous visit, we set expectations on pricing multiple times with the Vet tech on how the cost of the shot was $66. We come in today to get the vaccine done and out of no where, the Vet Tech Sarah stated that an exam fee ($60) also needed to be charged on top of it. I then asked Sarah to ask Michelle & Dr. Rivas if that exam fee could be waived given that this was not mentioned to us prior to the visit. Michelle declined it. This is a clear example of what a bait and switch looks like, they tell you one price and when you come in, its another. I spoke with Michelle directly via phone and her ability to reason with me was near zero. No people skills with zero empathy toward her clients. She is the reason why customer retention will always be a problem here. Just terrible. At no point on the previous visit was that communicated to us. We decided to move forward regardless given that we love our dog and this needs to get done. Will be disputing the exam fee with my creditor once the the transaction is tendered. To the folks out there, please be careful with the bait and switch practices of Dr. Rivas along with the manager Michelle. You don't do this to your clients, it's just bad business. BE CAREFUL! The owner's reply shown below leads you to believe that this didn't happen at this location.... it did. The address and the people mentioned in my review are those that work at this location. No error was made on my part, you guys are just awful.

Went in as a walk in for my cat who was vomiting and not eating. Two hour wait. They wanted to run a gambit of testing and I opted out of some (which ultimately weren't needed) and bill went from $1300 to $580. Meds and anti nausea shot for total of $80 and blood work. I had to follow up the next day bc no one contacted me with the lab results. Everything turned out OK so thankfully I didn't have to go back. I believe my cat just ate something that didn't sit well, potentially a plant. She's been ok ever since. I may consider other options next time.

Don’t bother calling this place. The receptionist was lost throughout the entire call, kept putting me on hold. Then after ten minutes decides to transfer me to another department who would help me. I asked the guy for pricing of boarding my cat etc and he then tells me I need to speak to Reception again. I was then placed on hold for 5 minutes and decided to call another cat boarding place. I’m not impressed with the service at a “renowned” pet hospital and resort. Completely waste of my time. Train your staff.

Dr. Urday, Andoni and Sara took excellent care of two of my cats today. One kitty is difficult to handle and their calm energy kept her relatively calm. Amazing. Under Dr. Urday’s care, my 15 year old cat is on the proper medication and appears to be thriving now. In addition, the front office staff was efficient, professional and caring. I have been coming here for the last 10 years after receiving mediocre care at other veterinary practices. Although I felt I was receiving good care here before Dr. Urday, he is a step above. I highly recommend Dr. Urday at VCA. .

I have been bringing my dog to VCA Aventura since she was 6 months old - she is now 15! The love and care that the staff have for not only her, but myself, is unlike anywhere else I've ever been. Sara is a perfect example of that. She has been there for many many years, and never ceases to amaze me every time I drop by. If you want a clinic that truly cares for you and your pet, go here!

The staff are very professional, understanding and caring for our loving pets. My Chihuahua has allergies condition Dr. Rivas was able to pin point my dog health issues. He recommended and prescribed medications for her skin flare up as well some antibiotics injections and fungus shampoo. He was very caring with great explanation. I will always bring my dog to VCA in Aventura.????????

I took my dog to have his infected eye looked at. Everyone was very nice and attentive here. I especially appreciated Sara’s care and insight. The procedure was quicker than I expected and the doctor answered all my questions, what to expect in the upcoming weeks and how to avoid a drastic surgery. Thank you so much!

I only stopped by to get info & pricing for vet service. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly helpful. I had several questions about flea treatment & they were very knowledgeable, told me what to do & buy for my 2 cats.

They're now owned by VCA and unfortunately the corporation has cut back so much the doctors and staff who haven't already left, can't do their jobs. After 30 years, we left.

Very nice place! If it wasn't for Fernanda and dr. Urjay, my dog would have died... They saved her life fast by having surgery and taking care of everything. Fernanda is the sweet person you can imagine, she's always ready to help, treating the animals as babies and a cooler person to talk to us humans too!

They are the most caring place that we’ve taken our Kitty to, super affectionate towards Our cat TeeTee and the perfect treatment for him, he’s eating great (even the soft food), going to his litter box (no accidents). We already see a change in him, we are super happy! We love our TeeTee so much! Thank you Dr. Carlos Urday!????

This hospital is the best! I didnt want to travel all the way to my usual vet in deerfield beach but my dog needed food. I didnt even have the prescription and I was freaking out but they were able to help me. This is definetly my new food place. Gemma the receptionist was so kind and patient I was so lost but she really took the time to help me . thanks guys!

Truly such an amazing and genuine team! Every time I come in, I am always greeted by friendly people who I know really care for the wellbeing of my dog, Coco. They always teach me something new about caring for her and I really appreciate their time and effort. Thanks guys, you rock!

Everyone at VCA Aventura is great, all the Doctors, from Dr. Urday, Dr. Basto, Dr. Rivas, etc. All amazing ! Technicians, Laura, Sarah, Jessica, Genesis, Fernanda, Giovani, manager Michelle, front desk staff Nelly, Ariel, Kiara, Gemma, just to name a few & our groomer Sharon. Thank you for helping us everyday and giving your best to keep our babies healthy! :)

It was great the first few visits but after a while I realized that we were being pushed into unnecessary test. Dog went in for a UTI and they pushed labs and X-rays. Walked out spending over $600. This issue I started having with them is that when I would come in to check in it’s as if they were ignoring me. I would have to speak up and say something each time

I’ve been coming to VCA for the past 3 years since I adopted my dog. My dog is almost 9 years and he has problems of trust and aggressive behavior to strangers because of his traumatic past. I’ve been in contact with Michelle the manager and she has been very understanding and accommodating to my request. However, employees changes every time I go there. Specially veterinarians. Today, I had the worst service in my life. DVM CARLOS URDAY was in charge of my dog’s yearly check up. Appointment at 11:30 am. He sedated my dog as usual and then he has to knock him down completely to examine his eyes closely. He recommended a couple products (visit $1000). Everything was fine until I noticed my dog was not waking up in the time frame as previous past visits. Then the issue started when we were getting close from their closing time at 5:00pm. My dog couldn’t stand up or move his legs. Last time I spoke with the manager she said I could leave my dog in case he was too drowsy because the elevator in my building was not working and my dog is 80lb. I asked the tech Jessica to check that possibility and she was willing to help. Then Carlos URDAY said i couldn’t leave my dog there and kicked me literally out to the street. He got into an argument with me. He screamed, confront me and show lack of professionalism. He was rude and negligent. Never in my life was treated like that and kicked out with an animal in that condition.He never understood I was worried about my dog’s health . It’s 11 pm and I still in my car waiting for my dog to wake up. I’m glad Jessica, vet tech , was there to helped me and approach to the situation in a different manner, being more human. Carlos URDAY is definitely in the wrong career!! Please be away from this guy he will take your money and won’t care about anything else !! So disappointed that VCA has people like him working with clients and animals! Shame of you ! Mi
