They take care of my cat even next day they call me asking me for my cat how he was doing. Increíble!!!

I have taken my cat to Dr. Yao's ever since I adopted her and in general find that service is poor and staff (except for Channel) is unhelpful. Recently, I took my cat because I needed a certificate to travel abroad with her and they took my appointment without giving me any advise as to how to proceed to obtain the USDA's signature. Instead , staff members instructed me to "google" it. After finding out that Dr. Yao is not USDA-accredited to emit such certificate online, they reimbursed my money ($125) but still, half my day was spent in this ordeal and I had to go to another vet. Called to speak with somebody about this issue and was kept on hold for five minutes and then they hung up on. When I called back, an unfriendly staff member did not ackowledge my problem or my understandable frustration and said I needed to email the doctor because the office manager is not available and will not be available anytime soon. I would not recommend this clinic, the staff is pretty unhelpful and rude over the phone.

These people are complete unprofessional and expensive. I strongly do not recommend you bring your pet here.

Itty's first visit with Dr Yao was a very good experience; he even said "she smells good." The tech was wonderful; everyone is kind!

I never had to write a negative review, but this time I am extremely disappointed with the lack of regard of my dog health.I put together a file with notes, multiple exams, multiples blood work, pic And videos in my phone showing my dog situation at different time periods, and more. This way Mr Yao could make a informed diagnostic of my dog. but her assistance couldn't understand the dire situation my dog was in and didnt even try to fined a way that I could explain the different issues that my dog had. She wanted me to wait in my car so he could look at her and call me on the phone that I had all the pic, videos. She was worried about covid and the doctors health, but she didn't care a bit about my dog. If she was so worried she should ask the doctor to close the practice. Any person can transmit covid including them. I had my vaccine card and was wearing a mask. I could have stand 10 feet away and taken all precautions necessary. But it didn't happen they didnt care a bit.

I bring my wire fox terrier here whenever needed. Very nice office staff and Dr. Yao is very professional and explains everything before/after each visit. Highly recommend!

Dr. Yao and his staff are excellent, caring and very compassionate. Their prices are competitive and they do not push unnecessary treatments. The hospital observes strict COVID-19 precautions. Located near El Portal, Belle Meade and Miami Shores Florida

I took my dog for a second opinion on a mammary gland operation, I asked the receptionist if the doctor performs surgeries. I was told he does. Dr Yao recommended to do X-rays and blood work. He should have not done any testing if he knew that he would not be able to do the surgery. It was a waste of time and money. I also requested that they send me the results of the tests so that I would not have to pay for them all over again. Their fax was broken at the time. One month later, their fax was still broken. I had to pay for the blood work all over again. Dr Yao was very professional in the phone but not honest. What is the point of all the testing, which came out fine, if by examining the dog you know that you won’t be able to do the surgery.

I have known Dr.Yao for the past 15 years. I have taken all my dogs to him. Dr. Yao is a very honest doctor, he cares about the dogs & I have had nothing but exceptional experiences with him. Keep up the great work.

We have have been bringing our dog Rosemary to Dr. Yao for several years. She has always been healthy and rarely needed anything in terms of vet visits, just the required basics. But now that she's almost 14, the "old lady" problems are sneaking up and he and the staff are very accommodating and patient with her in the more frequent visits. We know she's in good hands when she's there.

Vent nice little vet, I’ve never brought my dogs here for check or any thing but what I love is that I can buy they’re flee medicine without having to bring them with me. I’ve Call other vets and they require me to bring the dog which is annoying sometimes. All you have to know is your dog weight and you’re all set.

They are the best. They got my lolita back to normal. Thank you to the wonderful staff

Dr. Yao and his support staff are top notch. I was recommended by a friend to take my 10 year-old english bulldog there to see him and I am glad I did. The care they have for animals is unmatched and I appreciate their service. Easy to make an appointment and affordable. If you are having a hard time finding a vet here in Miami - look no further.

Had a terrible experience with my dog. After buying a puppy package I booked a time to take my dog for his second vaccine, they made me wait in the car for about 55 minutes with me calling about every 10 minutes. At that point I gave up went back home and had to find a good vet for my dog. They didn’t even gave me any explanation for the delay or an expected time to take my puppy inside and now I’m trying to get part of my pre-paid package back.

We had been going to Yao since the birth of our Pup, and since then it’s a steady decline in service and they have used the pandemic to validate expensive and mediocre service. I called these numbskulls to set up an appointment for 11:15 , we show up at 11:12 because we used to come earlier but they would have us wait in our vehicle for hours before even looking at my dog. We show up and basically make us wait an hour and even call us to tell us a routine check up on our dog is 250$. Mind you they hadn’t even SEEN THE DOG LMAO. They just assumed and wanted my credit card information and of course dog was still in my car and we waited and 1hr 30 till we realized that Yao and co. Were no longer the friendly caring vets for our pets. Seems like they are scrambling and book more appointments than they can handle and seem to take advantage of the pandemic and keep people with their panting pets in their vehicles. Eff that noise and go somewhere else.

Updated: Unfortunately I have changed my rating. I know everyone is busy and we have to adapt to new circumstances. But more than ones I called to ask questions or follow up on a specific case and the reply was email the Dr. I email various times and never got a reply. So we decided to change Vet. Old Review. First time coming to the Vet for Yoga Vom Bustos. Due to coronavirus we had to wait outside. The assistant were super friendly and explained to me the steps and how the process was going to work. When Dr Yao called me he was super friendly and explained to me next steps for my pup and was interested in the dog. Felt like part of the family.

I came here because I was recommended by a friend and I read great reviews. I normally go to a vet in Pembroke Pines but since I recently moved I didn’t want to trouble my cat in the back and fort travel and decided to give this place a try. Biggest mistake of my life. Before I scheduled my appointment I specifically asked for the price of the tests (my previous VET advised me everything I would need). I waited over 2 hours in the car while they took my cat. They called me in the end to tell me that she needs some meds and she’s a perfectly healthy cat. Then they called me shortly after to advise me I had a $250 bill for something I was quoted $100 for. After further arguing I found out they administered things on my cat I did not approve. The doctor did not mention these as things being done to me on our call . They realized their mistake and took off some things. Still left me with a very high bill and I will never come back here again. The number one job of a doctor is to inform and he failed quite tremendously and what makes me even more angry is that he administered things without my approval. Stay away and take your pet to a place elsewhere!

Treat my pets amazingly well. Great staff. Love this place. Very conveniently located as well. Dr Yao is amazing.

I've started taking my cat here for routine check-ups and dental cleanings. I am always in and out in a timely manner and pricing is very fair relative to other practices in the area! I find that if I stay proactive in getting my cat treatment as soon as he needs it and keep a savings account for his medical expenses, Yao Animal Hospital is an affordable and courteous practice. Please keep in mind that is your responsibility as a pet owner to budget enough money to have your pet seen for routine checkups and urgent/emergency visits. Additionally, it is also your responsibility as a pet owner to get your pet seen as soon as you notice their symptoms; the longer you wait on an issue, the higher the cost!

Dr. Yao is highly competent, empathetic and has divine hands. Highly recommended! My frontdesk lady Jackie has been amazing with us on many occasions. I totally trust Dr. Yao regarding all my pets' needs, he is fabulous!

Good care but rude front office staff (not Jackie), I don't appreciate being hung up on, I've been a client for over a decade but I will take my pets elsewhere from now on.

I love my dog and wanted the best for her health. She was suffering from periodontal disease and had a big infection in her mouth and gums...i researched many vets in miami and found dr.yao to have great reviews. I took my chances, and I am so happy and grateful of my decision to choose him. He is an amazing Dr who has expertise, professionalism a passionate love for animals. His staff are also amazing and they guaranteed me that everything was going to be ok :) My little Mota went through surgery perfectly fine and had some tooth extractions done. She is no longer in pain and is very happy!! They have great prices aswell!! Thank you Yao animal hospital for your love and care for my mota. You guys are awesome!!

My dog passed away because Dr. Yao failed to see she had kidney failure in her bloodwork. Could have 100% been prevented. Spent thousands at his office for him to not even do his job properly. Overcharging people for nothing, don’t take your pets here.

Wow. Dr. Yao. Welcome to an extremely competent, caring knowledgeable practice. When your pet is critically ill, you're in a tough spot. I ended up in this office after having an "alternative truth" experience elsewhere in Hollywood. The staff here is professional and caring, the doctor is everything and more. The prices are what they are but not as expensive as the Hollywood place. The office is clean and comfortable. A real doctor with a real practice. Yes, I highly reccomend.
