Doc mcnulty, is the best doc in DeSoto,Desoto,. He's so patient will all animals and trys to treat for the best price and best scenario, for the best out come. Very pet minded.

We were guided, by Google, to this vet in town on a Sunday. The online hours showed that it was open from 8am-12pm. So trusting that they were open, we drove down there with an injured dog. We weren’t even in the parking lot for a minute, questioning whether or not the place was actually open because there were no cars there at all, when who I presume to be the veterinarian, drove up. All he said was “It’s closed! I work six days a week. This is was emergency clinics are for!” And drove off. He didn’t even give us a chance to speak or explain that the information online was inaccurate. I work in veterinary medicine myself and I 100% understand that burnout is real. But never have I witnessed a professional treat people with so little compassion or disrespect. We are reasonable people who understand that sometimes Google info is not totally accurate and didn’t have a problem driving to Port Charlotte. A “we are closed” would have sufficed. Thankfully, I don’t plan to go here ever again and I am happy to take our multi-pet business to Port Charlotte.

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Mcnulty since I purchased my home in Arcadia three years ago. My animals really like him and so do I. He's very knowledgeable, and he leaves the decisions up to you. He tells you what needs doing and let's you decide when you can afford to get it done etc. A lot of vet's just spend your money on things that aren't always necessary at that very moment. I took my little chihuahua today. He took care of the issue at hand and recommended a few other things he would like to see done. So I was able to make an appointment to have it done when I have the money to do it. I would highly recommend Desoto veterinary services for all your pets veterinary needs

My puppy was not feeling well. Made a appointment the staff was very nice and friendly and helpful Got my puppy feeling better i would recommend the desoto veterinary services. To anyone cause they saved my puppy and gained a life costumer.

Very Rude and out dated. I have taken many of animals to this clinic over the years even when I was a kid I took my animals here. After last encounter with these people I will not be returning. Was told my dog had parvo and would never recover from it. Was told "she will always have live virus in here poop even if she does live". We were in the process of getting rid of her after this heart breaking news because we have another 3 healthy dogs. When we were calling around to other vet offices to see our options, It was then we were told how parvo, however very dangerous is also very curable and with a hospital stay it would increase her chances of survival. So we agree to do that and we take her in to find out she is negative for parvo they then explain to us about the archaic test set that was used on her and why it showed a false positive and to even further prove what they were talking about they ran a second parvo test using the archaic out dated form which still came up negative. She was put through a multitude of test and the only thing wrong with her is a minor inflamed infection in her stomach caused by something she ate. When we called DeSoto vet back to let them know the news and to see if we could get a refund for the medicine they falsely prescribed us, not a refund for her test that was out dated and inconclusive, the lady at the front desk was highly rude and intolerant saying what we paid for was "a positive parvo test" that being said the vet Mr. mcnulty was not the one who gave all the faulty information nor was he rude it's was the lady at the front counter giving out faulty information and being highly rude. Mr.Mcnulty is still highly respectable man in my opinion but his staff could use some updated information or not tell patients completely wrong information. The information she told me was easily debunked by 10 mins of research on google and then the second vet we took the dog too told us the information we were told by that lady was wrong. I don't like to go out of my way to post long negative reviews but we almost lost a dear and loving family member because of the out dated and rude manor that things are taken care of in this place.

Impersonal doctor and very rude

Had my cat spayed here. Small, personalized veterinary practice. Found Dr.McNulty & staff to be kind and compassionate, knowledgable and down-to-earth. Reasonably priced services. So happy with the care my kitty received!

Best vet ever! He loves my Jughead bulldog and take very good care of him. He is always concerned about him and loves him!

It's so obvious how much Dr McNulty loves animals. Didn't feel rushed and he took plenty of time to educate and explain our dog's diagnosis and treatment. Lacie at the front desk was so sweet and caring too. Had never been there before and she got us right in. Great place!

I have 2 dogs, and they get such great care when we see Dr. McNulty. He is patient and takes his time with animals and their owners. Highly recommend!
