They were great and offered some other options instead of surgery. They made my cat feel very comfortable. I have also used them in the past with my large dog and they were amazing with him and working with him because he did not like the vet.

We had to rush our rabbit for an emergency visit, and everything about the visit - his treatment / the aftercare was absolutely amazing.

We visited Windcrest on a Saturday night around 10pm when our dog badly broke her toenail. We had a great experience with both the vet tech and the vet who cared for her. Our dog bonded with the vet tech who made sure to check on us while we were waiting for her to be taken back for surgery. The entire experience, from arrival to discharge took about two hours, which felt very reasonable considering other pets were there for emergencies and our dog had to be sedated for the nail to be removed. Overall I was very happy with the level of care they gave my dog, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use this hospital if we faced another emergency.

If you love & care about your pet DO NOT TAKE IT HERE. The only thing this place cares about is money my girlfriend took her cat to there emergency room because he was having breathing problems.so after 4hrs and bloodwork & x-rays & a bill for over 900$ they told her he basically had a cold, bronchitis. So exactly one week later her cat was doing the samething so this time she was able to get him into her vet loving touch well after there x-rays the told he had an inlarged heart.i was furious so I called windcrest & ask to speak to a supervisor they put me on hold for 10mins & came back and told me they were all gone for they day that someone would return my call & they would investigate how the Dr missed it.well 2weeks later & 3 more calls I still havnt got a response. So please take your pet somewere else there are good caring vets out there, loving touch, kirkwood animal hospital anywere but this place

I took my cat there with her eye hanging out. And this Veterinarian wanted between 4 to 5 Thousand dollars and because I'm on SS TDisability and didnt have the funds, she refused to treat my cat and handed her back to me! This Animal hospital is in for the money and are not animals lover This . Veterinarian should not be not professional or should be Practicing in this field. Speaking with other Veterinarian and showing them a picture of my cat eye then all said the same thing, that my cat should of been taking care of. Thanks for Nothing Windcrest animal hospital And under the above question " What do you NOT like about this business? " answer Poor quality, poor value, NOT PROFESSIONAL, NOT RELIABLEand DON'TGIVE A DAMNABOUT ANIMALS,

I love this vet. idk if they're handling things during the pandemic very well but I understand times are crazy. however I emailed like 3 times w very descriptive and lengthy details looking for a simple answer which is what their answering system says and I got back 3 times a clearly automated system saying call to make an appointment. so I called and let it ring so long they hung up so I went online to make an appointment in a month.... so I emailed again and got the same response: "please call to make an appointment " .... I am not mad about anything else besides the fact that I am clearly not being heard. it would be less frustrating if I wasn't being so understanding of the situation and getting the same unsympathetic answer. I still love this vet and their services I will stand by them but I'm frustrated about the way they are handling things during the pandemic. I just have everything handled I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing and I'm just getting vague irrelevant answers.

Windcrest was available to help me through their emergency services when my dog was in significant pain & unable to walk well. I called to let them know I was on my way & they were able to see me & my dog upon arrival - no waiting on a Saturday morning. The nurse & technician were very nice and thorough in the intake & check-up. The doctor was professional, empathetic, listened, answered questions, and offered options for next steps. After bloodwork & an x-ray was taken, the doctor provided a treatment plan & options to consider if this should occur again. Everyone at Windcrest was incredibly nice & helpful. They put both me & my dog at ease at a very stressful time. This was my first interaction with Windcrest & I was highly impressed & recommend them for veterinary services, emergency & on-going. Thank you, Windcrest, for helping my dog feel better as she continues her road to a full recovery.

Unfortunately our only experience with Windcrest was bringing in our 18 year old cat to be put down. The staff was very compassionate and did an excellent job making a really difficult situation bearable. We received hand written cards along with her ashes. I can’t imagine them not not being great for primary care of your pet.

Windcrest was great. They were able to take care of our 9 year old orange tabby who isn’t the happiest with vets. They handled him with care and gentle hands. They provided wonderful service at good prices. And they have been more that communicative with emails, phone calls , and answering all of our questions. Thank you again!

My daughter brought our dog here for emergency care last Sunday night and what a nightmare. The dog was extremely lethargic, could hardly keep her eyes open for the last couple of days, we assume a reaction from a recent dose of Frontline. No other ER was open. The doctor on call did the blood work, found nothing wrong, assumed the dog was in pain (totally not in her demeanor at all), didn't listen to my daughter, and gave the dog a shot of Buprenex...an opioid...for a dog who was lethargic already! The total bill was over $600!!! When they got home, this animal was so stressed out from the shot and breathing so fast, I thought she'd have a heart attack. We've been in contact since and the staff has been extremely sympathetic. The doctor, not so much. We're only looking for a small refund of the unnecessary shot and maybe a portion of the ER services. Nothing. I would NEVER recommend bringing an animal here for emergency services.

i had to put my cat Hope to sleep today after her fight with cancer and i just wanted to say thank you to the amazing vet tech and doctor who took care of her today. they were both so kind and empathetic, i didn’t feel like i needed to put on a brave face. after she passed, the tech who took her out of the room was so gentle and loving with her, it was the last time i ever saw my baby and she held her just like how i would’ve. it really made a difference for the last memory i had of her to be a graceful one. thank you

Ten stars, without a doubt. ... Actually, I have drafted this review at least three times: there are no perfect words. I lost my best friend, who shared with me 14yrs, a move halfway across the country, and lots of late night dance contests. Windcrest were the only ones even available near me during the first wave of the pandemic, and that clearly was exactly where I was supposed to go. The entire Staff, including the awesome Volunteers at the front desk, were solemn but warm, serious and present. They gave me space to understand that this was really happening and only made me talk to give the crucial details. I loved my guy ENTIRELY, always will, and they handled him like fine crystal; as if they knew he was perfect, too. Without knowing anything about us two, Windscrest surrounded us, carried us, and offered a life-changing experience of kindness, professionalism, and humanity.

Windcrest was a great experience all around. Made us feel very welcome and treated our dog like a family member. Dr. DeMarco and Isabel were amazing and very comforting. There have been many follow up calls about our dogs health. I would use them every time!

It’s normally a great place. I took my cat as a emergency and they took a sample of what he has. I waited three weeks I called once the second week hit and once the third week was coming. Front desk when I called were kinda rude and snotty as if they didn’t want to hear about me asking to see if my cats results came back yet. The third time I left a message being straight forward and upfront. Finally the doctor called and gave me my results. To be honest after all the hassle I went through just to get his results I will not be taking my cat here anymore.

No one ever wants to make the trip to the emergency vet. I can not thank the staff at Windcrest Animal Hospital enough for their help with our dog Marley. Marley suffered 2 seizures on a Sunday afternoon, I called and was put on the list so when we arrived our wait time would be minimul based on his condition. Everyone was awesome and they took great care of our Marley!!

I brought my cat in with a high fever two nights in a row to their ER. The second night I was so worried about my little man, but the staff was so kind/friendly/patient. I was very happy with how they handled him gently and answered all my concerned questions. He was treated an extremely timely manner for an ER vet visit in the middle of the night.

Don't go here. Along with the horribly high costs, they cannot fill out paperwork correctly. My friends dog passed away due to age and other complications, and when my friend received what was SUPPOSED to be the dogs ashes and a paw print, she only received the ashes because they did not include the information about the paw print in the papers for the crematorium. They were QUICK to charge her the money for it but couldn't put it on the papers? Horrible. Edit: She also told them multiple times about the paw because they asked multiple times.

My Daughter was on her way to work and passed a turtle in the road that was injured. She didn't know how badly though, so she called us and wanted us to check it out. So my Husband and Son went to look at it. It was in pretty bad shape and suffering. My Vet's office gave me the number to Windcrest Animal Hospital because they deal with exotic animals.. When I called them they said my Husband and Son could bring the turtle there so the poor thing wouldn't have to suffer. Very thankful good people who care.

I live nearly two hours south of Windcrest Animal Hospital. I am a new owner of a leopard gecko and I thought he might be sick. I called five other vet offices around the area, but none were able to see my exotic pet. When I called Windcrest, the receptionist was very nice and helped me set up an appointment right away. She explained everything to me. When it came time for my appointment, I met Dr. Hammill. She was so nice and informative! She helped me with understanding what I need to do for my gecko and gave me handouts. I left a stool sample and they text me the results a few days later. I felt very relieved with the care my gecko received. I would highly recommend this place, especially for exotic pets.

Way to expensive!! If your pet needs to be seen that day and no appointments are available, which they usually are not, you have to go to emergency which is $500 just to be seen. They get you coming and going. These pets are family and it is horrible that you are exploded financially when you are trying to save your pets life. This shows me that they care more about the money than your pet. Awful way to do business when it concerns a pet that is a family member.

I used this vet for the first time in an emergency situation and I feel so lucky to have found them. The doctors were beyond amazing. Unfortunately, my yorkie had to be euthanized, she was really sick and 14 years old, but Windcrest handled the situation with SUCH professionalism, understanding and compassion. I always knew that day would be the worst, but these guys really helped me through. I will bring my new dog here for life.

Dr Dawkins and his team are absolutely wonderful! We took our dog in for surgery recently and they took such great care of her! We trust them with her care because they treat her as if she were their own. Dr. Dawkins saved one if our dog's lives years ago by performing a very delicate surgery. He is so very talented and we love him! We are so grateful!

It came time to put down my dog Wiggles and no matter how many "I'm sorry for your loss" I heard I still can't help but feel that they were insensitive. My mother and I waited an hour for them to call us in saying they were ready and both of us had to desperately use the bathroom by the time we went in and they refused to let us go. I get it with COVID and everything but feel like my time was rushed with my baby because I had to do a dance while I said my goodbyes and I got to a point where I just couldn't hold it anymore and we had to go. Then I had requested her paw print along with her ashes AND THEY CHARGED ME AND NEVER PUT IT ON THE PAPERWORK FOR THE CREMATORY TO DO IT. They issued my refund but I wanted the paw print not the money and now that's something I'll never get to have. I already disliked this vet from previous experiences but they were the closest option open that late and my baby was suffering. They managed to make an already awful experience even worse.

They didn't tell me they were going to be using anastasia on my bird. Which they should've asked me first. Therefore she died because she was not in a condition to have that done. I didn't even find out they did that till after I looked at my email receipt when it was already too late. I'm very heart broken that I let her go to such a place that apparently doesn't care about you or the animal. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had to take our kitty over late last Friday night and even though they were swamped I absolutely felt that they took their time with her and were extremely caring and thorough. Unfortunately, we have experienced quite a few emergency vets in the past few years but I always left feeling rushed and over charged and had little to no answers, but I definitely did not feel that way after this visit. I felt totally at ease taking her home with clear instructions on next steps. Thanks you to the awesome staff for making us feel so at ease especially during these crazy times.
