I tried this vet for my kitten 2 years ago. The vet was wonderful, staff was great. However I didn't stay because they were hellaciously expensive. Like, took-my-breath-away expensive compared to other local vets (who were not known to be cheap!) No complaints about the vet though. My pockets just weren't that deep.

I brought my 3 dogs to Talleyville Veterinary Hospital for the first time last week. Despite the COVID precautions which kept me waiting in the parking lot, the staff all personalized my visit as much as possible and communicated with me frequently both by phone and in person. My dogs were all happy with the attention they received as well. I could not have asked for a better first visit.

I love this office everyone is very professional and polite. They always make adjustments for me and my budgeting concerns. And they really care about my dog Tate! When I speak with the doctor and she is great. Thank you ladies!

We are new pet parents and Talleyville Veterinary Hospital was awesome for our dog's first visit. They handled her so well and answered all of my questions patiently. They were not pushy about treatments and shared all costs up front. I feel very good about trusting them for years to come.

Have been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. The care they provide for every stage of life is wonderful. I don't think they would be 15+ years old now if they hadn't been in such capable hands. Plus I think they love my pets almost as much as I do. Highly recommend

I can't say enough good things about the staff at Talleyville. The techs are very knowledgeable and it's obvious they are animal lovers by the way they treat their furry little patients. And the doctors are amazing. My 13yo cat had developed kidney disease and hyperthyroidism. He was dehydrated and had begun to lose weight when I brought him in just over a month ago. But I'm thrilled to say he's gained back more than a pound due to the medication, supplements and a change in his diet. He's back to his usual chatty self. My little man means a lot to me and I'm grateful for the care and expertise of everyone there. And while there may be less expensive options out there, Talleyville has been invaluable. I would highly recommend!

So far my experience has been very good with Talleyville Veterinary Hospital. We've only been there three times. My puppy, Jenna doesn't seem to like Dr. Hensel. Not too sure why. She does much better with Dr. Stoltzfus. I t is possible that she was uncomfortable at first due to it being her first time there. We were in for her follow up exam and shots after I adopted her from the Delaware Humane Association. We had to go back the same day because she had a reaction the the distemper shot. When we were with Dr. Hensel, Jenna would not willingly go up to her or the vet tech. When we went back she was first seen by a tech by the name of Nicola I think..? Who Jenna had no issue going up to or with the tech taking her temperature. Dr. Stoltzfus also gave her a few shots for the swelling and pain from the reaction the distemper. Jenna had was completely fine with her the whole time as well. Where as with Dr. Hensel I had to sit on the floor and hold Jenna still in my lap in order for her to let the vet get close. Based on that interaction I will avoid having Jenna seen by Dr. Hensel. In the two months I've had Jenna I have never seen her so afraid of anyone. Dog's may not speak English, but as far as I'm concerned Jenna told me that day that she didn't like that vet, and I will listen. If we hadn't been back the same day I may not have ever seen the difference in her interaction between the two vets. Maybe she was just nervous because it was her first time there, but I don't think so.

I just had to have my 17 year old Japanese Chin, Haiku, put down. We had called ahead to find out how much it would cost and that was how much we paid. No extra hidden fees and they didn't try to sell us any extra unnecessary procedures or anything. From the minute we walked in the door the staff were very kind and respectful even more so than the staff at Christiana hospital when my father passed. I would highly recommend them for any of your pets need if you value having people care about your pet as if it were there own. Thank you to the whole staff for being so compassionate in such a difficult time

Kathryn Stoltzfus is a crazy good vet. In that order. But seriously, she knows her stuff and has taken good care of all of my dogs for many years.

I just love all at Talleyville Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Stoltzfus and technicians and staff all make my little Penny Pearl feel comfortable. She is a little scardy cat and I know she knows that doctor and all just love her. She gets the best veterinary care, and I have had cats for 65 years and been to many practices. Thank you for making Penny just a little less scared and for helping to keep her healthy. Cathie White and Penny Pearl

Just recently started going to Talleyville Veterinary Hospital for my 15 year old dog. Being an older dog with a lot more health issues, they took very good care of her and helped give her better quality of life. They are a smaller place that feels like your local family vet. We are forever grateful to them and would recommend them to anyone.

Every staff member truly cares about our pets as though they were their own. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the cost, but that's what we get for having multiple pets!

My husband and I brought our dying cat Nutmeg to Tallyville because our regular vet didn't have time to see her. Despite our showing up out of the blue with a very sick animal that they didn't even know, the entire staff was kind, compassionate, and professional. They helped us help our furbaby over the Rainbow Bridge and she passed comfortably and in my arms. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and even the doctor had tears in her eyes. I can't speak highly enough about everyone at Tallyville Animal Hospital, and they are now where we will be taking our other pets to.
