Visited today for a check up with our 3 year old PWD. Everyone was really nice. Very attentive, including cleaning our dogs ears and cutting his nails. Dr. Davis was very thorough and talked us through everything. He knew exactly how to handle our dog and be gentle. We didn’t feel rushed. I definitely recommend this vet.

Love the entire staff - doctors are great at listening to concerts and trusted with the care of all our furry family.

I don’t recommend Davis Animal Hospital to anyone. My dog was very ill. It was an emergency and the doctor refused to see my dog because he was closing soon. My dog was a patient there for 10 years. They don’t care about your pet. I was told to go to the Newtown or Stratford animal ER. I instead called a different vet in town and she took us in immediately. She even stayed past closing to care for my boy.

Dr. Davis came outside after examining both dogs for the first time and gave a most thorough report. The staff is efficient, friendly and professional. I think we made a good choice in choosing Davis as our new vet.

Greatest vets in the area. I come from Sandy Hook to bring my pets to Dr. Celella. The staff is phenomenal. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Highest recommendations! ????

PEOPLE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL !!!!! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY , THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANIMALS ! I WAS WITH THEM FOR 7 YEARS WITH 3 DOG'S. I HAVE LOST ONE TO CANCER. NOW MY 2 DOGS HAVE CANCER, THAT HAS GONE UNDIAGNOSED/UNTREATED. I REACHED OUT WITH QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT SYMPTOMS MY DOG WAS EXPERIENCING. THE DR. WANTED NOTHING TO DO WITH IT, HE MAILED BOTH DOGS FILES TO ME, AND DROPPED THEM AS PATIENTS. MY DOGS HAVE BEEN TREATED BY THEM SINCE THEY WERE 3WEEKS OLD. WE TOOK THEM TO A NEW ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND FOUND OUT THEY HAVE CANCER

Never went inside. I was parked and about to go in when I watched a man come out and start attacking a person in a car. Screaming that he owns the parking lot. The car moved and the man chased the person swearing and screaming . He returned to the building as I was leaving. I would not trust my dog with whoever that was. I will stay with my vet in New Preston

The loveliest veterinarian's hospital with the most compassionate, skilled staff members - from the front desk to the procedure room, bring your pet to this clinic and you'll be assured of excellent service delivered with kind-hearted staff.

Davis Companion is staffed by an exceptional team of compassionate and knowledgeable people. Would never consider placing the care of my fur-babies elsewhere.

I've gone to Dr. Davis for many years and he is the first Doctor to tell me when "Not" to put an animal down. He was honest to tell me that even though an animal had kidney failure, he/she still had plenty of time let and could live longer with medication and special food. He was right and I got at least 5 more years with my pet because of him.

Dr. Celella is awesome. He took care of my cat today and it was a great experience. She doesn't like people. He and his tech were able to handle her with no stress and took great care of her. Very happy.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Bring my dogs from half an hour away. They are respectful of both the dogs and me.

I've been going to Davis for years and I've bounced around with a couple of different vets in the practice. My mom, swears by Dr. Davis and prefers him over the others. Myself, I could care less because I don't want to wait to get into Dr. Davis, and as long as the other vets do a good job then I'm happy. Recently, our dog became really sick (we knew he had diabetes but something else had begun to take ahold of him) and we knew it was going to a place of no return. I called up Davis because her vet a) wanted an extraordinary amount of money to put the dog down ($500+) and b) didn't really seem to care to answer questions/know the answers. We obviously wanted him checked before we went thru this decision and as hard as that phone call was to make the customer service we received was amazing. Not only did they talk us thru absolutely everything, nd didn't treat us like we were wrong in our decision but they also got him in next day. The price for the procedure was literally 1/3 of what the other vet wanted to charge and he was going to be examined before the decision was made. Unfortunately, during that exam, we found out that what Petco (Banfield Animal Hospital) had told us to do in regards to the insulin being given, when to do/ how to do it and etc. was completely wrong! In the end, the day went as we expected but, at least, the vet was honest with his opinion on what to do and what could be expected. It wasn't "ugly" and the staff was great towards us. I took care of the payment and they did everything quickly and as discreetly as possible. Obviously, no one really wants to pay when the procedure is done. When his ashes came in they still gave us the same respect. This experiences really opened my eyes to how much they do for their customers and for their customer's family members. Great place... I won't pick a different vet!

Best. Used the Vet in Southbury and was very disappointed. Now I drive the distance to Davis.
