Wagging Tails Pet Resort And Spaw Wolcott, Connecticut

I have used Wagging Tails on and off for years now. I had a bad experience with them not long ago, an am visit was not completed until after 11am, but gave them a second chance this weekend. They were scheduled to do 2 evening visits on a Friday and an am visit on Saturday. The first visit went off without a hitch, Emily is the absolute best! The late pm visit was an issue because the sitter didn’t have the key to the house so left a message that she would not be able to complete the visit. I spoke with her and we were able to get that taken care of. However as I type this I am still awaiting a return call from Wagging Tails regarding the AM visit that has yet to be completed today, it is 11:30 am. So my dog was fed twice last night and has yet to be let out this morning. There will be no third chance given. I do not have any confidence in this company anymore. Update: 12:15 and the am visit has not been completed.

The girls at the front are always so sweet and helpful. It’s also the easiest DIY dog wash I’ve been to. They provide everything! This helps me so much! Thank you!

Such a great facility and staff. My plans were canceled last minute for the holiday and Wagging Tails fit our baby in and took really good care of her! She didn’t even want to leave she had so much fun. Will use again and will always recommend.

My pup Rain loves daycare. She is also less anxious after boarding than previous places which is great for us paw parents to know she was not alone much of the time.

I was nervous bringing my puppy for the first time, but they reassured me they would go slow introducing my pup to the other dogs. When my pup came home he was passed out for hours! The real test was the following session. When I pulled up to the building he was getting so excited he couldn’t sit still. When I brought him inside he couldn’t go to play fast enough! They send a report card (the cutest thing ever) and in all the pictures he looks as happy as can be. My boy enjoys it, so they get a thumbs up from me.

I appreciated them being open and allowing DIY dog wash. The price of $25 was pretty absurd. Actually totally absurd. Then there was the 20 minutes (no exaggeration) of web form filling, waiver signing (x3) before I could even pay and wash the dog... Especially when I found that I needed to clean out the sink of previous dogs' fur clumps, then had to clean out the sink drain of whatever the heck was stopping it up. Then chose some nice shampoo from the collection of mostly unlabeled bottles (Windex!?! was clearly labeled...huh?). So be the end the pup was smelling great. Then the dryer... This appears to have been an industrial strength, unheated, extremely loud air mover. Scared my dog to the point of tremors, so I opted not to use it on him. Grabbed a folded towel from the clean towel cabinet... threadbare, stained multiple colors. Yep it dried him. Nope it did not justify the $25 pricetag. I appreciate the opportunity. We resolved a dirty dog emergency. But I will not be back. Every other wash-your -own place in the state is cheaper, easier, and nicer. Every one. ..... And now based on their extremely childish and unapologetic reply I received by text, they drop from 2 stars to 1. Yeeesh.

We really enjoyed our first experience working with Wagging Tails for boarding our not so easy to work with pup! They communicated effectively and addressed all my concerns. They offer great options to help with our dogs stay and make it better for him! Especially the nature walks!

I found the employees to be very kind and helpful.

Cassidy loves her time at Wagging Tails. She always comes home good and tired from all the playtime!

We’ve had such a good experience so far. Staff is friendly and dog aware. Phoebe has a fun time, the other dogs are nice from what we’ve seen. We have also boarded her and that was a good experience. Busy dogs have a great time and get exercised and socialized.

My pups were so exhausted when they came home! The staff are very friendly and you can tell they definitely love animals! I needed them last minute and they were more than accommodating.

I did a self service dog wash. The site was a little difficult to manage but was able to call them and they got it sorted really quickly. They were very friendly and helpful.

Thank you for taking Cody & Sophia on such short notice! I really appreciated the pictures that you sent me while we were away . . . it put my mind at ease that they were having fun & in good hands!! This was their trial run since they will be staying with you guys again in 2 weeks for our daughter's wedding . . . I feel relieved now that they will be looking forward to coming back again!!! They came home tired so that's a good thing!!!! Thank you for taking such good care of my 2 precious fur babies! Just 1 question that I forgot to ask when I picked them up was how were they with other dogs?????????????

I have been incredibly happy with Waggin Tails kennel and daycare. Their drop off and pick up times are great and the employees are always nice and very helpful. I have used them several times for both daycare and overnight kennel stays for my dog. The dog facilities are fabulous and I would highly recommend Waggin Tails if you are looking for a daycare or kennel for your dog.

I love Wagging Tails. They have a professional staff and they watch over my dogs. I like all that they have to offer for activities and the size of the facility allows for the dogs a lot of room to run and play. It’s a “pawtastic” place

We just got back today and my dogs had such a good time. They loved all the extras and stayed cage free. I was grateful for the update on how they were doing on the daily report card and the flexibility of the pick up times. Thanks for taking good care of my dachshunds; we will definitely be coming back there!

Cancelled reservation for boarding on 8/19 awaiting refund by owner who is the only one who can do it Owner contacted me directly and apologized. Very thankful for their care for our animals for 15 years

We took our dog for her first try-it dock diving experience this weekend and she loved it. The trainer Krista was very patient. She assessed our dog’s abilities, provided a safe learning experience and helped her build her self confidence. We will definitely go back.

They took very good care of our Froston. He was their side kick all week. He made friends with other dogs on his outings. They really do a great job. Love the photos and report cards.. We have been with them since 2003. Recommend highly. The Napoli Family

I boarded my two dogs for 3 nights with Wagging Tails in West Hartford. They came home clean, and tired from playing all the time. They were well cared for and I would definitely board my dogs here again.

Wagging Tails did a great job of bathing, and combing out our girl. They accommodated us quickly, while others had months waiting periods. She's an older Shepherd, and the process has to move along, as she has weak hips. She smells, and looks great. The staff is caring, responsible, friendly, efficient. Most of all our girl was at ease, which made us happy. Our sincere thanks to all.

Our 8 month old English Shepard puppy somehow has come back more mellow after eight days at the resort. Curious. Perhaps Zephyr got extra special care but anyway he is less demanding than 8 days ago and we didn’t ask for any training so... all good, thanks!

My dog seemed happy and healthy after staying with them for a few days. I received daily reports and the staff was very friendly. Recommend!
