We had a wonderful experience with Claudia doing both group classes and at home private sessions (both in person and virtual) working on basic obedience and specific reactivity for our rescue pup. Claudia's approach is designed to set you and your dog up for success. She's helps you understand why dogs do certain things (like how stressors and triggers build) and she is provides really practical solutions for working on everything from basic skills, "tricks", to more complex situations like reactivity. As a first time dog owner I had a lot to learn and Claudia was a wonderful resource! I would 100% go back to her for future dog training needs. We have been training with Claudia of Naturally Pawsitive since our one year old dog was a tiny puppy. We sought out private training as our cute furball felt the need to guard his treats in a way that was most unfriendly. He (and we) needed help before an accident happened. Claudia is incredibly knowledgeable about dogs, specifically those with behavioral issues such as reactivity. She gave us simple, yet effective tools to use on our dogs that have helped immensely. We have done classes with her and private in-home lessons and both have been beneficial. After interviewing three other trainers I was very fortunate to find Claudia. She knows dogs! Through our first consultation she got to know Penelope and was able to develop methods that were specific to Penelope as an individual. The positive approach is the way to go. As first time dog owners navigating the sometimes overwhelming experience of training a puppy, we were looking for a trainer who would be supportive, patient, and encouraging as well as knowledgeable. Claudia is all of these. We began private virtual training sessions with her when our pup was 12 weeks old and are now on our second set of sessions. Claudia is able to explain and demonstrate each task clearly, answer all questions, and make corrections in a completely non-judgmental way. She breaks things down into very manageable steps and provides links to video demonstrations and also written sheets that walk you through each activity. The virtual format via Zoom is surprisingly effective. Claudia is also great about responding very promptly with feedback to videos we send to her in between our sessions. This allows us to make quick adjustments to our behaviors without having to wait until the next session. We highly recommend Claudia.

Claudia is a fantastic positive reinforcement trainer. She is very knowledgeable and is able to give clear concise education to pet owners. She has helped us through resource guarding issues with our 8 month old puppy. We were given easy to follow, manageable exercises to work on between sessions and have seen such great progress.
