We have been bringing our dogs to Dr. Ostrover for years now, wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The entire staff at TAH is friendly, professional, and caring. Look forward to each appointment.

Everyone was awesome. It was the first visit to any veterinarian office that our dog was comfortable. Normally she can't wait to leave.

Pretty fair prices, at least for exotics in CT. Super friendly staff, very patient, they obviously care both about you financially and your pets. The vet even actively advised me not to jump the gun on tests which is definitely a good sign that they're not in it just for money. They even let me bring another animal to keep the one getting checked out company. The only thing I can say that some people might not like is one of the vets brings a really beautiful, well behaved German Shepard to work so if you're scared of big, energetic, dogs then this might not be the best vet for you. Also, they do pretty much everything including prescribing medication and distributing it in-house, treating just about any legal pet in the state (no monkeys ofc but, yeah, exotics), and doing surgery.

Very professional, warm and friendly staff. They make you and your pet feel special and at home. Will definitely recommend to friends.

They were able to accommodate us right before Thanksgiving when our regular vet and ER vets were unavailable. Very thorough but a little more pricey.

I changed from Countryside to this vet in 2020 because they had the resourced and flexibility/availability to care for one of my dogs who was in kidney failure. To date, took my other dogs for routine care and management of long-term conditions. Overall, good service and caring team. My experience is that they have been flexible with appointments and providing options for care. Only down is that their pricing is higher than my last vet.

My pet tested positive for a potentially serious disease and Trumbull Animal Hospital failed to report the results until OVER A YEAR LATER, casually mentioning it in a wellness check — despite the fact that we had seen their doctors during two other appointments in between the original test and that wellness check. On several occasions, I have had to correct doctors who were reading from the wrong chart and subsequently putting my pet at risk of receiving improper care. The doctors at Trumbull Animal Hospital are inattentive to the point that it jeopardizes the health of their patients. Do not use this practice.

Animal technicians and vets are helpful and welcoming. All expenses were clearly discussed and approved beforehand so there are never surprise charges when my cats go for visits.

My appointment was on time and the staff was friendly. They listened to everything and are great at education on what is needed for your pet.

I can’t thank the staff at TAH enough for their compassion, understanding, and great service. Our dog, Bear, seemed to have an upset stomach before making a dramatic turn which had me nervous he could be obstructed. TAH heard my concerns and took Bear in right away as an emergency visit. The situation was especially stressful because we were in middle of a nor’easter with torrential downpours and I had our 3 month old in the car with Bear for the first time in order to get him cared for asap. Bear is a large and energetic dog, so I told the staff it’s hard for me to manage him on leash and the baby at the same time - the horrible weather and needing to manage a dog and baby together are all “personal problems” but TAH was beyond accommodating. A tech came outside to grab Bear from my car in the pouring rain and did it all with a smile. Dr. Tarsi was extremely kind on the phone discussing care options for Bear and after he was treated, he went from seeming lifeless and mopey, to busting out the hospital doors and acting like his rambunctious self again. Thank you again to all of the staff; we have always had great experiences at TAH but this one especially deserves to be shared.

Trumbull Animal Hospital is amazing! They were able to get my cat in quickly for a first appointment. The vet tech's were amazing and the doctor was very transparent and explained everything in detail.

The vet was super nice and answered any questions that I had. The price was also great and they even gave my sphynx cat an ear cleaning free of charge.

Moved in March of last year and had a horrible experience with a animal hospital in Shelton. Had to look elsewhere and found this place and they are heaven sent. Dr.H is amazing, caring and she explains everything to you clearly and throughly. My dog unfortunately has a lot of medical issues so having a reliable veterinarian is very important for my family. You will not be disappointed with the service and the compassion for your animal❤️!

The vet was kind, yet rushed. The tech said I couldn't wait in the room after the vet and another tech said I could...she told me I could sit in the room across the hall...the euthanasia room. Are u friggin kidding me? I'm crying because this is my 3rd vet visit in 7 days and I'm worried I'm going to lose my dog and she tells me to go sit in there? Never again.

Dr. DeFabrizio is wonderful with my cats. She makes you feel comfortable and really cares about the health of your pets... Great Place and I would highly recommend this animal hospital

The worse response! Receptionist was rude and passive aggressive. I took my dog there for physical and did not like how money hungry this establishment is and the visit was rushed. Walmart Rx has tried 4x to have Rx approved. When I asked the receptionist what the problem was she said we only received it today.

Very professional, kind, and caring.. what I loved the most was how one on one they are with not just you but your pet.

Nice, friendly staff. Gave honest advice about vaccinations and I didn’t feel like I was getting the upsell routine. Will continue going here for my pet’s veterinary needs. (She did call my boy a little overweight though ????, ok he might not have a waist????)

Dr. Ostrover took the time to explain and answer questions. He knows my dog and offered advice which I very much appreciated.

Very few exotic vets in the area, and I was referred to Trumbull Animal Hospital when my longtime vet retired. I was not disappointed. The place is clean, staff is wonderful and friendly, and the Veterinarian is knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with me. During COVID, the safety protocols were exemplary. Highly recommend!

Dr. Robertson and the entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, caring, professional and easy to talk to. My dog I feel is in great hands????????????????

Super friendly staff. My puppy is always treated so nicely at Trumbull Animal Hospital.

Unfortunately if was with a heavy heart for our visit to the Trumbull Animal Hospital. Had to take my mother who is currently celebrating, or trying to at least, celebrate her 75th birthday down here in order to have her 20yo cat, beat friend, and “son” put to sleep as he was suffering from liver cancer/failure. The staff and doctors were wonderful as always. That’s why when in 3-4 weeks she’ll be back in with her newest addition to her life.

All Vets, Techs, receptionist very nice. Clean, organized well run.

After moving from NY I had to find a vet I could trust with the care of my 2 dogs and cat. I had a fantastic vet in NY and I am very very selective with my vets. Trumbull Animal Hospital came very highly recommended by a dear friend who is as equally as picky as I am. My dogs saw Dr. DeFabrizio and my concerns about a new vet were very quickly set aside. She is an outstanding vet, very thorough and answer my many many many questions. It is still a bit of a hike from my current home, but a good vet is worth the trip! I look forward to working with this QUALITY Veterinarian in the years to come.

My dogs have been coming here for 6 years. I love the individual attention they get and how nice the staff treats them.

So happy to have found this place, Dr. Hellthaler was so kind and answered every question about our dogs health/care. The price of the wellness check was very fair, would recommend this place to anyone in the area!
