I went to here regarding the health of my pet zebra finch. She was lethargic and appeared to not be doing well. Dr. Piper informed me that she had a hernia, but was fine otherwise. He gave her two injections, which doubled the price of the visit -- three days later she died. Not only did I pay twice the amount than anticipated, she was not well as informed and I am not sure if the injections caused her death. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET BIRDS HERE - I WILL NOT GO BACK!

Like this place very much. Dr. Piper is great with ferrets and hamsters. Highly recommend...

The most caring vets live here. My pets have been visiting for forty plus years, they treat me like family and I love them for caring as they do.

Dr. Wong, Dr Pieper and staff are the best! We have been going here for years. We recently had a huge health scare with our older lab. Dr Wong and the Team worked tirelessly to get him back to better health. Happy to say that within a week we were able to bring him home and he has made great progress ever since. They are the best at what they do and I truly Thank them from the bottom of my heart for saving him.

I brought my 8yr old cat in to Dr. Pieper, the day AFTER taking him to shoreline emergency vet hospital in Shelton...had huge probs there, from putting wrong diagnosis on papers, wanting to charge me $800+ for an EAR HEMATOMA (big swollen almost to bursting ear). Went to Doc Pieper today(next day) and we were in and out, ear drained perfectly, NO HUGE BILL, and he was so kind and sympathetic to my cat garfield. We had been at shoreline over 5 hours, and ended up leaving as they refused to drain it, and Bill was ridiculous. My cat is now in much less pain, and may have surgery Friday if it swells up again. All staff were friendly and I’ll never go anywhere else again! Kelley G.

I cant say enough about Dr. Pieper and his team! They are kind, passionate, caring and understanding of how important my little boy jasper was to me. They took care of jasper's bunny teeth monthly for many years, supported with his surgery and was by his side when he slowly hopped into bunny heaven. For the past 6 years they have been amazing and the past 3 days they have supported me and jasper daily and did everything to get him through. Although he became tired of his 5 day battle, I was very blessed to know he was in the care of Dr. Pierper and his amazing team. They never gave up or lost hope! Thank you ❤

Dr. Wong is a wonderful Veterinarian. She explains everything thoroughly. It is the only place that I would ever bring my dogs to.

11/21/20 - I called with an emergency situation and the receptionist guy didn’t ask me if I can hold, he just made me wait. Then he gets back on the line and I start to explain my situation with my cat & he cuts me off mid sentence to ask if my pet was ever seen there before, I answer no and he immediately says we are not accepting new patients right now and hangs up on me!!!!! VERY RUDE ! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! MY CAT MAY BE HAVING A FALSE PREGNANCY OR MIGHT HAVE AN INFECTION AND HE DID NOT CARE TO LISTEN !!! He could have listened and advices me on what to do or where to go but no JUST HANGS UP!

Not an exotic vet. I even called to make sure and they said they do treat Bearded Dragons. It’s really difficult right now during covid to see a vet. Can’t speak with them or ask any questions or explain anything. My Bearded Dragon has every symptom for a Respiratory Infection. They took him inside and brought him out 15 minutes later and said he’s fine and he’s overheating. We had no electricity so it’s impossible for him to be overheating without any of his lights or heat pad. At another vet now and hoping he makes it.

Dr. Pieper is great with my birds. Staff are always friendly and caring.

Left someone else’s dog in a crate with no water for hours. Doing a construction job right next door and seen the whole thing. If nothing was said who knows how long the dog would have been heaving. Pay attention folks to who you have care for your loved ones.

I took my cat Helena get her Spay at B.A.H. by Dr.Piper he did a FANTASTIC job. She has healed very well and it seems like there is going to be little to no scaring at all, It looks seamless. I always recommend people to Barnum Animal Hospital, and will continue to bring my animals to Dr. Piper

Since I discovered Dr Wong & Dr. Pieper they have been what any Dr. Vet or human should be. Professional, passionate, caring and constant professionals. And they hire staff the same way! I've never once visited & found anyone talking personal business on their phones ignoring customers and treating you like today's customer oriented businesses email, Facebook.

All my Pets go here. Never disappointed . Dr Pie per is great and caring Doc.,.all staff shows they care for their patients .

It was totally heartbreaking to find out our lovely dog Rose Michelle had bladder cancer at 5 years of age which had spread to her small and large intestines. I cannot thank the staff and especially Dr. Piper for making her last hours with us only what we would want when it's time to take our last breath. Dr. Piper clearly is up front with information, no hidden fees, no BS and a heart Midas would be envious of. His gentle touch, his soothing voice, his love for animals, his kindness to us will always be in the forefront of my mind as I walk in there again for all my babies that need well or sick visits. Trust is hard in life, this trust in all at this pet hospital came with a cost of a life, but its sealed but heartfelt thanks and a true knowing for life. And a forever customer. Thank you Dr. PIPER and your caring staff for all you do, for all you've done.

I know Dr. Pieper well. He took care of my cat when he was still in his Bridgeport location. Now many years later plus a better location in Stratford...he and Dr. Wong have grown into a compassionate, veterinary hospital able to handle a variety of animals with complex illnesses. I am more than satisfied with their capabilities and knowledge of anatomy to handle whatever emergency comes thru their doors. Birds, cats, dogs, turtles and reptiles.
