Best choice we ever made , our baby had a infection after being neutered by a discount clinic so we called Southington veterinary and we got excellent service & put at ease , that was 3 yrs. ago . Even during the height of the pandemic they were there to do a wellness check and to deal with a cough. We went and had another check up last week and still received excellent service, friendly, caring & attentive. They explained everything in plain English. We wouldn't go anywhere else , Thank you to the staff my Dom wouldn't go anywhere else!

Everyone at Southington Vet is so kind. They make an effort to make me and my dog feel welcome and comfortable. I moved about 30 minutes away but I will still continue to come to Southington for all my pets vet needs!!

My chihuahua mix and I are new in town and he had a tick on his cheek that I was unable to remove. Southington Veterinary welcomed us and a technician successfully removed the tick. We're going back in a few weeks to fully establish Boomerang as a client there. Thank you!

Dr. M and staff are amazing. They offered I could drop off my cat. My cat is not feeling well. Dr did examination, blood work. She called me explained everything.

This is the best vet I have ever been to. I had alot of trouble finding a vet that seemed trustworthy and professional, this place is a god-send. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and has excellent bed-side manner. They made my cats feel very comfortable. It was very clean and the different animals were kept in separate rooms so my cats didn't have to smell/see dogs. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and caring and always follow up to make sure my cats are doing well. I recommend them to anyone in the area, even if it is a little farther drive.

I had to switch vets and found Southington Vet Assoc. Staff is very friendly. The services are affordable. I'm very happy of the care my little furbaby got yesterday. We've found our new vet! Thank you!

I've been using Southington Veterinary for 20+ years and have always been more than satisfied with the care they have given to my pets. We will be moving out of state and will miss the great care they have give us over the years.

After reading positive reviews about this place, I decided to bring my new puppy. In every interaction, I found them unprofessional and lacking in knowledge and compassion. A few red flags (mentioned below) arose before I finally decided we would not be returning. 1.) when inquiring about spay, Dr said, with a laugh, that the time of surgery varies; “sometimes it’s hard to find the freaking thing” 2.) Same Dr told me my dog would need one limes shot. When I spoke to the receptionist later that day, I was told it was actually two. 3.) my dog had a negative reaction to the first lines shot (shaking and throwing up upon return home) and when I brought her back in to be checked on, the Dr said “it could be the vaccine or it could just be excitement from the car ride” 4.) every time I speak to someone at this vet they mispronounce my dogs name. It’s not that hard. They should get it right after ten times correcting. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Great location. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. All the doctors are excellent. Difficult getting through by phone. They always, always put you on hold when you call. Our time is valuable too. Waiting 10 minutes in the car while on hold is crazy & this has been going on BEFORE Covid. The front desk needs improvement.

The staff at Southington Veterinary Associates is friendly, caring, and professional. It is obvious they all love animals and go out of their way to say hello each time we have a visit. Dr. Mazzucola is the best - she takes her time to listen to concerns. She explains things thoroughly and clearly. I trust her 100%...

Very caring group of people and great veterinarians. I used Dr. Vatelli and just think he was great and I respect him for his knowledge and love of animals. He was very good with my kitty Kayla - and for that I am thankful.

My cat had been a patient here since 2011 until about a few years ago. We discovered today from an internal medicine specialist at an exceptional animal hospital that she was misdiagnosed with Asthma while she was a patient at SVA. Over the course of a few years her breathing had worsened and it was still not taken seriously. If SVA actually took the time to do further testing, we wouldn’t have had to make two emergency appointments with a specialist this week, have her undergo multiple procedures and have her labs sent out to learn that she may have Lymphoma that may not be treatable. I don’t want a response from SVA trying to defend themselves and to try to make themselves look better than they are. You are a sorry excuse for an animal facility and in my cats honor, I will do everything in my power to defer people from coming your way.

They are nice to deal with, the office is busy especially with Covid going on , you cannot go inside they come to your car to get your dog or cat , so it takes a while, been going there for years very happy with there services.

Loving loyal and caring. I read some of the other reviews. I find when one presents a problem they had, a potential solution is more appropriate then just ambushing the entire establishment. I can't figure out how to respond to those who shared their experiences, but if the experience was that bad, why not confront them. Reading some of these reviews are just hateful..not constructive. I have no right to censor because this is freedom of speech..I'm just suggesting. But WOW if any of that is reality based. Bill at the front desk is the absolute best. Bill is genuine..honest..caring and considerate. I feel relief and confident knowing he is advocating for the best patient care possible!
