The Vets here are amazing, very nice personable people. Each time I bring my dog in they are so friendly and always make sure all of my questions are answered to my understanding. The Vets themselves are the only reason I continue to bring my dog here. The staff on the other hand is another story, most of them I have felt with are very rude and maybe they are just always stressed and having a bad day but I always sense unnecessary attitude from the staff over the phone.other than that I love thisnplace. Just wish they would hire new staff.

I’ve taken my dogs here since they were puppies and their service has gotten increasingly bad, to the point where their manager treated us horribly last time we came here. They don’t genuinely care for your pet and just horrible customer service altogether. This was the last time with them, will be taking my dogs to a more diligent vet where they actually care.

Horrible vet, they don’t care about your pet at all. Don’t go here unless you want to be mistreated.

My dog Tess had a heart murmur that would eventually be terminal . Dr Haviar was amazing along with staff. I took her to Florida this fall so she could enjoy her last 5 months in pleasant weather. Any time I had a question I would leave message and Dr Haviar would get back to me and treat us like family. He was amazing. At this stage of the game Im in Florida so there were no fees involved just a good person caring for a former customer in need. Absolutely amazing. I can't say enough about him. I brought my dog in, they said everything was okay just a little anti-inflammatory medication and all would be well. I called the following day, stated something wasn’t right and was told the vet would call. I spoke to the vet and they said “she needs surgery” and they sent an estimate. Mind you they never did any X-rays. The following week, I brought her back, they said it was the left leg not the right and we went back and forth they brought her back in and said the right was worse than the left but continue the anti-inflammatory she just needed to lose weight and again no imaging was taken. It was bilateral issue with her knees and would worsen overtime. They advised to feed her half a cup of dog food a day. I then decided to bring her back to my original vet over 40 minutes away. I just left the visit to find out yes they were right at rocky hill it is bilateral however with the X-rays it showed her hips never fully developed and that an orthopedic would definitely need to be involved as the weight doesn’t help the issue but another issue is her hips. They also said that half a cup of dog food was not enough. They also mentioned with anti-inflammatory meds they need to check blood work as it can affect their kidney/liver functions especially the amount that is given. Needless to say, the amount of time calling rocky hill, taking time out of work, and the bills I paid was not worth it. I transferred her care now completely to her original vet. There’s plenty of more but rocky hill was quick to schedule a surgery without X-rays and then tell me she didn’t need it she just needed to lose the weight when in reality if they actually did the imaging they would have found what her now vet has. They also never mentioned anything about checking her labs to make sure that the medication wasn’t affecting her kidney/liver.

Doc Haviar and his staff have always been there for all our pets and foster’s needs. His personality goes beyond caring for you and your pets. His staff have always been friendly and attentive to answering every call and and work with you and their fees are not as outrageous as other vet clinics

Dr. Haviar has treated my rescue animals for sick care, preventative care, emergency surgery and spay and neuter surgery. All care was administered with expertise, kindness and compassion. He is a vet who truly cares about animals. Thank you for excellent care.

I rescued a pup from a friend of mine almost 9 years ago. He had a freak accident that broke his femur 3/4 of the way up to his hip, and at the time he was my friend's pup and he was struggling to find a vet that would work with his finances as well as get him the best care available since he wad only 4 months old. The staff and Dr's at Rocky Hill weren't about to save his leg (only because it had been 10 days from the time of the accident, to the surgery) but gave him the best chance at a "normal"life. My friend was unable to care for him being a now handicapped dog but I took him home and became his new mama (although the technicians who helped him would've gladly taken him home too). My dog would get so excited when you'd ask "wanna go see the girls at the vet" and run for his leash, knowing he'd be getting lots of love and to see his friends. I loved the amount of care they took towards their clients and patients so much, I eventually went to work there for almost 2 years before I moved out of state. I would highly recommend anyone to see Dr. Havier and his staff for the best care that won't break the bank and cause you to sell your first born. Thank you SO much to my awesome former colleagues and keep up the great work! We miss you. - Julie &Zeke

thank you for professional and high quality service. ... dedicated, always available, average priced, courteous and accurate in diagnosis! ..... Haviar did all those pit-bulls New Year’s day that needed care. Was in the news. Who else would commit to this holiday in that weather? We are proud to call Haviar and his family / co workers our family lifetime vet.

My experience with AHRH has been great. All the doctors my pets have seen at this vet have been very attentive, knowledgeable and have always made my pets feel comfortable, especially recently with how I'm not able to be inside with them because of Covid. Their communication on the phone at appointments has been great. Although, leaving my pets inside makes me uneasy at times, I know they're in great hands and the vet/staff are trying their best to keep themselves and others safe. Best vet around!

I’ve been taking my dogs to AHRH for years now. Everyone from the Vets, techs to the reception staff is always attentive, prompt to call back and fill meds and (especially now not being able to go into appointments with them), communicate issues, treatments etc. We lost one of our Shepherds to cancer and everyone was so kind, compassionate and gave us time to grieve and say goodbye. ♥️ We trust our babies are in great hands here!

DONT GO TO THIS VET!!! WORST VET EVER, SERIOUSLY LOOK AT ALL THE BAD REVIEWS, THEY ARE CARELESS... NEGLIGENT, NOR DO THEY ADMIT WHEN THEY MESS UP,,, THEY DONT FOLLOW UP WITH YOU OR YOUR PETS WELL BEING!!! THE OFFICE MANAGER ALWAYS FAKES HER SYMPATHY AND IS SO SARCASTIC WITH IT. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU SEEK ANYWHERE ELSE BESIDES HERE FOR YOUR ANIMALS NEEDS!

Every business is going to occasionally have customers with a bad experience. I have had great experiences with RH over the past 5 years. Dr. Kristen Haviar has always been attentive to my dogs needs and medical conditions. I have brought my dog to RH in need of critical care and was quickly and properly diagnosed and referred out for a higher level of care. The staff at RH has always been welcoming to me and I have never experienced any of the issues being reviewed recently. My dog requires meds and I’m at RH frequently and give my opinion and rating on recent experiences as well. Keep up the good work guys!

Had an appointment for 7/31/2020 with a vet tech for vaccines. Missed the appointment due to an emergency. Tried to rebook 1 week later and they said I would have to book an exam with vet for vaccines costing at least another 200 dollars. Due to Covid I do not have the extra money at this time. I have spent thousands of dollars there with my 3 dogs over the last 10 years. I asked for my dogs records and will never go back. My dog was only 5 days past due for her yearly exam. They don’t care about you or your dogs, only about money. The staff was incredibly rude to me. Find another vet!

Just your typical vet that’s out for your money and no genuine care for addressing your pet(s) needs... was informed that my dog would get refill on a allergy med prescription but now they want to charge for animal visit. Allergy is allergy, not much will change by a “visit”... when all they will do is just to give the same medicine over and over. You’d think businesses would be more mindful with how things are going this year... but shows a lot... you lost a customer for that!

I began taking my dogs to RH Animal Hospital several years ago when it was an ER facility. I had 2 Lab/Great Dane mix females about 10 years old at the time. I wanted to establish with a vet that had ER services. RH stopped being an ER facility about a year ago. Both my dogs had a chronic digestive issue that occassionally warranted a trip to the vet. And each dog had to be kept in-patient during the time they were treated there. All 3 Haviar Drs treated them, along with 2 other vets that work(ed) there. I felt like the care they received was fine, until recently. The administrative staff always seemed chaotic and I had to debate with them several times over what the correct amount was for my bill. 2 weeks ago one of my dogs was obviously ill and I took her to see Dr Jason Haviar on a Saturday morning. She had a fever and was in pain. He took xrays and told me there was something in her digestive system, so she must have eaten something. He sent her home with the comments "in case you have to take her in again" if she doesnt get better. I took her to Pieper Memorial that night about 12 hours after her being seen at RH. It was determined she had aspiration pneumonia and by that time sepsis. She died less than 24 hours after seeing Dr Haviar. The vet at Pieper said she didn't see anything in her digestive system in the xrays that would have been causing her illness. I think Dr Haviar just assumed it was digestive because of her history and possibly contributed to the death of my dog. I'll never know if she'd been diagnosed correctly at RH if she would have survived. Too much time passed by the time Pieper treated her. Needless to say I'm heartbroken and will NEVER return to RH.

If no stars were possible that would be my choice, the only good part about this place is the front desk staff (sometimes). You are just a number here. At one point my dog was extremely sick and we had to go back for a follow up next day, when we arrived they thought it was just an annual visit and looked shocked when we said otherwise. we had to tell them why we were there, as if we weren’t there yesterday and charts don’t easier. This is just one example of the many times they show negligence, and made it very clear they are unorganized. Its like going to a vet for the first time every time, no one has any clue what is going on. You are just a number there.

Does anyone else get put on hold nearly every time they call in for a minimum of 10 minutes. Customer service unacceptable.

I’m not one to give negative reviews, or any reviews for that matter, but I have been hemming and hawing over this for quite some time and have decided to do so in hopes that I will save another family from going through the trouble with their pet(s). My partner and I have been going to AHRH for many years with our pets, but no more, and for many reasons. Two major reasons: First, we have seen a couple of the doctors there for a lump on our dog, and have gone more than once out of concern that it was growing. Each doctor just felt the lump and said it was a lipoma. We ended up going elsewhere for a second opinion, and it turned out to be a mast cell tumor. The AHRH doctors wouldn’t even aspirate it when we asked them once... said “No need, it’s a lipoma. Just fatty tissue.” Well, it’s a mast cell tumor, NOT a lipoma. Second, we get nothing but attitude from some cold staff members. Now, we’re not the kind of people who call for every minor thing and incaist on being seen immediately. We like to think we’re pretty easygoing... always do what’s recommended by the doc without regard to cost, and keep our pets up to date on preventatives. Let me tell you, the manager Elaine is nothing but rude, cold, condescending, and patronizing... and not the least bit compassionate. She is flat out a horror to deal with. The same goes for a receptionist by the name of Mallory. Not only have they made us feel like we were horrible pet owners despite doing whatever the doctor recommended, but we’ve also witnessed them being unnecessarily abrasive and combative with other clients while we were waiting to be seen in the lobby. Overall, I have completely given up on AHRH. We haven’t been there in a while, and they would need to make some major staffing changes before we would ever consider going back, but it’s doubtful.

****WARNING!***** DO NOT SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION FOR YOUR PET AT ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF ROCKY HILL!!!! I REPEAT !!!!! DO NOT!!!!!! SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION HERE!!!!! THEY NOT ONLY BENT A NEEDLE IN AN L SHAPE WHILE ADMINISTERING MY PUPPYS DISTEMPER BY HITTING SOMETHING INSIDE OF HER... BUT THEY ALSO READ ME THE WRONG TEST RESULTS AFTER RETESTING HER FOR WORMS AND LEAD ME TO BELIEVE SHE WAS NEGATIVE WHEN SHE WAS POSITIVE!!!! THEY FAILED TO FOLLOW UP WITH MY DOGS CARE AND THEY WERE EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. I HAVE BEN AND STILL ARGUING WITH THEM FOR WEEKS NOW.... GOING ON MONTHS....ABOUT THE NEGATIVE RESULTS. THEY FINALLY ADMITTED GUILT BUT LIED TO MY MEW VET TRYING TO SAY I HAD UPCOMING APPOINTMENT WITH THEM TO GET HER FILE (WHIXH I NEVER RELEASED) SO THEY CAN PICK AND CHOSE WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO COVER. THEY WANT ME TO SETTLE FOR UNDER $100, WHEN MY EXPENSES W NEW VET WAS OVER $260.... AFTER TELLING THEM IM NOT SETTLING FOR $100 AND AFTER MY LAWYERS ADVICE., AND ALL THIS STRESS AGGRIVATION, MY PUPPYS WELLBEING PAIN AND SUFFERING THAT I SUGGEST THEY CUT ME CHECK FOR $500 AND ILL DROP IT... SINCE WE HAVE BEN LITERALLY GOING BACK AND FORTH FOR WEEKS/MONTHS... THEY RESPONDED THAT THEY WILL TALK TO OWNER AND GET BACK TO ME... THEY PROCEEDED TO TELL ME $97. SO I TOLD THEM TO CUT THE CHECK AND I WILL BE GIVING IT TO MY LAWYER... BECAUSE IM NOT SETTLING FOR THAT. THEY RESPONDED WITH IN ORDER FOR THEM TO CUT THE CHECK THAT I NEED TO WRITE A STATEMENT SAYING THAT IT WILL BE SETTLED WITH THEIR 97$ CHECK. WHAT THE ****? HOW STUPID DO I LOOK? THEY ARE GOING TO END UP SPENDING MORE THAN $500 ON LAWYER AND COURT FEES..... THEY ARE SO RIDICULOUS AND CARELESS AND NEGLIGENT AND I WILL UPDATE YOU ALL AFTER I SEE THEM IN COURT!

Absolute worst vet ever,, do not take your animals here if you care at all about them,, I’ve pulled my dogs records from this office, filled with staff that only care about themselves. Took Dambe in for a wellness check and because the doc was pregnant, she said she couldn’t lift my dog up,, but she didn’t have to, because the scale moves up and down, she examined my dog, and gave her 3 shots, without me knowing,, and they thought it was ok and funny when I mentioned it to the owner David, the worst place ever,,,

Friend of mine is trying to records for her dog and they will not release such info. Went in with a friend to get information and was lied too. No threat to them at all and waited in the parking lot for a friend and was threaten to be called the police on. DO NOT GO TO THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL FOR THEY WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY.

Just going to say DR Deltosta is the worst vet I've ever encountered. Stay clear of this place. They don't care about your pets.

The hospital staff was amazing. This past week we brought my dog stella because she was not feeling well. The staff was so caring.very thoughtful. From the front staff who answered all of my questions to the amazing doctors and technicians that helped not only stella but my other two girls Molly and Leah who also became sick with the same virus at a later time. My husband and I are very thankful for the best care my babies received and how the hospital was able to find a spot during the day to see them. We are very grateful to all of the staff and great team of this vet.

AHRH by far is the best hospital in town. The love and care my fur baby is given at every visit is priceless. I’ve been taking my yorkiepoo close to seven years now and can’t complain about the care or cost. My Chloe ???? had some issues with her anal glands and Dr. Haviar JR recommended Glandex; what a life changing after taking this medication. My fur baby is fully healed and no more trips to the ER to have her anal glands expressed. Chloe ???? is a new pup and no more butt scooting. AHRH also has an amazing staff and technicians. Thank you all for the level of care my Chloe ???? has received in the last 6 1/2 years. You all ROCK!
