They made every visit easy and comfortable for our dog. When our dog was diagnosed with cancer and had to be put down it was extremely professional and done with such care. Our family was able to grieve as needed and we would recommend their services to anyone with a dog ????

Great veterinary clinic. Dr.Sera is the best internist. He got my 13 yr old 6 pd dog Daisy’s Cushing disease under control in two visits after she had been treated by another vet for 6 months and $$$ and we almost lost her.

First time there with my new puppy. They were very friendly and good with the dog.

Yesterday I brought my recently adopted kitty, Daisy for a check-up and booster shots. Dr. Schuelke was so sweet with her, gave her a good once over, trimmed her nails and calmed my fears about a black spot on her gums. The charge for the office visit was waived as I had adopted her. From the receptionist, to the vet tech and the Dr, they are awesome! Last year when I needed to say goodbye to my fur baby, they got me in right away unlike my former Westerly vet (T) and were so kind. 5 Stars and then some for this wonderful animal hospital

Have brought my puppy to Wood River twice when our regular vet was unable to see her and they saved her life today,. I am so thankful!! Everyone there is so professional, caring and efficient. I am eternally grateful to the staff for taking such good care of my Rosie girl.

Our experience with Wood River Animal Hospital was nothing short of amazing. From Sophia who answered the phone (so friendly and excellent phone skills!) to Dr. Serra who took care of our sweet kitty Lucy, everyone was fantastic! The technician who came out to grab Lucy was patient and answered every single one of our questions even when they weren't directly related to the issue. This was an emergency visit (they managed to fit us in the same day we called) and they did a great job. We had a follow up call from the technician the morning after the appointment and she was so nice and patiently answered all questions. Lucy is now doing great and we're bringing her kitten in for a check up in a couple weeks! Overall, great service!

Caring people for your pets

Always there for me. Gentle Vets & Techs . Good at explaining everything. Compassionate at the ending. Honest when it's an old dog or cat's time. I can't ask for more.

My experience at wood river has been excellent.Dr.Serra has been great.He is very knowledgeable and caring always calls back when you need him.I recently had Dr.Boy she took the time to really explain things.They are both great Drs. And very smart.I drive almost an hour to get their but I wouldn't go any where else.I learned my lesson. I highly recommend them. Sophia is a sweetheart always very helpful and caring.

We have used Wood River Animal Hospital since my 9 month old puppy came home. They have been absolutely wonderful and are very attentive. When my pup came home at 10 weeks old she had Kennel Cough that turned into pneumonia. As a new dog-mom, I was so worried (she was only 3 pounds! ). After speaking with the vet I felt so much more at ease. They followed up with me and called to check on her a few times. Although more expensive than other vets, Wood River is worth the extra few dollars

Taking my two kittens here and love it. They use online tools and reminders, and staff is very pleasant and responsive. Kitties hardly seem stressed after visits so I'm happy.

Food was okay. Almond crumble dessert was overwhelming and not good. Chicken came out undercooked despite asking for it to be cooked safely. It was chewy.

Great Vets, friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Always good qith .y fur babies.

To start this is not our regular vet. During the holidays our vet took some much deserved time off. Thanksgiving weekend our 10+ year old Great Dane, Milly, who had been receiving paliative care for about six months had gastric issues and we took her to Wood River. Dr. Boy and her colleagues got Milly right in and prescribed medication to get her feeling better. Unfortunately, during the week of Christmas Milly took a turn for the worse and she let us know it was time for her to leave us on Christmas Eve day. I called and explained to the receptionist who got us right in again. Because of COVID, we couldn't go in with her. The wonderful, caring people at Wood River, took Milly inside and preped her then brought her back out to us, gave us time to say goodbye, and then allowed us to be with her in our car while they gave her the shot and she slipped away. Dr. Boy also alleviated our stress by looking us straight in the eye, and with a little hitch in her voice told us we were doing this at the right time. I have mentioned Dr. Boy by name but the vet tech who helped Milly pass was just as wonderful, I just don't recall her name. Thank you everyone at Wood River.

We had a slight emergency (or so i thought) with my dog. We found her ear to be bleeding. I must have called 10 vets to get us in ASAP. But since we are not from RI, no one would take us. One of the vets recommended Wood River. Thank goodness! We got an appointment that day! We pulled up and called them, as we were not allowed inside. Someone came out right away with paperwork to fill out. We did that. Then a short while later, they came to collect out baby. The doctor then called us to go over what was the issue and anything else we wanted. Said she'd get back to us as soon as she examined her. She called us right back and said it's just an ear infection. I was so relieved! They cut her nails and gave her a shot for her itch that we would normally have gotten at home, but have been away for a month. The WHOLE process, from pulling in the driveway to getting our baby back was about 24 minutes! The staff was so friendly and NICE and CARING!! I was so worried being so far from home. I wish these guys were in Miami Beach where we live! They would be our vet FOR SURE!!! If you have an issue with your pet, TAKE HER HERE!!! P.S. On top of all of that, the price of the emergency visit, ear medicine for her infection, the itch shot and cutting her nails was only about $200!!!

Dr. Fischer and the whole team at Wood River Animal Hospital are great. The level of care they provide their patients is top notch. Dr. Fischer has had to be a bit of a detective to help my dog with his various issues, which she does with great care and without costing an arm and a leg. She is thoughtful in her approach, which is appreciated. The vet tech team is amazing, each of them are sweet and kind to my dog who has a great deal of anxiety about vet visits, while also being great with people. Their receptionists are welcoming, and in fact greet us by name as we are a frequent visitor with my elderly dog. The level of care my dog has received has been top notch and I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. They are the best!
