Love Dr. Robb. So much experience & recognizes that we shouldn’t trade temporary illness for chronic disease. He tests for titers, gets baselines and sincerely cares for our beloved pets!

Dr Robb had been recommended to me by my coworkers and we have been very happy with his care! He takes his time to get to know you and listen. He is passionate about what he does and it shows.

Had a great 1st experience this afternoon this afternoon I had met doctor rob a number of years ago and when I finally needed to use the card they were prompt in replying. Everyone was very friendly my dog felt comfortable and I was able to stay with him throughout his appointment which gave me a lot of Peace of Mind. Definitely somewhere I'm comfortable bringing my Fur Baby.

I can't say enough about both Dr. Robb and his amazing staff. They went over and above to help my dying dog and cried with me when we all decided it was time to let him go. I've have animals all my life and they are the best!

We were looking for a new vet and Dr Robb was highly recommended. Our 1st visit was with our cat she had been having urine issues so I called to make an appointment we were told about a week out but were also put on the cancelation list. The next day we were called saying they had an opening that afternoon we took it. Great visit staff very caring. Surgery booked for 2 days later. Whole experience was great. They truly CARE about your pets. Dr Robb spent plenty of time going over everything and made sure we understood the process. We have Definitely found our new vet.

It's very hard to find a vet that is good and you can trust. Dr Robb is an amazing vet and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I will never bring my pets anywhere as long as he is around.

I recently have had my cat seen by Dr.Robb and treated for several age related issues. He just had surgery for removal of two rotten teeth and a mass removal. I couldn’t be happier with how myself and my pet have been treated during this time. I was educated, informed, given transparent and precise information, called when told I would be called, and my cat was treated with the utmost respect and care, beyond what I had ever experienced elsewhere. I was shown exactly what would occur before and what did occur after surgery, and my cat was returned to me in great condition. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Dr. Robb and I hope to continue with him for many years to come.

Absolutely the best Veterinarian in the area. Dr. Robb and staff are committed to avoid “over care” and “over vaccinations”. Reasonably priced for superior care. Dr. Robb takes the time with you and ensures you are educated. He has the latest tools and methods at his disposal and ensures a great environment for your pet. Multiple accolades and accomplishments. Between my home and his office are about 50 other vets however I will not bring my pet to anyone else.

I took my dog here since Dr. Robb was highly recommended to me by someone. I was sorry I did though! I don’t even know where to begin. My small dog had what appeared to be a small fatty like mass on his leg. The doctor couldn’t find it, but instead was just talking about other things he needed that weren’t half as important as my reason for visit. I finally found the lump myself through all my dog’s fur. Dr. Robb said, “oh yes, that’s a tumor, we would have to give him general anesthesia, but while we do that let’s clean his teeth and check to see if we have to extract any teeth”. I said, he’s 13, I don’t care to do that right now, and asked about potential local anesthesia due to his age, but that got shot down right away. Long story short, the doctor was going in and out of the room several times to be with other patients, but this was my FIRST visit, so not a great impression, would it be for you?. He told me his staff would provide an estimate for all of this, and never came back in the room to clean my dogs eyes and ears as I asked him twice. So the girl came out and the old printer that was in the exam room, literally took 5 minutes, I’m not joking to print me a receipt for the visit. I contacted her the next day for that estimate, she told me it was $1300, when I asked for the breakdown I was shocked. I asked why would he need the same blood work I just paid $500 for 7 months prior? I also mentioned “again” I didn’t want the teeth done. I wanted my dog’s tumor removed. She said she would call me the next day with “another estimate”. That never happened, in fact. She never called me back ever. I wouldn’t write this review if I didn’t feel it was necessary to share. I took my dog to another place today in Trumbull, and the doctor told me today it is a wart, a benign tumor that’s a virus, and it looked like it resolved, since he couldn’t locate either, (but I showed him the pic I took of it just weeks prior). So the moral of the story is, the $$$. My $75 visit at this other place today is a lot better than what could have been a $1300 visit at Protect the Pets. So all these “positive reviews” here are very misleading. I wouldn’t have posted this had the girl even had the decency to atleast call me back with the second estimate. Huge turn off!!! People like to take advantage of you when you’re most vulnerable with the pets that you love, they feel it’s an easy money grabber. It’s a business I suppose...just like anywhere else. It’s what can they sell you. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don’t have a money tree in my back yard, and this money would have been a financial hardship to me, but why would he had cared. I am such an easy going nice person, so I want to be clear, I did nothing or said anything to deserve this treatment. I was blown away considering all the amazing reviews he has received. WOW! Total opposite on fact.

Dr. Robb is the absolute best! Take his time to explain diagnosis, steps to be taken without adding unnecessary services, answers any question in depth and most important understands and relates to the owner the amount of TLC given to his patients. Fully recommend coming here!

Prior to Dr. Robb, I always hated going to the vet because at other vet's it was always a sales job to get extra vaccines, meds and tests. Dr.Robb is more focused on pets than profits. That's how it should be. I am glad I was referred to him and it is worth the 30 minute drive to get there passing many other vets closer to my home.

What a nice man. Dr.Robb fit us in on a moment’s notice and was so kind. He greeted us at the door and made sure we were taken care of ASAP. We are still new to the area and it was so nice to have someone care about our animals the way he did. He put himself in our position and gave us the best, most realistic and kindly humane option. I really enjoyed our experience and found Dr. Robb to be so kind and understanding to our needs. He is great. We found our vet :).

All staff were supportive and helpful beyond anything. Even when we had to make our final decisions, they really do the best that they can.

When Dr. Rob is not around anyone, he isn’t that “compassionate” man that a lot of people know. He’s very stuck up and monotone, I also don’t like the way he treats his staff. I went in to see if they needed volunteer work with the animals and was a bit nervous, when I told him I was thinking of looking into veterinary school he shot me down and told me since I’m more on the nervous side I should look into being a vet tech. Very insulting to someone that wants to be a veterinarian and just in one encounter. Barley even spoke to me at all even though there wasn’t anyone there. I was going to bring my dog there, but after that encounter I am a lot happier spending my money on another vet. I wouldn’t work here just from the overall vibe I get from the place.

Dr. Robb and his staff are very kind and compassionate. My 2 dogs loved them. My dogs were given a very thorough exam and were treated with such tenderness. We highly recommend Dr. Robb and his staff at Protect the pets. His medical views, scientific research and experience is very comforting. Hopefully Connecticut will wake up and listen to all the scientific research and proof about rabies and all vaccines. Titers should be accepted for all immunities, INCLUDING RABIES!
