Unleashed Doggie Daycare New Milford, Connecticut

We started bringing my dog here recently, and it seems like everything is going very well! I love seeing her playing with other dogs via the doggy webcam. The staff is very accommodating.

This is such a excellent place, have boarded our dog Halley many times here. The staff has such cool ways to keep you updated, such as sweet descriptions of your pets interaction with others, and the pictures are precious. Our Halley recently stayed here for 8 days and had a grooming ( which was a surprise for my wife) before pick up...Halley was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Unleashed Doggie Daycare.

We have been sending our two pups to Unleashed for over a year now and they love it. It's an awesome facility. The staff and the owners are outstanding. I am always comfortable when our dogs are in their care. I highly recommend them for your doggie needs (including grooming!).

We boarded our cat, Carl, here for 5 nights. We originally booked a different place closer to our home, but due to the storm knocking out power the other place had to cancel the day before. So we scrambled to find another, and we found Unleashed. When we called to set up a reservation the night before we were leaving, which was a stressful situation, the staff member we spoke to was fantastic, understanding, thorough, and seemed genuinely excited to meet Carl! I felt really good about our choice after our first interaction. When I dropped him off, they were very thorough in making sure they got his meal schedule right, and you could tell that the staff member genuinely loved animals. I absolutely LOVED the daily report cards with pictures and letting us know how Carl was doing. The report cards became part of our nightly family activity, reading through the updates and passing around the photos. We are back home now, and Carl is doing great!

The crew at Unleashed is amazing- super friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic, they made my Penny feel right at home. They also did a wonderful job grooming her, and their prices are extremely reasonable for the level of service. Thank you so much for giving Penny a great stay.

My puppy Ruckus goes to daycare here. We drop him off pretty early between 6:30am or 7. And dont pick him up till around 5 or 6.. He LOVES it. Soon as we pull up hes already trying to get out of the car. Ruckus is spoiled and i thank the staff who takes care of his sassy self all day. Would recommend them to anyone. Because of unleashed Ruckus is super social with dogs and has a fun day. I feel relaxed at work knowing hes not home alone and hes having fun with his fur friends. Thank you Unleashed!

Our dog Bailey lives unleashed. Whether for a single day, play date... or an overnight or two. They treat her great and she has a ball. Their online cameras and report cards are awesome too.

My dog loves Unleashed- she is incredibly excited when we pull into the parking lot, and she always passes out when she gets home. I’m thrilled she’s getting play time with other dogs and a good amount of exercise especially in the cold months. The staff is exceptionally kind, attentive, and accommodating- I can’t recommend them highly enough.

My dog loves going there so that makes me love that place too! They have 2 indoor rooms and 2 fenced outdoor areas to keep little dogs away from the big ones. My dog is always exhausted when he comes back from daycare.

Greatest daycare experience you could ever hope for for your fur babies. Everyone here is outstanding with their care and dedication to caring for animals. Dropped my 2 cats off for 2 weeks and they went above and beyond making sure they were cared for and putting my mind at easy with their daily pictures and report cards. Cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much for all you guys do, you have a great team!

We have a great relationship with Unleashed. Our dog goes there numerous times a week and we can tell he loves it. He gets very excited to spend time with his friends every time we even get close to the place.

I did a tour of this place and it looks and smells so dirty I couldn't actually leave my dog here in good conscience. Here's what I noticed/thought: I was told that it's a "cage free" facility so the dogs are able to run around freely in a room inside (and play outside in nice weather). If you're boarding your dogs, this also means that they sleep in an open area without being separated or crated. I viewed the main play room and it was attended by one or two staff members watching the dogs. Since they don't want any fighting (very reasonable) dogs can't bring their own bedding or toys. They have some scattered bedding and toys within the room for the dogs to use. For me, there were two main issues in the play area that I saw when I was there: 1. The room looks terribly dingy and the smell in the facility was unbearably bad. The provided bedding and toys were dirty. I mean the kind of dirty that you'd want to put gloves on to touch. And you wouldn't want to wash these things - you'd want to throw them away. 2. The staff that I saw in the room seemed completely disinterested in the dogs. One was reading a book and no one was playing with the dogs. Granted, most of the dogs were running around together but it gave me pause about how much attention they give to the pups that are not interested so much in other dogs. Here's the good news - the woman who gave the tour seemed genuinely nice and like she really loved the animals. This facility is also staffed 24x7, so someone is always onsite with the dogs. This place has some good qualities and kind staff members, but the lack of care and cleaning with regards to the facility kills it for me.

We left our dogs here overnight, but when dropping them off and picking them up, the smell of ammonia was overpowering. I don't know if it was from dog pee or cleaning fluids, but it really doesn't matter ... if the smell was that strong to me, how much worse for the dogs? I did like the fact that they had cameras (although you have to pay a fee to see them), and they did seem to care for the animals well otherwise. I think we'll find another place next time though.

My dog had been going there for years, boarding here and there during vacations and trips. The most recent attempt to board her was a disappointing disaster and the more people I have spoken to about it, it seems they have had similar experiences. I made arrangements to board my 3 y/o dog in advance of a trip I was taking out of state. She was to be there 2 days. Approximately 10 minutes after my husband dropped her off; I was called and asked to make other arrangements due to sudden behavior problems she was exhibiting. You can imagine how stressful and frustrating this was. One, because it's 100% not in my dogs DNA to be vicious and two; because I was already out of town. So I called my husband and back he went to get her and figure out last minute arrangements. In my opinion, they were totally unwilling to even try to let her be in the group which I am sure stressed her out even more or mistook her exuberance, because all she wants to do is play. This dog accepts guest dogs from the neighborhood that come to visit, cats, chickens, small children...everyone as friends. In addition, they suggested she might have a 'medical problem' causing her behavior. Almost a week later, I'm still waiting for something to manifest. Honestly, I think they probably over booked and just decided someone had to go and unfortunately it was my dog since we're not the usual bread and butter. Needless to say, this recent encounter was an awful, stressful experience that broke my confidence in this place to successfully do their job with professionalism, honesty and integrity and we won't be going back, ever.
