Excellent boarding kennel, pups are well cared for

I boarded my cats here years ago and they did a great job. I have my one year old lab scheduled to be boarded over Thanksgiving. The people here are very nice and real animal-lovers. My vet is on the same property so it gives me peace-of-mind.

My dog Charlie and the Mt Tom Kennel staff seem equally excited to see each other :-) They are almost always available when we need them, and it feels like leaving Charlie at camp because he is so happy to be there.

All i know is both my dogs get excited when we go to the kennel. I love that there is a vet next door in case something happens. Our little dog requires meds x2/day and while it costs a little more to pill her, i have confidence in the staff. And it is priced reasonably.

I went here with my mom to bring my mom dog to get a check up at the vet. This place has a small parking lot in the front with handicap parking. The kennel is in the back of the vet. The staff are nice and friendly. The floors are clean and they have cages to put the animals in to keep them safe for the weekend or weekday. The staff here takes great care of the animals by cleaning out the cages, feeding the animals food and give them water.

I have brought by dog to numerous different kennels and keep finding I am most satisfied with leaving her here. She can go in and out as she pleases, it is nestled in a nice area by Mount Tom state reservation. She has always come back in excellent health. I have been dealing with the same person there for years and they come across as professional and caring. When I have to go out of town, leaving her here has been a worry free experience.

We always board our dog at Mt Tom Boarding. Although it's not the most fancy place it is extremely clean and the workers are so very caring. My dog is not the easiest guy to handle especially while he is out of his element, but they find a way to calm him down and take very good care of him.

We've been boarding with Mt. Tom Kennel for over 10 years. Joe and his staff have always made sure our dogs receive the best care. I have never been disappointed. I've seen some of the negative comments here and I can't imagine that there is any relation to the treatment from the staff. Kennels at time will be noisy yes, but swing by during the night and all is calm and never anything unusual going on. Overall the staff is friendly, caring, knowledgeable and tend to like what they do.

Have used them for all of our dogs and they have been taken care of really great! They read the notes I have left and answer my questions to the fullest! I bring my dogs personal items and always get them back!

I have been using this kennel for almost 10 years. My dogs are always in good care there. It is a busy place, but that is typically the nature of boarding kennels. They provide consistently good customer service and there are always at least 2 or 3 staff waiting to help when I arrive. I have never personally had any problems or worried that my dogs are being mistreated. They take my dog on a daily leash walk and there is an enclosed run attached to each indoor kennel. It is also very reasonably priced for what it provides. They are attached to a vet's office. If you want something that is more of a low-key home environment, then you will pay more and this isn't that type of kennel. I will continue to go there as long as they are in business and provide the care they do.

This place is horrible. My dog stayed here three times and every time came home with blood in her urine (she wasn't in heat). They kept having their vet look at her and try to treat her without my permission. They finally said she isn't allowed to stay there anymore, for no reason. Probably because they won't be able to get money from the vet check ups. Only go here if you want your dog to come home traumatized.

Our dogs love being here when we must leave them. The staff is really friendly and my dogs love them. They are also reasonably priced. We board our dogs together to save money no complaints here.
