Our cat Link which he was suppose to get neutered way sooner but do to the pandemic it took much longer so he was much bigger. He was so scared of everything cause of all the lock downs he had grown right out of kitten stage with just 3 adults and his doggie brother. Everyone in the office where so patient and loving with him and me cause yup I may have been worse then Link. Great place to bring your extended family for general and major care . Cant thank them enough for all the love and care. Dee

We have been going to Pets’ Friends for years and years, I love this place! Dr Alter is so knowledgeable and friendly! The staff has a real love for all animals and even gave my cat nickname, “Mellow” Jello lol!

My family has been going here for over 20 years. We went there with our first dog and our second. Our second dog had a very serious medical issue and they did not give up on him. If I could, I would drive from Rocky Hill just to bring a pet here because the people who work here are that amazing! Update: My wife and I do have a dog now, this is her first dog and how amazing they have been is worth the drive! They have been so informative, helpful, and understanding! She wasn't sure about the drive until the first meeting with Dr. Alter and his staff. We love every appointment and so does our dog!

I have 4 vets offices in my town. I drive 45 minutes away to ensure my dogs get the most professional, affordable (no price gauging), efficient and caring care I can find. Thank you to Pet's Friend!

I have been worried about our visit for over a week due to our nervous kitty. But the staff and Doctor, perfect even with Link being so worried and being shy they managed him smoothly. I highly recommend for your fur babies

Dr. Alter and the rest of the staff at Pet's Friend Animal Hospital are so friendly and knowledgeable. As new puppy owners, we can be quite annoying with the worries and phone calls. The staff there NEVER makes us feel like a burden or that we're annoying with all the questions. They take such good care of out pup and she now loves to go there! We make the trip that is over a 30 minute drive just because we love the staff and Dr. Alter so much. This place has such a homey feel we wouldn't go back to a "big" animal hospital again. Highly recommend!

The vet here is shockingly rude to his technicians. I witnessed him yelling at and snapping at his technicians throughout my appointment. The veterinary care itself was fine, but I was made highly uncomfortable by the vet's attitude. I felt like grabbing my kitty and getting out! No employee deserves to be treated this way. Please consider a different vet.

Dr. Alter and all the staff here are wonderful and treat me and my senior dog with kindness and respect. They take care of any issues in the most reasonable manner, I never feel overwhelmed or overcharged, in fact I find them to be beyond fair in pricing. You can tell they really care about the animals. My dog likes going here and visiting her friends!

Pet's Friend has been the vet for all my pets (two cats and a dog) and Dr. Alter and his assistants have always been very knowledgeable, understanding and helpful. My dog is 15 now and still going-thanks in part to PF.

I took all of my animals to Mr alter, but last visit I called to see if he could see small animals (my rat) and they said yes. He went in and didn't know anything about rats, he told me to fast her before her surgery which is unnecessary, and then called the day before her surgery cancelling it saying he was no longer comfortable. He charged me forthe visit which I don't agree with because he said originally he could help. I will now bring my animals (dog,cat,and rat) to branford vet in main Street, who is much more friendly and helpful. A much more professional experience where I feel I have done my job as an owner.
