Larkin's Run Durham, Connecticut

My 2 dogs were there for 6 days. They were well cared for. They were bathed and brushed and their coats have never felt better. I highly recommend Larkin's Run. The staff and owners are great people. We will definitely return.

My cats recently stayed here for a few nights, and it worked out very well. My two cats got to share a space (something we specifically look for) and there was plenty of room for them. The people who work there are great; very efficient and caring.

One of the best dog boarding facilities I have stepped foot in!! It’s clean, doesn’t smell, and has enough space for any size dog with runners for their leisure to come and go outside. The prices are decent and the services are exceptional. Will definitely bring my pooch here again

Larkins is amazing!! They are so responsive and very reasonably priced. My dog got skunked early morning. I messaged Larkins on Facebook several hours before they opened, they responded almost immediately and told me to go ahead and bring my stinky dog in when they opened. Saved my day! Thank you so much!! Brodie says "thank you" too!

We’ve had our sheltieboarded there for 14 years and he was always happy there now we have 2 cavalier King Charles spaniels that love it there as well I also did puppy training with my Casey there too wonderful experience . You wouldn’t want a more congenial place fir your children why not your pups ??? Any dog would be happy there with walks & playtime & wonderful staff .Thank you always fit your care Larkins Run . We took our dog Telli here all the time before she became an old lady who preferred to stay at home! They are wonderful and caring! Love that they do a bath if you want before pickup!

We boarded our two pugs at this establishment for two weeks. We have never boarded them before, but have tried an in-home service last year that did not work out at all, so I was a little nervous about leaving them this time. When I picked them up, they had obviously been well cared for, and honestly looked better than when I dropped them off! They were calm and content when we got home, so they apparently got enough attention while they were there. I paid extra for “cuddle time”, and I guess it was worth it!! Thanks so much for taking such good care of Indie and Buddy! They not only look better, but seem happier somehow.... maybe they needed time away on their own vacation? I can recommend this place without a second thought. I will be using them again in the future.

I have three cats and a hamster. My fiance and I have had nothing but incredible service with Larkin's Run. They are reasonably priced, good with our pets, and they understand that they have to keep them all in the same kitty condo. We are forever grateful for all the assistance, kindness and easy to work with.

We could not be happier with our experience at Larkin's Run, and we've used them a few times to date. We have two dogs that required both short and long term boarding, and we came back to perfectly happy, healthy, and clean dogs. They take such great care, and when they found a minor concern in our pup Ollie's urine, they contacted our vet, and even brought them a sample. Talk about above and beyond. They even cleaned the toys and bedding before pickup. We happily recommend them to everyone we know!

Our dogs are our lives! We trust Larkin's Run with them. The staff is excellent and friendly and always happy. We did alot of research on lots of places and glad we chose them!

I have been a customer for almost 15 years. I can truly count on our dog being cared for without worrying about her. The owners are passionate about their facility and it shows by the way it is run. You are right you didn't the rating that I gave you and I'm truly sorry, you have been there for my cats, hamster, and myself when I needed help, Your prices are reasonable and you and your staff go above and beyond taking care of all the pets in your care. I am new to the area and needed a place to keep my dog last minute. I found out after the fact that they do not give the dogs cots or beds. They also told me later that if I wanted my dog walked it would be $7 extra each time and if I wanted someone to play with her it was $10 extra each time. They definitely have established a new meaning to nickle and diming their customers. I will never take my dog here again. Puppy Jail!

Have used Larkin's Run for years. They always do an exceptional job and the staff is all experienced and helpful. The kennels are always spotless. They also have trail walks and yard play available. Great to not have to worry about my dogs when I'm away!

dropped off out two puppies... People were nice, dogs were clean when they got home, price reasonable. unfortunately came home with giardia and roundworm... which then led to an expensive vet visit and meds...

I have two dogs and unfortunately travel for work A bit more than I would like . when I pull into Larkins Run Kennel both dogs start whining and barking and jumping around my car. They are so excited to be here that when I get out of the car and open the door I do not need a leash because they run right to the front door. One of them is always scratching at the door to go in. The staff is exceptional the care my furry children receive is extraordinary and the price is exactly what I would need! don't even consider another place you only need Larkins Run Kennel!

Outstanding is the only word I can use to deacribe the care given to my dogs That was 5 months ago. My most recent visit has turned into a nightmare. My dog was returned to me with an injury. She could barely walk. The kennel did not bring her to the Vet. The kennel did not contact me. My dog was clearly in distress. My dog is better now, but she came back from the kennel a totally different dog. The kennel tried to blame me for getting a smaller enclosure. I will NEVER EVER use this kennel again.

The absolute gold standard of pet boarding! Our two dogs stayed there for about 4 days the first time. They came out happy, healthy, clean. The next time, when I brought them into the reception area, both dogs RAN to get to their shared kennel. I was AMAZED!!!!! One of our dogs has severe Separation Anxiety but never had a pause about leaving us to stay with the Larkin's. Reasonable prices! A bath before pickup. The best place ever. And we drive nearly 45 minutes to get there. Worth it!!!

I am a veterinarian, and I have been so happy with the care of my two dogs here on numerous occasions in the past two years. During a visit a few months ago while I was out of town, my old lady dog wasn't acting quite like herself, and the owner called me, offered to take my dog to my vet clinic to get looked at, then picked her up the next day. My dog was fine, and I was so pleased with how much attention they pay to them and how they get to know them and take care of them - as if they were their own pets!
