If you are a pet lover of fish especially betta fish or any brand of fish I wouldn’t shop at Petco. With in a few days or week of getting a fish from them doing everything right we have never been so unhappy with our purchases of beta fish. If you want good quality pet fish your better off going down to Branford. I forgot the name of the place but any where is better then perco in Clinton but better yet at where Petco isn’t

I went in there for crickets and worms.. mind you I go to Middletown because it’s the only petco where people know how to take care of the reptiles. Looking through the cages of the BLUE iguana these babies are malnourished, one has stuck shed on its eye so badly that they can’t even open up there eyes and the other iguana is dead. Literally frozen up in the food bowl dead. Stood there for a couple minutes and it never moved and I have an iguana at home. The “take out” crickets are all dead some with mold on them in the container. This place is disgusting and should be shut down.

Had a hard time finding someone to help and when I did she acted like I was bothering her

I shop there because I have to, not because I want to. I have had SOOO many problems with auto-delivery, curbside delivery--it's a mess. Right now I'm waiting for a refund of $53. to my PayPal account because I was billed for a delivery that I refused. I had been told my account was canceled, I went to the store and bought a bag and the next day UPS arrived with another 37 libs. Petco debited my Paypal but never acknowledged that the product was refused and returned to them. Why do you make things SO HARD!!!! Fix this for me please!!!! I'm 68 years old and no one ever offers to help get this bag off the shelf or to my car- that would be a nice thing.

I use their vet and grooming services in addition to shopping for the dog and cats. The staff is always extra helpful and the trainer has offered helpful advise after meeting our pup.

I did not have to wait for the item to be brought to the front of the store. The Petco store has a good variety and most times my dogs food is in stock. Also the staff is friendly.

My dog loves to go there to look at the other dogs especially the female dogs.

Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Don't go 10 min before they close they will push you out by saying( several times ) how many min before they close while following you and talk to each other about how tired they are and ignore you!!! I have NEVER had a problem with that store until I went in with 10 min to spare to pick up cans of wet food for my cats.

The the young gentleman, Cole, was extremely helpful. He helped me find some products that I needed and then carried the heavy cat litter container out to the car for me. He was so pleasant and personable. Asked me if there was anything else he could help me with and even listened attentively to my sad tale about my sick cat As your employee, he is a keeper!

They were incredibly helpful at helping me to buy a dog carrier to bring my Swedish Blue Duck, Buddy, to the vet because he had become very ill and I wanted to make sure he was comfortable for his ride in the car. I thank them because they helped my sweet boy get comfortable when he hasn't been in a car before.

They always have what I need.

Friendly and organized but needs to be stocked more

Went in to buy guppies for my kids. I’ve had aquariums for 40 years - and the sales associate commenced to grill me on the size of my tank, how long it’s been set up, when I last tested the water, etc. She then tells me she “can’t” sell me any fish until she can verify those details, and in fact says she’d hesitate to sell me any until I bring a water sample from my aquarium into the store for her to test. I told her she had to be kidding me, and she replied no, she simply had no choice in the matter. She then proceeded to lecture me on how the life of these fish are just as important as the lives of the hamsters, ferrets, blah blah blah. Left the store with my children in tears. Last time I’ll ever step foot in that store. I’ll drive the extra 15 miles to purchase from a store that treats their customers with trust and respect, not from the Clinton Petco gestapo.

I used to come to Petco all the time to get food for my 2 leopard geckos I got here. The pets are great, the food, NOT so much. The price for just a few dozen crickets is OUTRAGEOUS! I relied on this place for so long for food for my pets and I stopped going recently after they were "out of crickets." I decided I had enough of a pet store being out of pet food! The manager that wears glasses is condescending and rude. A place I once loved I will never travel to again. I order live food online for 1/4 of the price.

They took good care of my baby, unfortunately she's still young and has to learn to let them bathe and cut her properly.. but all and all she is still a cutie ????
