They were very friendly and they showed a lot of kindness towards my pet. They let me ask questions and they are very clear in their responses. I've made them my veterinary clinic.

Absolutely wonderful vets. Took us in as an emergency, and treated us as if we were long term customers.

Dr Matz is the best doctor, she has taken care of my older cat for years and so sweet and caring for my Belle. I will never again go anywhere else. Thank you Dr Matz!

The doctor here was super knowledgeable, and took a very holistic approach to taking care of my dog's problem. They also try and make your animal feel as welcome and loved so the vet isn't a horrible trip for you pet. Great spot to take you pet.

So I accidentally missed my appointment by a day and instead of squeezing me in they booked my dogs very important vaccinations appointment three weeks from when he was supposed to have them putting my dogs life at risk. Go somewhere where they actually care about your dogs life not here.

This place sucks use to be a good place to take your pet Now is all they care about is the money I would never recommend them to anyone.

No compassion at all. Completely over books the clinic/docs, will not see your pet for urgent matters because they have no openings available (my pet was not sick enough for the emergency vet but needed to be seen ASAP for a fractured tooth with exposed nerve root). Additionally 2 weeks ago Went for an annual visit with my Labrador and had to wait over 90 min they were so far behind on a weekday. Very disappointed in them and will be finding a new vet immediately.

This was my vet for 14 yrs and only needed to visit primarily for well checks. Now our cat is sick and they can't see him? During business hours! They don't have the staff? TY I will take him to a compassionate practice.

I beg anyone with a cat NOT to bring their cat here. They do not care about cats. I dropped my cat off for an emergency at 8am and they didn't start looking at him until 6pm. He sat in a cage with barking dogs all around him all day. When you call their office all you hear is barking dogs, anyone with a cat knows how stressful being in a new environment is for cats. I told the woman on the phone I would prefer for him not to be left in a cage for hours due to the stress that would put on him, and that I could drop him off when ever they are ready to see him. She told me he wouldn't and he would be seen quick. That was a lie he wasn't seen all day. This vet is horrible, there are so many great vets that just treats cats so please if you can go elsewhere.

SNAP test blood sample was left out for 48 before testing basically voiding the results. Third bad experience with this location. There are better vets.

I took my cat here yesterday because she was matted and I am SO happy I did!!! I can tell my cat is so much happier and she's even being more loving and cuddly. My cat is my baby and I'm sure many of you can relate about your own pet/pets. I'm sure you're like me and want to give your animal the best care possible. I highly suggest taking your pet to VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital. The staff did not only treat my cat very nicely, they also treated me with the upmost respect. I can't thank them enough for helping treat my little girl.

Cheshire VCA is very good so far, although I only moved here recently. VCA Baybrook in West Haven was extraordinarily good to us for many years and my two Australian Cattle Dogs, one they helped live an extra four wonderful years and one new puppy who had a rough start, and the VCA EMERGENCY ROOM in Shelton saved my dog's life when he got poisoned by algae, and saved his beautiful eye from a scary injury last week, so EVERYONE should know the ER is there 24/7/365, and they have an ambulance. ????????????

I signed up for their puppy plan. It doesn't seem they are clear on how it works. Gotten charged for things like medication one time but not the time before, so they weren't clear on what is covered. I also was quoted $89 a month for the plan, made the appointment to come in for an exam and sign up for my puppy. Was told it's $99 when I got there. After discussion they said they would honor what I was quoted, but they would have to credit back my card each month for the difference. To date have not seem a credit. It seems they are keeping my extra money on an account there which does me no good. The vets seem nice, but with COVID, I've only been able to talk to them thru the phone. But this last time was better. They have a video call feature thru their app to talk to the vet. Not sure if I'll continue there after the puppy plan is over.

I have brought both my rescue Persian cats to VCA Cheshire and have always received nothing but caring professional help. Geovahna one of the Vet Techs there has been nothing short of wonderful each and every visit. I highly recommend VCA Cheshire for any and all of your veterinary needs.

My cat USE to go here for the vet. When I called them one morning extremely desperate because he wasn’t eating or drinking for two days they told me they couldn’t see him. It’s his primary care vet and they couldn’t see him?! I went took him to a vet that saw him same day and found out that he needed emergency surgery that day. If I waited one more day for their convenience he would of died. HORRIBLE VET! I will NEVER bring him there ever again. They say their a vet but they turn your animals away? That’s not a vet, that place shouldn’t be open.

Very rude over the phone! Should have checked out their reviews first. I don’t recommend.

We’ve lived in town since the summer and our dog (who is a bit mischievous) has been to VCA a few times already. We were a little hesitant because of the reviews but we took a chance when we couldn’t get an urgent appointment anywhere else. I’m so glad we did. The staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful and we are very happy with the care our little guy is receiving. I also love the app! We got to video chat with the veterinarian during our dog’s appointment since we had to wait in the car.

I brought my dog there for a broken toe and they refused to see him because it was 4:30 and they were closing at 6:00. There were no cars in the lot and they were just standing around the front desk watching the clock. I’ve never encountered such laziness and lack of empathy.

Having years of experience in working with the public and customers, I can tell you that your staff, whoever answers the phones really needs more training in social etiquette and empathy for your customers. Additionally your prices are extremely high when compared to other services in the area.
