Only giving this place 1 star as it does not allow me to give 0. We brought our pup here today 5/11/21 and he came home bleeding and limping. There is blood all over the back seat of my car. They cut his nails way too short and he is in a lot of pain. We called and spoke with the owner and she said this is normal and he is okay. There is nothing normal about this. I do not recommend bringing your pet here at all.

Nice groom but really poor customer service. Rude on the phone and rude in the store. No breakdown of costs. Seconds time this has happened. There won’t be a third.

First time here and what a great job on my 3 boys! My little one is blind and diabetic (and can be cranky!) but she was so patient with him! We will definitely be back!

I have been going to Beauty in the Beast for over twenty years! I have never had a problem and love how the dogs come out. Allison is a true professional and my dogs love her!!! I would never take my dogs to anyone else! Highly recommend her!!!!

Allyson has been grooming Sam our Golden Retriever since we adopted him from Sunshine Golden Retriever Rescue in June 2016. We were living in Cheshire and I was referred to her by another adopter from Wallingford who had a great experience when she took her blind Golden there. We moved to Stamford CT in the summer of 2017 and every 8 weeks without fail I drive Sam to Allyson so she can look after him. Its well worth the effort, he came to us at 18 months old after being badly abused. As an adopter and official volunteer for a dog rescue, I have to trust who interacts with my dog. Allyson and her staff are animal lovers first and foremost - your pet in is good hands here. Sam is thriving, happy and healthy and continues to heal - Allyson and he staff are as thrilled to see it as I am.

I have brought my dogs to Allyson for about 10 years. She has always given the best of care, so much so that my three dogs didn't even shy away when I brought them to her front door. Everytime there has been an emergency, (usually skunks the occasional goose attack), I call Allyson first. When I go out of town I board the dogs with her. If you have a pet you should definitely get to know Allyson. Nobody cares more for animals than Allyson Aloi-Eliason

We just rescued a dog and it was in desperate need of a bath and trim. Beauty and the Beast took him right away. They did a wonderful job and cleaned him up. He looks wonderful now.

I have brought my poodle here for several years now and after trying serval places prior I have never been so happy as I am with the work they do. I know when I go there my little fur baby is taken care of!

I have brought my dogs to beauty in the beast for 20 years. I like their grooming the best: no clipper lines and the best facial clip. Their teeth get cleaned as well. They take pride in their work and I wholeheartedly recommend Alison and Marjorie.

Best of best for my Bella. Allyson is the owner there and has been grooming my baby since she’s was 9 weeks old. She gives the best haircut and I love the way my dog smells coming from her visit to Beauty In The Beast. I would highly recommend their services. Keep up the great work girls!

After being clear NOT to put my elderly dog in noose, they did. Yelled at them to take it off. They said almost done. Dog died next day. She had a collapsed trachyia.

I brought my Standard Poodle in for a groom a few months ago. When I came to pick her up, she looked and smelled great, and the groomer let me know she had been difficult (which is strange as I groom her myself when I can and she's rather patient about the whole thing). I got her home and realized that the groomer had trimmed all of her nails so short they were bleeding!!!!! Becky has always been a little wary of getting her nails trimmed, but now she will flat out refuse to let me get near her with the clippers (and who can blame her!) My vet was appalled when I brought her in the next day to see if they could help her. They put her on an antibiotic and a pain reliever right away. The worst part of all this, is that when I called and asked her about it, she said the nails were too long and she had to trim them back. I told her what my vet said, and she told me the vet was over reacting, it was fine and she, "does it all the time!" Really? you think it's okay to hurt and traumatize dogs just to get their nails super short????? Becky's nails were not even all that long, they didn't even touch the ground. It has taken me three long months to regain my dog's trust so I can handle her feet again without her getting upset. I would NEVER bring a pet here, even if it was the last groomer on earth.
