Sad how this "company" has changed.... We have been part of Millpond Vet for way over twenty years.... Since ownership changed they are totally different... Today we had a appointment for 1130 am... do to unforseen issues we called stating that we MAY be late for our appointment which we called them about 3/4 hr before appointment...was told that would cut into their lunch time and we need to reschedule.... Told them we had to be In west haven at 4 for our doctor appointment they asked if we could come there at 420..Needless to say impossible...We did make a new appointment but Will be thinking about possibly new vet.... again sad how much they have changed...

My boyfriend and I brought our two kittens there that we’ve had for two weeks for eye infections. I was very anxious about it but Dr. Prior and her tech were incredible. They answered every single question we had and my kittens were very happy with all the treats they received. I am so glad we chose them as our veterinary home!

STEER CLEAR !!!! This was a family business that has been "rolled up" by a major corporation and they are only in business for the $$$$ -- My experience was they recommended several expensive tests and medication that my pet did not need. Sad when great small businesses are taken over by corporate greed machines...

When I first rescued my dog, a vet technician (unaffiliated with Mill Pond) was convinced she wasn’t going to make it. She had severe tooth infections, open, infected wounds on her head that she kept scratching and reopening, heartworms, and other problems. 3+ years later and she is completely healthy and is my backpacking companion that makes climbing up to 4000 ft peaks in the White Mountains look easy. This is 100% because of Dr. Lang. We started going to him when he was at a different practice and although he and I have both moved since then, I still drive 1.5 hours to go to him. He really spends time with you and your pet to ensure he is catching everything and you understand what’s going on and how to help. He truly cares about your animals. When my dog had a very uncommon issue, he called specialists to be sure he was making the right decisions in her treatment. And, not just him, but the entire team is like this! I know when I call to make an appointment or ask a question, they will do their best to give me all of the information and help I need. The people who run this place are brilliant at knowing how to “triage” questions and problems. I know when I call about anything, they will listen to what I actually need and find the best solution. I seriously can’t recommend Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital enough. I also feel so much better knowing that they aren’t part of a big chain where veterinarians are “supposed” to prescribe, perform, or recommend certain things. Here, I know that the recommendations are truly what would be best for my dog. I love Mill Pond!!

The staff and doctors of Mill Pond are sending our condelonsces to our client whose pet passed on, who is referred to in the below reviews. We have reached out personally to those pet parents. In specific emergency situations, we refer our clients to the closest veterinary emergency hospitals to receive the immediate emergency care their pet needs. The emergency veterinary hospitals we partner with have highly trained emergency veterinarians, technicians and cutting edge equipment for pet emergencies. The highest quality of care for all our patients is always our primary purpose. Laura Langhammer Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital

Last week we called the vet that we have gone to for 13 years because our dog was in serious ditress and we thought she may be dying. We were to that they had an hour backup and even though it was an emergency they couldn't see us and sent us to an animal hospital approximately 20 minutes from our home. They are 5 minutes away. Needless to say, our dog died on the way in our back seat. All this place is interested in is making money, that is it. If we get another pet, it will NEVER GO TO THIS VET! They have seen the last dollar they will ever get from us. As far as I'm concerned, they hastened the death of our beloved dog. SHAME ON YOU Millpond!

I called when my dog ,who was a life long patient, was in distress. I explained that she was probably dying. I was told they were behind schedule and I would need to take my dog elsewhere. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. My dog passed in the car speeding to another vet because they didn't have time for an end of life emergency, SAD

The staff at Millpond is great! They treat our puppies as if they were their own! Jennifer and Ashley are very helpful and answer any questions about the services they offer!! Dr. Lang is a great doctor and we followed him here from Banfield where he took care of our puppies! He is very thorough and takes the time to explain everything and then answers any questions that you may have! I highly recommend Millpond to anyone looking for a Veterinary Hospital!

I can't say enough about Dr. Lang and the entire staff at Mill Pond Veterinary. It's been a pleasure working with them and seeing not only their expertise and professionalism, but the care and compassion they express during each visit. I highly recommend their services.

0 stars if I could. They are money hungry and misdiagnose pets. I brought one dog here to get his rabies vaccine and my other dog to get her nails trimmed at the same time during covid so of course had to stay outside. The nail trimming was in and out no problems. The vet had to call me and tell me that she found a heart murmur on my dog that just needed his rabies shot. Now she is telling me how cute my dog is and that she feels bad for being “the bearer of bad news” and tells me she “can’t promise he won’t die over night” after asking if I can go home to chat with my boyfriend about what we should do next. She advised me to go board him at pieper memorial so they can run extensive tests- we did not do that, we wanted to wait because I had a bad feeling. They ended up doing a heart worm test, but then said they didn’t have to test in office at the time so I had to wait 2 days for results. I called 2 days later- they told me they didn’t have the results back. So I called back another 2 days later and the manager tells me the doctor needs to talk to me and it is very important, but he is in with a patient. Now I’m freaking out because she’s making it seem like my dog is going to die. The vet tech ended up calling me after arguing that the result should have been in days prior to this phone call- the results were negative. So why are they trying to scare me? We brought him to a different vet for a second opinion- 4 vets tried listening for this heart murmur that DID NOT EVEN EXIST. This place misdiagnosed my dog and told me they didn’t know if he would survive the night and wanted me to run extensive testing that would cost thousands of dollars for nothing. Horrible place and I would not want my worst enemy to go here.

We have been bringing our dog here for 13 years and are very pleased w/the service and attention we have received. Although some doctors have come and gone, all have been professionial, compassionate & helpful. Along w/the technicians and staff. there is always a followup call from them to check on your pet. As we move - Thank you for your care over the years.

So hard bringing our anxious lab Tommy to the vets even when we can go in but Mill Pond made it so easy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Minott was wonderful and so comforting- even virtually!! Highly recommended!! Liz

I have four dogs who are taken care of by the incredibly caring staff at Mill Pond. This morning I had to say goodbye to one of my beloved babies. Despite the pandemic, and the strict guidelines, I was given full protective PPE and allowed to be with my dog while Dr. Lang cared for him- and me. He didn’t rush me, he explained everything and swiftly ended my pup’s suffering. Peacefully. Although I am heartbroken, I am grateful to the staff and Doctor Lang for being so kind, knowledgeable and patient. #grateful

Couldn't recommend this place more. I've been in person previously and now during COVID have dropped my cat off. When in person she was taken care of and handled gently, and in all experiences I received extremely clear communication of what she needed, and the veterinarian kindly worked with me to accommodate my financial limitations and provide my cat the best care possible.

We had the unfortunate task of saying our goodbyes to our dog of 15 years, Luna, at their facilities. The staff was so understanding, patient and caring throughout the whole process. "Thank you" is just not enough.
