I have been taking my dogs to Front Range Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Ever since VCA took over, every single time I need an emergency appointment (3 times in the past 3 years) there are none available for days and I am told that I should take my pet elsewhere. Today was the last straw. My 11+ year old dog stopped eating and drinking and they could not see him until Saturday. I now have a new vet.

Love the vets and the staff, they always take good care of my Feral babies. They treat your fur baby as if the animal was part of their own family ????

I called the VCA on short notice as my puppy had started to limp on one of her hind legs and I was worried about what that could mean. Due to COVID measures, they were not taking any new appointments that day, but due to the nature of why I was calling, they allowed me to bring her in and leave her there until they had a spare moment to do a check up. I am so grateful that Dr. Reed was able to squeeze my puppy into her schedule and be able to deliver me good news that the limp my puppy was experiencing was likely not anything serious and just a small strain. The staff and Dr. Reed handled us with such care and grace that I will forever recommend them to anyone who lives here or is just in the area visiting, like I was.

My local vet is out of our cat's type of food. Surprisingly they said it needs a prescription. Strange, seems like a bit much after growing up on the farm. I hear VCA may have it. They want, not just a prescription, but medical records ... for my cat? I comply, get them the records from my vet. I have to call them back over two days to get them to review it. They call and tell me that my cat would have to become their patient ($60+) to sell the food ... the "prescription cat food"! I wouldn't tolerate that unethical medicine for myself; no way I'd tolerate it for a cat.

I can't speak about any of the other vets but Dr Pape is one of the most caring Drs I've ever meet. She's now helped my family through 2 dogs that have lost their battle's and I've been very fortunate to have her by our side. She's absolutely the only reason I'll continue to have my pets medical needs taken care of there. Thank you Leanne for who you are and what you do..????????????♥️♥️♥️

I have taken my two pups here for several years. Each time, they are treated with loving care. Their procedures are explained in detail, and advice is given. I never feel as if they rush through the visit. The pups are actually excited to go through their doors when we visit!

My cat came home with a very swollen paw and I assumed it was broken, called VCA FRAH they put me on hold knowing it was me and my cat needing help. They told me if it was indeed broken they couldnt do anything anyways. The ANIMAL HOSPITAL cant help a broken foot? Hmm ok.

All the doctors, technicians and front end staff are wonderful. They usually can get us in that day or the next day if something comes up. The doctors give you options and talk you through their treatment plans. My pup is 13 and still active!

We have been taking all our dogs to Front Range for over 20 years. We have been very unhappy with their care of our pets since they moved to their new building. I am not sure what is going on in their clinic these days. I do not know if they have grown too much or what but the service is not like before. I called when they first opened on Saturday morning to get my dog in to see a vet. My dog had blood in her urine which she has had in the past. The vet has told me to get her in immediately when she has this going on because she can deteriorate quickly. The person answering the phone told me they could not see my dog until Monday even though I told her my dog had blood in her urine. I am beyond disappointed with their lack of urgency in treating my dog. I am looking for a new vet today who will treat my dog in an emergency situation.

called to ask a simple question about a dog with a severe heart condition..to see if I needed to euthanize her tonight the smart alec child who answered the phone would not let me speak briefly to any one with animal care experience. NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE.

Dr Palgrave is an exceptional vet and I wouldn’t trust my 4 dogs with anyone else. Everyone else at VCA is very caring and does a great job. I highly recommend this hospital and Dr Palgrave for your pet!

Very pushy “sales” like staff. Try to talk you into procedures that are not necessary but recommended, but make them sound necessary. Won’t be coming back here.

I've been sitting in this exam room for 2 hours. My dog is getting antsy and wants to leave. I went to ask someone if we could leave, and they sent us back again. I'm pretty sure they forgot about us

The staff at this office are very friendly and caring! I have a ferret & there aren't very many vets that know much about them but theses guys definitely helped us out when my furry baby's primary vet wasn't open. I am so thankful the helped me & will definitely use them whenever I can't go to my regular vet! ????

We had an appointment at 430 and it took 45 min to get a room. It wasn't until after 1hr that we actual saw someone. I was there for almost 2 hours for 2 shots. While waiting in the waiting room, me and another customer noticed blood and pee on the floor. After mentioning it a few times to the employees, someone finally came and cleaned it up. They were not happy to do so either. No one blocked of or made sure the wet area was clear of traffic before it dried. Sure enough a customer came through, slipped and fell. While they were filling out an accident report for the person that fell, someone finally blocked off the area. At this point we finally made it to a room and waited some more. I have a new puppy that was not used to going to a vet office. When the tech came in to do the shots, she grabbed our dogs head and put it between her legs while standing over him to hold him for the shots. Our poor dog was freaking out, struggling, and screaming it's brains out. Instead of trying to calm our dog, they cram the needle into his neck. He starts struggling more and screaming louder as this needle is moving around like crazy in his neck. They did this twice. My wife was almost in tears and I know the dog will probably be traumatized for the rest of it's life. I've had several pets and been to several veterinarians. I've never seen or experienced anything so unprofessional or chaotic. Maybe it was a fluke but I will never go back or recommend them to anyone.
