Happy Trails Pet Spa and Resort Loveland, Colorado

We’ve been taking both of our dogs here for the last 4 years. We‘ve boarded our dogs on extended vacations, used their grooming and daycare services as well as utilized the anesthesia-free dental cleaning services. The employees are great and our dogs LOVE coming here. We love the webcam option when we board our dogs-yes, we are that kind of pet owners. They are always happy and healthy when we pick them up.

My very first time away from my healthy boxer puppy and I feel terrible that I left him here! I was gone for a week and he came back coughing, dirty, and had lost significant weight! I watched the video cameras VERY often and he was not let out near enough and when he was let out it was a for a very short amount of time. I called and asked about the time being let out and I felt as if they did not care or think I was paying attention to the cameras. I ended up having him picked up early by family because I did not trust what was going on here. Taking him to the vet for kennel cough. :( Do not recommended.

I'm sad to leave this review since our dog has stayed here several times. 3 over night stays for up to 9 days and 2 of those stays he came home with Kennel cough. I realize it's like a cold yet I feel I was lied to. I was told they had no idea about what was going on yet the second he got into the car he started coughing and choking. While at the vet, I was told that 2 other people had just come in with their dogs who also had Kennel cough from this facility. Again, I was told they had no clue. One man came up to me at the vet and said he had called them to let them know and they also told him they had not heard about any dog having Kennel cough. If he called before I did, why did they tell me they hadn't heard anything. I felt I received excuse after excuse and also wish they would have warned me when picking him up. I am sure they won't warn anyone so I am. When I looked on the cameras he never had his blankets or toys which male him feel safe and he's lost a lot of weight.

Very friendly staff. Set everything up over the phone. My puppy loves going.

We were visiting Loveland from Minnesota and needed a last minute place to board our dog for 1 day. Obviously this can be nerve wracking! We went to visit happy trails and met with McKenna and the owner, Jim happened to be there too. They were both so kind and helpful, let us do a full tour, and explained how to use the cameras to watch our puppy while we were gone. Every time I checked the cameras, they were almost spot on of when it was playtime versus rest time. So happy they do separate the dogs during the day because I know ours needs it otherwise he will be WAY wired being only 7 months old. He had a great time and did not come back with any sort of illness or issue. THANK YOU for meeting us last minute and for taking such great care of our puppy!

Please explain to me how you are the cleanest and safest place for pets in CO. when all our pets including our cat has came back from your facility traumatized with kennel cough... I asked to speak with the owner not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES and was told no every. single. time. The fact that you can not handle a poor review is a reflection on you and your business, not your customers. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

10/10 would not recommend for boarding. We took our pets here while we were out of town for a week and decided to bring them here due to all the posative reviews. They may be great for daycare for you pets but if you're going to board your pets spend the extra money and take them somewhere more professional where you KNOW your pets are safe. The lady at the front desk was beyond rude and so unprofessional every interaction I had with her. The only time I felt like my pets were safe and cared for was when I called in the afternoons and talked to a different employee who was very nice and told us she would put our dogs together. Not to metion all of our pets have come back with kennel cough ( which i know there is no guarantee they can't get it even with all their shots) but it's still frustrating that now we have a vet bill on top of paying lots of money to left dissatisfied w the lack of communication and professionalism.

I have been taking care of my dog Max for years. Max is an older dog and he is on quite a few medications. They take the time to give them to him. They know him and treat us like family. Max loves it there.

I had a recent incident where I was hospitalized at the last minute. Everyone at Happy Trails went above and beyond to help accommodate my girls and make things easier on me and my friends who helped get them there and picked up. It was both their first time there, though I had brought my Henry previously, and they absolutely loved it. They did great there, I loved being able to watch them via camera play with the other dogs and see how happy they were and how much fun they were having. Thank you for being so awesome!

I have boarded my dog here many times and only had one bad experience that boiled down to miscommunication: I arrived after 7:30 am on a weekday and the website and sign on the door both said that they opened at 7:30. Turns out, it was a holiday and on holidays they do not open until 8 am but that wasn't posted anywhere. I wished that one of the people staring at me through the doors would have told me that instead of gesturing to their watch as I waited outside with a baby, excited dog, bucket of food, and flapping vet record papers. Or perhaps a note on the door on holidays to inform me of the different opening time. It kind of ruined my day. Anyways, since then, I want to thank them for being friendly and helpful for the rest of my experiences. The latest thing to happen to me that sparked me to update my review is that I had forgotten my proof of rabies when I arrived to get my dog groomed somewhere else. I was able to call and they answered promptly and were ready to fax me a copy or take and send a picture so that I could keep my grooming appointment and not have to start all over. I really, really appreciate that. They went above and beyond and it saved my day.

My dog Roux gets extremely excited to go here every time! The place is clean and has a friendly staff.

I have boarded my daughter's sweet American Akita Eddie (male, over 110 pounds) here 3 times. Due to his size, we prefer he not mingle with other dogs. This facility accommodates dogs who need separate play time. I have always been very happy with the staff and service and Eddie is always happy to go there, the big lug.

Left our dog for 5 nights. Came back in one piece. Very homey feeling environment. Very nice people.

These people really care about the dogs. Doggie daycare is just like daycare for kids, the people at Happy Trails feel like the dogs are just as much a part of the family as kids are.

Very dishonest experience with management... came home from a 5 day trip to find a FOREIGN food mixed into my dog’s food (different color, size, shape) with no explanation or even apologies - just “we didn’t do it”.... “I don’t know what to tell you”...excuse me? My dog has food allergies that produce all manner of horrid symptoms. I will never be able take her here again. Not because of the mistake (or whatever this was) but because of the response and the absolute failure of the trust I placed in them. It’s really too bad.

Our dogs are always so excited to come here!! You can tell they truly love on the dogs after you've left and they always come home happy and exhausted.
