Desperately needed vet service on the second Saturday after the Boulder fires. Special needs cat. Dr Amy and her crew made room for me in their schedule and gave my cat the star treatment, which from what I can tell is what they give every animal who comes through their door.

I've been using LFAH for a year but this was the first in-person visit, Dr. Amy and Tim were so helpful and caring I understand why family is in the name, always my first choice.

Dr. April was amazing with our fur baby. It can be tricky to find a good vet, my experience here was wonderful. Top notch care at a reasonable price.

They lay out costs to you on the phone and give you options for your pets. Louisville Family Animal really cares not only about your pets but your own wellbeing! They are responsive, professional, and quick! Love them!

Thankful for LFAH and their swift action when our puppy ate rat poisonings left in our shed by previous home owner. He was taken in within minutes of our call and administered treatment that saved his life and preserved his health. They've done a wonderful job with our other 2 dogs as well.

Two years ago I moved down to Louisville and hadn't found a vet yet and was cautious as I had a senior cat who had kidney failure and worried about a new vet not wanting to fight for him as I wanted to. I found Louisville family animal hospital and knew I had the right vet. Dr. Ashley and the team at Louisville gave my old guy a lot of quality care and kept me fully informed the whole time. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to my Smokey Joe on Feb. 26 after Dr. Ashley and I agreed there was no more we could do. The whole time he was seeing them he was happy and cared for by an amazing team of vets. Upon hearing of his passing they made a donation in his name and it made me feel as though his death meant something. It was the kindest thing I have ever had a vet clinic do and reminded me that not only did they care for Smokey because he was a patient but because they actually cared for him. It brought me to tears to know they are dedicated to the animals they see all the way until and after they pass. They also see my other cat and my dog and both have received the best care for an affordable price.

Update: My vet agreed that there was infection. They were right to pull the teeth. Original: So disappointed I brought my dog here. They were doing a dental cleaning and told me there might be one tooth removed. They started pulling teeth and wanted to take 20. I called and had them stop halfway through and will be getting a second opinion before my dog is left toothless. A co-worker told me not to go here due to the excessively aggressive approach they took with them. Wish I had listened.

Louisville Family Animal Hospital is wonderful! They are so helpful and kind and understand how scary it is when your pet is sick. Very grateful to have found this place!

Friendly, professional and extremely competent. Dr. Ami is very thorough and took the time to explain everything she recommended. I wouldn’t hesitate to make an appointment or refer friends. I’m a lifelong dog mom and been to many vets over the years. The care here is top notch.

In this challenging time the staff at Louisville Family Hospital continues to provide passionate care while balancing with COVID healthcare protocol. Both are so appreciated.

Our miniature poodle, Sam, has been cared for by Dr. Ami and Dr. Ashley for many years as he has aged and been through a major medical issue. They are very knowledgeable and caring both for our Sam and for us, as the people who love Sam. Sam is doing well now and enjoying his mature years with good health.

They have taken exceptional care of my pup, Phoenix. Unfortunately, his time had come. I wasn't sure how the process would go during the pandemic (all appointments are currently drop off only), but they make an exception for euthanasia. They allowed me to come in and say goodbye and lay with him as he passed. The whole staff was incredibly kind and understanding during this emotional time, answering all of my questions thoughtfully and patiently. Ami, the vet who took care of Phoenix, had gone above and beyond. She explained everything to me in great detail, and most importantly, spent a large portion of her day taking care of my pup despite a completely booked schedule. I don't think I would have received such kind and thorough help had I taken him to any other vet. They really did go above the call of duty, and I am forever grateful for their help.

Louisville Animal Hospital was able to get my little Dachshund in for an appt. after he was yelping in pain. They fit him in between appts. right before Thanksgiving and found the problem. I'm so very grateful for the response and care they gave to my dog.

My first ever experience going to the vet with my new puppy was made incredibly easy by LFAH. I called one morning asking if they had availability to see Smoky (my husky pup) and despite being booked out several weeks, Dr. Ashley made time to see Smoky and assess some issues he was having. Everyone, from the front desk to vet techs to Dr. Ashley herself were very friendly, helpful and informative even with the difficult operating procedures due to COVID-19. Post-appointment Dr. Ashley followed up with detailed information and continued communication via email, answering all my new pup questions. So grateful to Dr. Ashley and the staff at LFAH.

Today was my first time here, and every single person went above and beyond to welcome me and my cat: Michelle at the front desk, Emily the tech who was so sweet and gentle, and Dr. Ami, who was very personable, easy to talk with, and very thorough! Wonderful first impressions.

Took my minpin for dental work. I knew she needed teeth extracted and was so nervous to take her in because she has a hard time with new people. And during the pandemic I knew I wouldn't be able to go inside. The clinic was recommended to me by a friend and I was so happy. They took such good care of my dog and they were patient with her. Dr. Ashley did a wonderful job with the surgery she was thorough and my dogs recovery went very well. Dog dentistry is pricey but they were transparent and up front with cost estimations. This is a wonderful place to take your furry love one for honest care. Thank you Dr. Ashley and everyone at the clinic.

We had an amazing experience with the team at Louisville Family Animal Hospital! They communicated with us throughout the procedure (dental cleaning) and even took before and after photos for us. Our pup was happy and calm when we picked her up.

Although the cost for some dental work on one of my cats seemed high, I definitely want to say that the summaries, reports, follow-up instructions, etc. tell me that all of the staff are VERY competent, VERY caring about monitoring an animal under sedation, and VERY attentive to the welfare of other aspects of the animal being treated.. I feel VERY happy and satisfied with the service rendered and will recommend this facility to others with whom I may come in contact.

Had a pretty bad experience here; they told me a few years ago that my cat "probably had brain cancer", "needed" a brain scan, "would probably need to be put down" and then refused to give her back (held her hostage) until we paid a greviously overpriced bill for absolutely zero treatment. We had our adopted cat diagnosed with damage to her inner ears/deafness/balance issues by our previous veterinarian in Montana, and had brought her in because she was throwing up from vertigo/dizziness, and we were hoping to get a medication to help her with that, and expressly stated that that was what was going on, and provided full medical records to this clinic. Haven't been back since, and we fervently tell people to stay away from here. PS: My cat doesn't have brain cancer, and is doing just fine by the way. She still has bad days of vertigo but we love her very much, and she seems very happy. We would never even think of putting her down.

Caring and knowledgeable staff! Even if I live in Denver now, I will continue to see Dr. Ami and everyone at Louisville Animal Hospital. Thank you for helping my cat out with her seizures! ❤️

This place is WONDERFUL! We called because our 3 year old English bulldog was very sick and his regular vet wouldn't be able to see him for 5 more days. We knew he needed to get medical attention asap so we went out on a limb and called the team here. We are so glad we did! Dr.Nicole and the staff here took such good care of our boy and provided us with amazing care and a wonderful treatment plan. They even provided us with additional treatment methods when we called with ongoing concerns AND called twice to followup and make sure he was doing better. We are so appreciative for their concern and prompt care for a brand new patient! We recommend the team here to everyone that loves their animal like a child and hopes for nothing but the best carefcare them.
