Our four month old GP had a sudden onset of a UTI that was harsh! We brought her in to these guys and they were so great to work with. Very helpful and very reasonable. We are so pleased with the care we received

Amazing experience! We had never been to this office, our own Vet clinic could not take us as a emergency. I called this office and was reassured they would take us that day. We were requesting euthanasia and it was very scary. They took my information ahead of time to expedite our check-in and to avoid me having to verbalize everything when we got there with my children present. When we arrived they immediately took us to a special room just for goodbyes. It was comfortable, large, no exam table just two chairs and couch and a pet bed. We were told to take as much time as needed. Once we were ready the Dr. came in immediately. She explained the process to my family and answered my children's questions. Once she had passed we were again told to take as much time as needed. When we were ready to leave you go directly out a side entrance which was very nice to not have to see a bunch of people. If you ever need this service I would never recommend you go anywhere but here. They are truly kind and amazing. Very professional and sympathetic.

Unfortunately their prices are high enough to kill most pets. Its unethical to charge 5 or 10k for an hours worth of work. The prices are literally killing pets. I recommend you see another vet and put these places out of business. Its racketeering.

Our dog quickly became ill. Our own vet, who we've gone to for years, couldn't squeeze us in. They referred us here. It was apparent, very quickly, that our boy was bleeding internally. The Vet was honest and compassionate. She didn't try to talk or guilt us into extraordinary measures. The time came to euthanize our boy. The entire staff was kind and empathetic. We never felt rushed and took a long time saying good bye. We are forever grateful.

I took my dog here on Monday night after he had a *very* upset stomach. I won't gross y'all out with too many details, but it was...a lot. I apologize that I don't remember the names of everyone who helped us. I called at 8 pm on Monday night and was an absolute wreck because I was worried sick about my boy. A very nice man answered the phone and recommended that I come in. He let me know ahead of time that there were several critical cases that night and that we might wait a while. I really appreciated the heads up. Despite there being critical cases, it was not long at all before my doggo was evaluated by the sweetest vet tech, Brittany. My dog is a rescue and takes a while to warm up to most people-not Brittany! Brittany was SO warm and knowledgeable and really put our minds at ease. She was clearly meant to work with animals! The vet (whose name is escaping me!) was very thorough, explained herself well and my dog really ended up liking her as well. My dog got an x ray, fluids, blood work and a few medications prescribed to him and we were in and out in about 3 hours-not bad especially because they were so busy! On top of everything, I got a follow up email yesterday to see how my boy was recovering at home. I'd highly recommend this group!

CVSG was able to get my dog in for some important tests much faster than similar clinics. Dr. Davis was and her tech were very helpful and knowledgable and made me feel like my dog was in very good capable hands throughout the entire process.

Highly recommend CVSG, they had a bit of a wait (which they warned me about before heading in) but were able to get us in quicker than anticipated when our vet couldn’t. Everyone on staff from the vet herself to the front desk staff were polite, kind, and professional. They quickly assessed my dogs needs and got him taken care of. Their lobby is comfortable and spacious and they work to get you in a room and more comfortable as quickly as they can. Hope we don’t have to come back but know there is a great place to go to if we need it.

As a referring veterinarian I am so pleased with CVSG! They have taken in many of our transfer patients who require more intensive care or emergency surgery and have always done a wonderful job getting these pets the care they need, keeping owners informed, and keeping us as their regular vet informed of their progress as well. Right now it is so hard to find someplace to take pets experiencing emergencies because everywhere is so busy with all the pets needing care. But they have always done a great job providing compassionate top notch care to pets and their owners even when they are busy too. We are grateful for them helping so many pets with kindness and efficiency. Thank you!

The vets and staff took excellent care of my sweet Lilah during her four day stay last week! I received updates on her care twice daily. They are upfront about costs, and give low and high end estimates for treatment. I highly recommend CVSG.

Have brought in 2 pets to them. Their work volume too high for them, unable to care for pets like they should. Especially f/u care.

For emergency services you can't get a more compassionate group of employee's to take care of your animals, unbelievable people when you need help with your animals. It was my veterinary's referral after being at a VCA animal hospital twice before in the last 5 years. I've been in sales all my life and the only thing VCA care's about is how much an animal is suppose to make when they come in. If you go there, you have been warned. If i was retired and had the funds I would spend the rest of my life putting them out of business. Don't walk in there without a high limit credit card because no matter what shape your animal is in your not going to get help. Please, if you cherish your family members as I do these are the only people in town you want to save your animals especially in an emergency situation. God bless them all!! Denny

We saw Dr. Amy yesterday to evaluate our golden retriever who had just been diagnosed with lymphoma and was declining. She was very kind, fair and helpful during our visit. She went out of her way to help us find the appropriate care for him that day. We are so thankful for her kindness and will always remember her.

Sat for over 2 hours. Doors are super thin so I had to listen to the staff talk #&#^ about other patients while I waited for my dog. I sat so long the lights went out in my room. No one ever came with updates ...they just leave you waiting while the staff laughs in the next room. Will never bring a pet back. Don't make the same mistake I did in coming here.

After my regular vet failed to diagnose or help my boy in any way, I found myself rushing him here around midnight. Everybody was very nice and my boy was seen very quickly. As i mentioned, my regular vet did not diagnose or prescribe my boy anything and his condition continued to decline. CVSG held my dog for two nights and were finally able to give me an actual diagnosis. I would like to especially thank Carolina O for taking the time to explain his diagnosis to me and where we were to go from there. Thanks to everybody at CVSG, my boy is finally on the mend and I am seeing improvements every day! Thank you!!

In August, our dog Audrey was limping and holding her right rear paw up 100% of the time. We took her to CVSG where she was evaluated by on Dr. Freund, one of the surgeons on staff. Dr. Freund told us she had a torn ACL (CCL in dog lingo). She explained to us that, unlike humans, where the typical treatment is replacement of the ACL with cadaver ligament or patella ligament, the usual treatment for dogs is a TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy). This is a big surgery, which entails cutting through the tibia up near the knee joint and then rotating the top piece of the tibia such that the tibial plateau is more horizontal, which prevents the femur from sliding backwards (which the ACL normally prevents). The scope of the procedure worried us, but we went ahead with the surgery. They were able to schedule the surgery within a week of our visit. It is now 9 weeks later, and Audrey's leg is perfect. We will continue to keep her on light duty for a couple of more weeks, but essentially she is now totally normal. I have a high regard for both Dr. Freund and the rest of the staff at the clinic. Her orthopedic skills are top notch. Also, she and the rest of the staff were at all times kind and empathetic. They took calls from us at three in the morning with no hint of irritation. I recommend CVSG very highly.

We took our dog in Wednesday night for vomiting. X-rays and labs done. We were told everything was normal. Sent home. Fast forward two days and our dog is back in their er and dies from an adrenal mass that was undetected in imaging or bloodwork and could only be seen on ultrasound. Dr. Polage is their chief emergency medical officer and stands by the assessment and treatment done on Wednesday and that there was no negligence. It is clear the mark was missed. Not to mention the doctor that saw us Wednesday is telling us about a dog that got their eye bit by another dog that night and when she went to fix the eye and put the dog under sedation it died. That doesn’t necessarily put your mind at ease about the care you are going to get when your worried about your sick animal. I was underwhelmed with the care and would never recommend this place to anyone.

o hello there !

We chose this place after reading good reviews but would never go again. Charged over $800 only to be given wrong diagnosis for our fur baby, sent to another animal ER 40 minutes away where they told us a different diagnosis and we would be moved to yet another animal ER next day! CVSG should have found the major spinal problem that caused the high heart rate and BP due to massive PAIN, he had a very visible bulging disc, not send us 40 minutes away and to be misdiagnosed heart condition to be charged $2000 only to be sent to yet another ER. He was in so much pain and they made him walk only to say his nails were too long. No pain meds. Only torture. Our sweet dog was put down at 2nd ER after many hours of pain without us there. Shame on CVSG

Best vet experience we’ve had in a long time. The technician and vet both listened to our concerns, took care of our dog and we’re happy to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend!

Our golden retriever Gotham ate a sock. The team did a wonderful job caring for him and with surgery. Gotham usually has anxiety when he goes to his normal vet, but he wagged his tale when we went back for a followup. Dog mom and dog approved! Thanks for saving our pup and treating him so well.

I have gone to this place three prior times and had good care those prior times but this weekend I brought my dog in to see them. The doc on call was great but the follow-up care I received was not great. I brought my dog home after being at the clinic in the early morning hours on Sunday, 10/3. When I brought my dog home I experienced difficulties and called them back at 1:30 and spoke to the receptionist. I explained the problems. They said they would have someone return my call. By 6:00 pm no call back and the dog is throwing up now when he had an anti-nausea shot. I called back. Explained the situation and was told they would call me back. Monday morning still no call, I got in touch with my regular vet. They are booked but encouraged me to reach back out to CVSG. I did that, only to get a tech on the phone to tell me that if the dog was throwing up and not eating it must be a neurological issue to take him elsewhere. I didn't get to speak to a doctor and they refused to see the dog again. My vet has since then stepped in and taken over and I let my vet know what transpired. My vet usually recommends this facility which is why I went with them the prior times. But this time, I didn't get the care at all I've had from the past and the person who spoke to me was condescending and uncaring. If they can't followup on treatment after seeing the dog then I'm not sure why they bother to begin with.

It's a long story but I'm so blessed to have found this team of humans. My boy Charlie ( 1 year old snowshoe cat) is gonna be okay now. The whole team is awesome. I am so relieved. You all are good humans! Many blessings to this entire organization!

Too big too busy. I stopped to see my dog that is in the ER for the next couple of days and after waiting for an hour was told that they were too busy to bring her to me to see. I just wanted 5 minutes with my girl to see how she is doing. Frustrating.

We unfortunately had an emergency and had to bring our girl in. The team there did everything they could but unfortunately we had to euthanize her. I'm obviously heartbroken but I'm so grateful for everything they did to try and save her. I can't imagine a better team to trust to take care of our pets

This clinic saved my dog’s life. He was having trouble breathing around 11pm and this was closest to my house. They got him in oxygen right away and X-Rayed him to discover heart failure. He got to come home 2 days later and is now doing great. Thank you so much to the round the clock team here! - Benicio the Chihuahua and his Mom

We were referred here because our dog was suddenly in obvious discomfort, refusing to eat, and having some trouble walking but our regular vet could not squeeze us in immediately. We had a very positive experience with Dr. Coffman, who took the time to talk everything through with me and was very reasonable in presenting a care plan prioritizing what was truly urgent versus what could safely be done as follow up at our regular vet. Dr. Coffman prescribed some meds that helped right away. Thanks!

Unfortunately had to bring our cat in to CVSG due to a severe illness. In a stressful situation, from the intial phone call with Sam B, she answered our questions intelligently and reassured us that we were doing the right thing for the welfare of our cat. Once we arrived at the clinic, Sam B. was even more reassuring, emphathetic and answered all of our questions/concerns with patience, integrity and expertise. She supported us throughout the entire process and could not have been a better ally throughout an otherwise challenging situation. We thank Sam B. and the entire staff at Colorado Veterninary Specialty Group and highly reccommend them for any veterinary needs!
